Extremely disappointed with my experience…read more I came to La Vida Med Spa in April specifically requesting Dysport. During my consultation, I was encouraged to try Jeuveau instead because it was on sale. I explained that I had previously tried Jeuveau for nearly a year at another med spa and did not love the longevity or the results, but I was still encouraged to move forward with it. I contacted the spa because I was already noticing movement returning in my face in the first 4-6 weeks and was disappointed with the results, especially after spending nearly $500. I returned because I was still unhappy with the results and wanted to achieve the outcome I originally came in for. At that visit, I was charged another $450+ to finally receive Dysport. There was no real accommodation offered other than being told it was "new client pricing." At this point, I have spent close to $900 in less than four months trying to get the results I was expecting from my initial visit. What is most frustrating is that I specifically communicated my concerns about Jeuveau upfront based on my previous experience, yet I still feel like my concerns were not taken seriously and absolutely ripped off. I also received a follow-up call from a manager after expressing my disappointment. Unfortunately, the conversation left me feeling dismissed. I was told that results vary from person to person and that there would be no reimbursement or resolution. The conversation also focused on the fact that I did not come in at the two-week follow-up, but there was no issue at two weeks -- the movement and concerns developed afterward. I understand that results can vary with injectables, but I expected better communication, customer service, and accountability when a treatment was recommended despite my expressed concerns. After spending nearly $900 and feeling like my concerns were more focused on generating another charge rather than ensuring I was satisfied with my results, I will not be returning.

I have one goal in life: to relax and find good in others. I'm a school teacher and it is easy to become critical at the performance or efforts of others. I find myself wound up so tightly that my shoulders are in knots and my neck is often extremely tense. I discovered LaVida massage over 5 years ago and have been through a divorce and near death of family members. Life has not been very kinds at times. It's when I feel this overwhelming pressure from outside influences that I treat myself to a LaVida massage. I say "a LaVida massage" because there are many therapeutic facilities that promise a relaxing massage; but none like LaVida massage offers. I always receive the best, most professional help as soon as I step in their Gilbert facility. The sound is soothing, their chairs and therapeutic quarters are comfy, and their personnel is distinguished and knowledgable. I am not bogged down by a therapist who feels it soothing to discuss their past massages. I am simply treated like a king and feel that their goal at LaVida is to cater to my relaxation experience. And not do the therapists do exactly that. From Allison to Ann and from Lori to Daisy, these ladies are kind and thorough in their massages. I have received deep tissue massages from Lori and have left a new man. And, I have received relaxation massages from Ann and Allison that has allowed me to simply forget about any worries that I had allowed to bother me. I am confident that each time I enter the Gilbert and Queen Creek facility, I will always receive a quality and relaxing experience that will help me unwind and move forward into a happier and more relaxed state of mind. From the sound of Victoria's comment, it was written in anger rather than fair judgement. As it happens, I am a regular customer at LaVida Massage and it's a very strange coincidence I was receiving a massage at the exact time this party arrived. What Victoria failed to mention is that her party was EXTREMELY loud and inconsiderate of the peaceful atmosphere LaVida Massage provides. I was in one of the back rooms of the spa and I could hear their 'clucking' as if they were right outside my door. RUDE. My therapist repeatedly apologized though it was no fault of hers. I go to LaVida Massage because it is a relaxing and serene atmosphere with top quality massage therapists. Their knowledge and professionalism is something other spas strive for. They offer incomparable rates and all sorts of modalities tailored to your specific needs from general relaxation to chronic pain relief. They also offer facials! I've been to other spas and I feel like I'm part of an assembly line. At LaVida, I've always been made to feel like I'm an individual client rather than just "the next appointment". Great job, LaVida! Keep up the great work. So, to wrap things up, I would highly recommend LaVida Massage for your next massage or facial. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. You can consider the review written from a constant client or the angry rant from a person who didn't allow LaVida Massage to show what they are all about. I am so happy with my treatments at LaVida Massage. I have had numerous services there and all have been exceptional. Pat (massage therapist) was incredible at helping me during a time when my back was so knotted up, it hurt to walk. After the initial treatment, I was without pain, and after the second, my back was healed enough for me to go snowboarding for a week with no negative repercussions. I am forever in her debt for getting me ready to hit the slopes. I have been shushed in the receptionist area (I realize my inside voice is most people's yelling voice), but I completely understand the need to maintain a calm and relaxing atmosphere for all patrons. Muschi has been FANTASTIC in all the services she has provided me. The Melasma Peel is my favorite and has helped my skin never look better! I had some melasma on my face as well as some scaring from acne, and it has made a huge difference. She has also given me several Botox injections as needed. Her philosophy of meeting my needs and discussing with