If I could select 0 as a rating I would. This studio is a joke. My daughter has been enrolled throughout the summer and they have cancelled 3 of her classes due to staffing issues. We received NO call ahead of time to warn us not to waste our time traveling to the studio. When we asked for our money back they ignored us and told us we could just "make up" the class. We are busy parents and the only class that works for our schedule is the class we are signed up for. This place should be reported for theft. We came in for a beginner's trial. Turned out that it was too easy so we decided so stay a little longer to try and see how the advanced class would be like. It would be understandable for the customer to try and decide which class is the best fit right? No! We got charged for two classes for $36! For one night. Even thou we soo just wanted to sit on the bench for the beginners class and wait. The receptionist Olga is so rude. And we were not allowed to negotiate or talk to the owner. Natasha was so much fun to work with! My fiance and I worked with her on a choreographed first dance for our wedding. Our guests were blown away. She is such an energetic person that it is absolutely infectious! Actually it was quite brilliant because she actually had us fake out by pulling the typical high school dance and then at a point in our first dance song we broke out with a full choreographed dance to the beat! We had to prepare for our first dance last minute, and we are so glad to have found Dance In Style - Natasha! In just few weeks, Natasha helped us choreograph a fun and impactful dance routine in two styles - waltz and cha cha. Natasha worked with two music we chose and created the routine according to our dance ability. She records the routine and shares the video with us. It was super helpful to see how we look dancing and to remember the routine. The restorative yoga class that Kristina teaches on Sunday nights is fantastic. I've never been to a yoga class quite like this one and it's been a secret weapon when it comes to relieving my back pain. I only wish it were offered more than once a week! Cons worth mentioning: Mostly a thin wall problem. Traffic is noisy outside the studio. Also if there are any other classes going on at the same time as a yoga class you can easily hear it through the walls and it's really distracting. read more

Russian dance lessons for kids here! Pluses- people here are pretty nice and the kids are encouraged to participate without their parents. It was hard at first for mommies to not be able to see their kids dance but I totally understand why the classes are set up this way. Be forewarned if you like to hover over your little ones because you will only be able to see them dance through a tiny peep hole and during their annual dance recital. I love the teacher and I would recommend families to bring their kids in for a free trial class for sure! read more

We take our kid to LA Vida every week. She loves it. She loves to dance and the teachers are great. The location is great and they have lots of classes to choose from. Its a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. The classes usually have 4 to 5 kids; so child to teacher ratio is low. read more

Natasha is an amazing instructor! With only 2 months to our wedding, we decided to do something choreographed, and we were afraid we couldn't pull something together. However, Natasha had us doing the fox trot by our first lesson and the west coast swing all by our second, and we were most of the way there in no time!. She was so relaxed and made us feel confident to make mistakes and keep trying. She adapted to our skill set quickly and designed something that was classy but such a crowd pleaser -- our guests cheered every 30 seconds ! If we lived closer to her studio we would've signed up for her regular classes, she was just so much fun to learn from. So after many years of saying I was going to learn the Tango I finally decided to commit myself and do just that. The hard part was to now find the best instructor. Kristina is an exceptional teacher who is able to clearly explain the steps and movements. She breaks it down so that you don't just memorize the steps, but also learn to walk the walk and feel the connection. I have studied with several teachers in Seattle and have found that Kristina's approach has a most unique method of breaking down the intricacies of tango into a most easy to learn experience. This is by far the best place to learn how to dance, that I have seen so far. No matter if you already know something, or if you are an absolute beginner. No matter if you learn new movements easily, or if you struggle with every step because you never danced before. I am saying this from a personal experience of taking Argentine tango classes and private lessons there. I am a difficult student. But Kristina is a very talented teacher! I tried to learn dancing several times in my life. And failed. But in La Vida, it all suddenly started to work due to unique attention and special exercises! I have also seen dance classes there in different dance styles, other than Argentine tango. And there are many kids classes too! The rooms are big and comfortable. I'm so glad I had an opportunity to bring my daughter to Dance InStyle Studio. My daughter now is 16 y.o. When she was 11 y.o. I took her to a different studio in town that had huge number of kids in a group and all they did all class was following the teacher in front of them with no correction and attention and I saw no progress in anything. Here though Natasha - an instructor - is absolutely amazing! She keeps group size to maximum of 8 people and gives attention to every kid during the class. She is somehow able to make class be laid back and at the same time keeps them on their "toes" so they truly learn things in a comfortable way. I never wanted my daughter to be professional or to even compete as it is quite a lot of money, but I wanted her to be able move gracefully and fix her posture. Besides accomplishing these goals she now knows basic steps to dances like waltz, salsa, swing, cha-cha, tango - social dances that she will be able to use through out her life. She became SO confident after going to Natasha's classes that even during prom everyone where staring at how she moved and giving her complements. As a mom I can not be happier. I highly recommend Kids dance classes at Dance InStyle studio to everyone I know. Oh, and another thing - they do not require to have dance partner! My daughter has so much fun that now she teaches her dad and they dance at our family gatherings together too. :) read more

