The nail techs were super friendly and professional. They took their time with Mom to make her feel special which meant alot as she rarely treats herself. The manager checked on us several times to make sure we were okay and that we weren't waiting too long. We really appreciated that attention to detail. I used to love this salon, but I stopped going. You never get the person you make an appointment with, and you keep having to switch seats. This is especially hard when I go with my mom who has dementia. I was going there for over 2 years and I would have an appt and still have to wait while other would walk in and be taken care of before me. I got sick of being treated like that. There is also no online appointment system- it's all made on the phone and the owner uses a paper appointment book. He's messed up my appointments a few times (not surprised). I went for a pedicure and full set. However, the pedicure took two hours, so that's all I got done. The water was cold until I said something. Then, it exploded out of the drain in the drain and soaked my shoes. The polish was old and looked awful. By this time, I was two hours in and had to leave, so I ended up with a clear coat only and poorly removed color from the old polish. I was offered nothing for my poor experience or soaked shoes (that I couldn't wear out of the salon). I basically paid $50 to soak my feet in a foot bath for two hours. Do NOT recommend. read more

Literally the worst and most expensive mani pedi I've ever gotten. I stopped by this salon because I just moved to Rockton and was on my way to target to return some items and it's across the street. They accommodated my walk in so I'll give them 1 star, plus I think Yelp makes me. However they acted like I was such an inconvenience walking in that I just asked for a mani at first instead of the pedicure that I also wanted. I get dip manicures, have been for about 5-6 years now, but this salon does it "different". They do clear dip and then paint no chip polish over it. They neglected to tell me that until I was halfway into my manicure. That to me is the equivalent of a no chip polish-the reason I get dip is that my nails still chip with no chip polish. Plus the clear dip application the tech did on me is so thick and awful, I'm a nurse and I don't want fake gross looking nails, I want to look clean and polished. And then the no chip she applied was uneven and lumpy. THEN the owner came around and had the audacity to tell me I ABSOLUTELY HAD to come back in two weeks for what they call a "dip fill" or else my nails will grow out and water will get under and I will get an infection. UM WHAT. 100% blatant scam or total health violation-my money is on both. I had already agreed to a pedicure at this point (they asked me at the beginning of my mani even though they acted like they barely had enough time to fit me in for that, I really needed it so I said yes-should have said no) and at the end of my mani I thought to myself how bad can you mess up a pedicure really? Well that whole part went fine until it was time to do my no chip and the tech kept bumping the UV light into my uncured toes, so she had to take the polish off and redo it multiple times. The lady that did my nails went on break while I sat there for a good 20-30 minutes. She then proceeded to drill my natural nail off leaving me with inflamed nails. I called ahead and asked how much it would be to soak off an acrylic set, they said $15. When I got there they recommended a clear coat, which I figured would only be $10 maybe $15. Midway through I asked how much my total would be so I could grab the proper amount, and they overcharged me and my total was $45, for a clear coat. read more