me the best options to achieve the look I prefer has been so helpful to reach the desired look I want. I also really appreciate that the staff greet me by name and are always positive and courteous. I am a forever patron, and all the friends I know who have tried LaVida love it too! Horrible service! Forget privacy, the front desk staff asks you from across the room what service you're here for with a waiting room full of people. Then come to find out I can't even have the procedure done because the face cream that was suggest by their nurse the week before( she knew I was coming in for a microdermabrasion the next week) can't be used within a months time for you to be able to have the micro... Why didn't they mention this over the phone ? They sure can send you a confirmation email stating that if you cancel without a 24hr notice they'll charge you the full amount of the procedure!! Regarding your reply below- You probably feel that this is a professional response. It just shows the lack of tack and professionalism you and your employees exhibit. Yes I do own and operate a company that offers reputation management services, however your so called quotes are untrue and are only a poor attempt to divert accountability from the poor customer service provided. I have been going to LaVida Massage for the past year and I couldn't be anymore happier with the service. The front desk staff is amazing and welcoming. They are my favorite. Always making me feel at home and are genuinely interested in you as a person. Also, they always get me a glass of water before I enter the room without any hesitation. I would also like to point out that the masseuses are incredible! They make sure you are doing alright by checking up on you and seeing if the pressure is pleasant before moving on. I've had some serious back/shoulder pain, but now I feel relief and stress free from any pain. I recommend coming here for those types of issues. My favorites were Jen and Eduardo. But everyone else does a fantastic job as well, just can't remember their names. I will continue to come here and recommend this to everyone! 5 stars well earned! read more

I rarely go for massages.. not because I don't love them, I just never have time. When I do schedule a massage, I want everything to be perfect. That's just the type of experience I had at LaVida! Receptionist Deirdre was extremely kind and patient with all of my questions and requests. She recommended the perfect combination of deep tissue and hot stone massage and the very professional masseur I had Ryan. Ryan was amazing!! His thoroughly planned whole body massage was obviously due to his long-standing professionalism. Ryan continued to adjust the massage to my preferences throughout the session and really worked out all the knots and pains in my shoulders. His massage pressure and technique are stellar! I got a hot stone massage today from Andrea. I only get massages a few times a year - but I have to say that this was the BEST one I've ever had. I had never had a hot stone massage before, and it was really relaxing! I will definitely go back and definitely use Andrea again! I need to make an appointment for my husband - he would love it! She was very professional, used good pressure, asked questions to make sure that I was comfortable and utilized our 60min well. I am really glad that I took time for ME today and got the massage! I personally have visited a few different spas here in the east valley, but when I walked into La Vida I felt a sense of relief due to the calming nature of the spa's aesthetic. I requested more of some deep tissue work because I've been dealing with back pains and they appointed me to an excellent therapist by the name of Savhannah. She really knew what she was doing and I left out of there feeling so much more loose and light then when I had originally came in. I give both my therapist Savhannah and La Vida 5/5 stars. My doctor had suggested to help with my high blood pressure to have a massage so I followed doctor's orders and I had a 60 minute hot stone massage with Andrea last Thursday! And it was amazing! I had never had the hot stone massage but now it's one of my favorites. It was relaxing and just the right amount of heat. Andrea thoroughly explained how the stones were going to be placed and the benefits of the stones. I have been coming into LaVida for about two years now, and every visit is better than the last. Each therapist is incredibly educated and makes me so relaxed. My wife took the liberty of setting up a couples massage appointment a few weeks ago. I was nervous at first because I have never been into see a massage therapist. The place was very nice and not "girly" like I expected. The massage therapists were really nice and they did a great job. My wife and I do not often get to relax at the same time. I am unsatisfied with La Vida due to the subpar performance of my Botox treatments compared to other establishments, and I have also referred friends who have had similar experiences. I wish to discontinue my membership and not be contacted regarding renewal. I suspect the product is defective, and the company is aware of this issue. I have been going to Lavida for almost five years now and have never had a bad service. Muschi and Dr O'Hara have both been doing my Botox and other facial fillers and they are experts at it. The front desk is friendly, the med spa is absolutely immaculately clean and everyone there is so friendly and knowledgeable about the services and products. I visited LaVida for a hot stone massage and my experience was great. The receptionists were very friendly and made sure my needs were met while waiting. My massage therapist, Alisha, was on time, a huge plus, and made sure to ask any specific areas I needed worked out or any I wanted to avoid. This was my first time at LaVida and it did not disappoint. All of the girls at the front desk are super friendly and gave great recommendations. I got a massage with hot stones added, Alex was amazing! I walked in extremely sore in my shoulders and legs and left feeling so much better.