I have been to LaVida for a Yoga class and an all day yoga/ayurveda retreat. Both times, I was very pleased with the staff, the instruction, and the quality of space. The yoga room is upstairs and has plentiful windows, which allows for natural light. Also, it is one of the few surviving studios that do not offer hot yoga = there is no bad smell, and you can truly explore your body.The studio is also very clean. I have been doing yoga for years and am quite a snob when it comes to the quality of space, and this space is just perfect. read more

My husband and I have been taking rumba lessons from Natasha and have really enjoyed them. She teaches at the right level, that is exactly to our ability. She introduces improvement to our movement or new steps just when we are ready, and she does not want us to over think but just learn through moving and dancing. Her explanations are easy to follow and that makes hard steps easy. Her choreographies are natural and elegant; no wonder other couples she worked with had great successes with their "first dances". She obviously likes teaching because she gets happy and excited when we really get it. 5/22/2016 I am sorry to say that this is NOT the place for kids to learn dance. The instructors are too self absorbed to teach and this was clearly shown in todays recital performance. I witnessed on a number of occasions the director and staff yelling at people and must admit that no respect was given by any staff member to their youth pupils or parents. A number of parents were "allowed" to show the same disrespect and this came to a head when the final performance on stage ended and the cast was being introduced - many parents went up on stage to give flowers to their kids while the remaining cast members were still being introduced. This was out of control and the curtain had to be closed before all were introduced. This might be a good place for adult dance lessons, as they obviously had better instruction, more time spent in rehearsals and more time on stage. Please consider carefully for youth dance classes. read more

I have taken my daughter and nieces to this studio for the last 2 years and frankly I disagree with the one star rating given below about last performance. You cannot judge a dance studio recital based on the backstage experience. My daughter has been onstage at least 3 times and I never had a negative experience during the performance. My daughter requires special education and even though none of the teachers are special education specialists they have gone beyond to show compassion and determination in making sure my daughter is able to learn in the same level like the other children. My daughter would have never achieved her full potential without Natalya and Umario's help. I even attended a Salsa 4-week session with my husband and we had so much fun! The salsa teacher was fantastic. So to say this place is not appropriate for young children is not a true statement. I will be forever thankful to the teachers for caring about my daughter's special needs and also for encouraging her always to do better. The growth I have witnessed from her first day 2 years ago to now is beyond what I expected. I have taken my daughter to other dance studios and many teachers would give up and just ignore her. This has NEVER been the case in La Vida. This is a family oriented place and there are classes for everyone. read more

LaVida is such a beautiful dance studio with great instructors! My husband and I have been going for private waltzing lessons (which we had been talking about taking for the past four years) with Irina. We have no talent for dancing and knew we would feel too nervous to take a group class, but when we saw how reasonable the prices were for private lessons I signed us up as a gift for my husband's birthday. Irina has been absolutely amazing! She is incredibly patient, working with us to gradually build skill after skill, from how to move our feet to when to dip or rise with cute tips and visualizations for remembering how something works ("Imagine you're a swing, rising and falling, rising and falling..."). She always praises us for each new thing we manage to tackle and gives us hints and feedback for what to work on next. We leave every lesson feeling like we've learned so much and pushed ourselves further while enjoying it all thoroughly. It's also such a gorgeous place to spend an hour with all the wood floors, big mirrors and windows, and cool air! We'd highly recommend this studio to anyone wanting to learn to dance. read more

My wife and I worked with Natasha to create a surprise choreographed dance for our wedding reception. We presented her with the music we wanted and she created a dance which was sure to win the crowd over (and it did!). Not having any prior dance experience, it was important for us to have focused, private lessons without an audience of strangers. Natasha started the learning process from the ground up and immediately made us feel comfortable and confident in learning the routine. She was extremely friendly, encouraging and overall a great teacher. Her enthusiasm for dance was evident from our first meeting, and it was obvious that she was genuinely excited about our routine. The studio itself was ideal and had the intimacy and privacy we were looking for. Since it's based out of her home and our schedules required lessons during the evening, there were a few "family distractions", but not enough to ruin any of the lessons.
