Marisa is a amazing! From booking to the actual private class, Marisa made it easy and super fun! Planned for a surprise pole dance class for our bride to be and everyone had an extremely awesome time. Marisa does not ever come across as a judgy person and you feel comfortable with everything, though you may not know the moves at all! She made us feel beautiful and we had such a great time with bruises to commemorate this awesome session! I am not sure if it is because we had a small private party that it was not the studio as pictured. We were at Marisa's place which she converted an area to be a private studio with 4 poles. Though small, it was intimate and a great atmosphere - not to mention super reasonable pricing! The small routine she taught was sensual and challenging enough where you want to try it over and over again! The best part was she allowed us to bring/drink some liquid courage, which is super nice and accommodating considering we were here for a bachelorette party! Gorgeous place and amazing instructor Marisa! If it wasn't so far from me I would definitely like to take classes with her on a regular basis. If anyone asks me for a pole dance class recommendation, I wouldn't hesitate to suggest Spinderella or Marisa!!! Now...work it! read more

I've taken several classes here and I LOVE this studio! The instructors are great and the studio is a beautiful space. Marisa offers three levels of pole classes: beginning, intermediate, and advanced. I took the beginner class and instantly felt confident and sexy. I felt like I belonged! Marisa and Jasmine are encouraging of women of all capabilities. In addition to dancing, they invite guest instructors to teach new classes (most recently hula hoop!) and host workshops. They also recently added Zumba to the weeknight lineup. The studio is brand new and conveniently located in Woodinville just two minutes off hwy 522. It's on the second floor of a commercial complex with ample parking. The dance space has lots of natural light and mirrors, but is sufficiently private to get your groove on. When I decided to try pole dance first, I choose a different school, which was a disaster! Long story short, a little over a year ago I found spinderella and I fell in love with it. Sammamish studio is even better than woodenwille. In comparing to my first studio, Spinderella is: 1. Clean 2. There's a heater and ac 3. Floors aren't tile or cheap vinyl, or concrete. 4. There are mirrors! 5. There's light! 6. They don't expect you to scream or take ur clothes off. 7. Jasmine& Marisa are amazing! They are supportive (sometimes, even physically Ahahahhaah),very friendly, they won't make you feel stupid even if you look stupid:) If you are hesitating, my advice is GO TO SPINDERELLA! I just finished up a six-week intro to pole series with the amazing Marisa, and I've got bruises on every limb to prove it. Honestly, I feel like I've joined a cult of self-love, and it's miraculous. Are you in love with yourself? No, really, I'm asking you a serious question -- do you wake up each day and acknowledge your awesomeness? ** If you answered yes, I probably don't need to tell you that you'd probably love pole -- it's just one more way you can express your personality, and it's a great workout. ** If you answered no, I've got a supplemental question: Do you *want* to fall in love with yourself? I hate to focus on that self-love business again, but seriously, pole is a fantastic tool in starting down that journey. Classes at Spinderella focus on you and what your body is capable of doing. If you're anything like me, you'll be astonished at the victories you accomplish in each class and how freaking fantastic you are... and like I said, you'll have the bruises to prove it. The instructors I've worked with are wonderful teachers who ensure you're performing all of the moves correctly and safely. They're not drill sergeants and they focus on what you're *capable* of doing -- they make you feel like a badass, even if you're on attempt 572 of the butterfly whip. I'm not exaggerating that many of my 'performances' have included flailing, awkward laughter and "uhhh I forgot how to do this..." and that's totally rad and accepted. Marisa, Jasmine and the other ladies of Spinderella have helped give me the gift of being willing and able to accept my own awesomeness. Their positivity is contagious, and it's not an exaggeration to say that pole, as an art form, is soul-bearing -- the bond of sharing that vulnerability with others and knowing you're in a safe space is absolutely intoxicating and liberating. I'm not the most athletic or agile person, I don't have much upperbody strength, I may not have the prettiest spins but those things don't take away from how happy my successes make me -- it only makes me excited to continue to grow. ...Also, booty. read more

Haven't even signed up yet! But this is the place to be if you want to get to know your teachers before you sign up and see the studio! She made her studio on her home property so it's a very intimate setting with only 6 people tops per class! Not to mention very very affordable and there are class passes if you want to go hardcore! They took their time to introduce themselves, completely chill and sweet people. I can see already just very good souls. This is a place for a person who wants to connect with their body and heighten their self love while learning intense pole training! What a combo! Can't wait to sign up! I haven't forgot about you guys, thanks again for making time for me to meet you all and see if it was a right fit. The only other studio on the eastside wouldn't let me do that and when my boyfriend came into pay for my classes for me as a gift he was treated horrible at the last place. I had never taken a pole class (or anything like it!) when I decided to try a beginner class here with a couple of friends. It was a fantastic experience, and I am beyond amazed at the strength and endurance it takes to pull off these moves. The ladies here are incredible! Marisa taught our class and was incredibly sweet and encouraging. Her descriptions were thorough, and she took the time to come around to each student to help us really figure out what we were doing. On top of teaching us how to physically do some crazy stuff on a pole- she talks a lot about loving yourself, embracing who you are, and being free to express yourself. It was a much deeper, more empowering experience than I had expected. The student showcases are a similar environment- Marisa encourages students to develop their own routines, and they perform for each other in what she calls 'The Darkened Room'. The lights are dimmed in the studio to almost nothing, a single light is place above the pole, and the performances are stunning. The girls are all extremely encouraging of each other- and it's No Boys Allowed (most of the time!). On top of all that- Spinderella supports local artists! What's not to love?! read more

I honestly can not thank Marissa enough for making my friend's bachelorette party a HUGE success. Never had I slid on a pole or participated in the event until I went to Spinderella Studio, Woodinville! The Studio is large, open and well equipped. The instructors were professional, informed, excellent teachers and FUN! If you've never given it a whirl this is a magnificent place to experiment. I recently took the Silks and Strength Conditioning class instructed by Sean. It was very challenging for this older out of shape guy but I could tell it was good for me. I brought a bandanna to keep sweat out of my eyes and it was completely soaked within the first half an hour. It was hard for me to keep up with the small class but I made it through to the end and my t-shirt was drenched in sweat. I did feel like giving up a couple of times but I just powered through and did what I could. I am sure my flexibility and strength will improve and this will be good for my back and core. I highly recommend these classes for something different and a great work out!! read more

Marisa is so supportive, fun, and clearly loves her job. The classes are challenging but Marisa and the other teachers are so encouraging that you are guaranteed to be surprised at what you can do...it's like they knew you could do it all along ;-) The studio itself is gorgeous and the other ladies that attend the classes create an empowering atmosphere. This is a beautiful studio. The instructors are very encouraging, considerate and creative with their routines/combos. No two classes are the same and you will find yourself constantly challenged to learn and perfect the spins, transitions and holds. I have taken classes with Marisa and Cherene and they both have their own unique distinct style. It is so fun and inspiring to watch them dancing. Most importantly they are passionate about what they do. I highly recommend taking the intro pole series followed by the progressive pole series. I just completed the progressive pole series and was so surprised at how much I learned in just six weeks. There are things you will be introduced to that will really challenge your strength (and most likely pain tolerance) but in the process you learn how to be patient with yourself. The community here is also so supportive. If this is something you have been curious about but haven't tried yet because you felt intimidated, you will forget all about any fears or insecurities because you'll be too busy trying to wrap your brain around the newest transition. Plus spinning around a pole is just plain fun! There are times when you'll just get lost in the music and dance like no one is watching. Try it, you will not regret it. See you in class! read more