These are the fanciest nails I've ever gotten. I also got a deluxe pedicure by April and she was super gentle and kind to me. Wife got me in there for a Pedi with her. I sat down in this massage chair and had my feet in a hot water bath and they even brought me some booze. I was doing good, I didn't even care about getting anything done with my feet but this girl comes over and cuts my nails and then chops up my feet with this cheese grater. Then massaged my feet with some type of grainy lotion or something, I didn't care the sh!t felt good to me. I passed up on coloring my toes and I just sat there enjoying the massage chair while I waited for my wife to finish her Pedi. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was there was this lil dog running around in there getting under people's feet. It was running into my wife freshly done toenails and stuff. I went to Lavish nails for just a basic pedicure. A basic pedicure I was told is $25.00. They had a huge sign in window that said 30% off all pedicures only.. So it should have been $17.50 she charged me $20.00. When I got home I called and a male employee answered I told him I was charged wrong. He said that there is some kind of tax so it brings it to $19.00 and some change so they just make it an even $20.00....are you kidding me. First of all no tax is suppose to be on a service. The first time i went here, my nails turned out amazing! As for recently... they ended up looking awful and i had to go home and fix them myself. I had a picture for reference and i showed it to the lady doing my nails and she said "I got you. no worries" and it was the farthest thing from what i wanted. She had to redo my nails multiple times because she seemed to not know what she was doing. The "french tip" she did was also very uneven, and I would have preferred a pink acrylic base so you didn't see as much of my nail. I got told that my fingers were crooked when i've never had an issue with that at any other salon. Also, the station I was at was very dirty and she got nail polish all over my hands. When I said i was not happy with my nails, she got mad at me for not speaking up sooner, which I get, but she was very rude about it. I really wanted to love this place but I just couldn't...the girl that did my pedi was so sweet but after I left, I could see through my polish. The girl that did my no chip mani didn't say much to me, she talked to the worker sitting next to her mostly. When she was done she didn't ask if I liked my nails she just told me I was done. I could see visible blemishes. Yes, it was homecoming weekend so I understand it was busy but I hoped for better customer service. The girl that did my daughters mani/pedi did a good job. I have very mixed feelings about this place. My best friend swears by them, however when she booked an appointment for me to get a manicure and a pedicure the day before my wedding, I ended up incredibly disappointed. The staff there is super friendly and it's a fun and relaxing environment. However with my appointment I ended up with the most inexperienced new staff member they had. I asked her to to draw a design on my thumbs, and it took forever. She kept wiping off what she painted on and this happened about ten times before the design was sufficient enough to keep. While I understand that everyone needs to learn somehow, I don't think I should have been charged full price for having someone who was that new and inexperienced. Additionally, she cut some of the cuticles on my fingers and also on one of my big toes too short and they became red and inflamed. I had been here previously a handful of times before and this was by far the worst manicure pedicure experience I have had there. This place does not value their customers. Last week, I came in for an appointment to get one nail fixed. I drove 40 minutes to get there, and got stuck at a few lights on 173 for two cycles. Because of this, I was less than 10 minutes late. After driving all this way for ONE nail, they turned me away, so I had to drive another 40 minutes back after not having the nail fixed, and wasted both time and gas. I mentioned what happened to a few people, and they were all shocked that Lavish handled the situation so poorly, so I decided to reach out to them and express my concerns. They did not acknowledge my concerns, but told me that's just the way it is. Apparently they have a 5 minute "grace" period, (I was only two minutes over the grace period) and they turn people away after that if they don't Google the number and call them while driving. (which is illegal; if a cop sees you typing on your phone you will get in trouble!) I understand a big delay could cause scheduling issues on their part, but there should be a certain amount of leniency when dealing with customers. Especially if they're only two minutes over the grace period and came in for one nail. The nail art they do is cool, but they never listened when I told them I like my nails super short and always left with very long nails. They also fall off really easily. I am giving them one star because being decent to customers is the bare minimum for any business and they failed to do that for me. read more

My daughter and I got no chip manicure and pedicure at Lavish as a special treat for her over her college spring break. We had never been there before, and will not return. We were happy with our experience there, and each of us gave our staff person a $10 tip. However, my daughter's chipped in two days. She called and asked the manager if he would refund her via a gift card to be used on future services $5. She felt this was half of the $10.00 difference in price between a no chip and a routine manicure. She was willing to "split the difference." He said no, but she could come in and he would fix the chips. However, she lives 2 1/2 hours away, is away at college. Therefore, this was not an option. I went in and showed him a time stamped picture of her chipped nails. He still said no. He was willing to lose two customers and all our referrals to keep $5. read more

I'm pretty sure the person who did my pedi had no license as she was folding towels and cleaning when I came in. They were busy and while mine was being done another person from the back was asked to take polish off some of the people in chairs. The pedi was awful. I then waited 30 minutes for a mani and ended up walking out. There were several people who had appointments asking when they would be seen.
