The older lady that did my pedicure was awful. She was so rough with my cuticles. She was sooooooo slow! It took forever. When she put my shoe back on she smudged 2 of my toes and had to redo them!! I have been here almost 2 hours for a regular pedicure. I won't be back here again. read more

The salon REEKED of cigarette smoke the second I walked in. You can tell they definitely smoke in the building. It was so strong that I almost walked out, and wish I would've; but the sweet worker was already filling the pedicure basin and I felt bad/ don't do confrontation well lol. The tech took a lot of time on my pedicure, with a lot of attention to detail. She did a really great job and their prices are fair. Unfortunately I just won't be coming back because of the strong smoke smell, which is also why I had to take off 2 stars. read more

I loved the shape of my nails, but i did not like how fast pases they did them. They just do is so quick and pressured with no passion into it. When he painted my nails he didn't even fill them in all the way, just so I can go get a fill immediately!!! They charge extra for Length!!! Afriend of owner and herself were getting pedicure, I immediately felt like I was intruding on a private moment.I sat down for a fill and they continue their conversation..from across the salone, disregarding my presence. I was about 10 min into fill and a customer walked in wanting eyebrows done..she proceeded to leave me sitting and went and did etebrows.I have never had a tech. Let alone an owner pic up her phone and text the whole manicure.I was so upset an hour and a half later I couldn't wait to just get out of the building. read more

I have been going here since 2012 when we moved in around the corner. At the time I was 8 months pregnant with my youngest. He's now 3. They always remember me. Kim always asks me about him and now he's doing. Ownership has changed a few times. Kim has been constant and is amazing. She is very soft spoken and incredibly sweet. She also does a fabulous job. There hasn't been a time I've been disappointed. A few times I've gone other places closer to work in a pinch and just have never been satisfied. I always end up coming back Lavern's. Every tech I've seen has done a good job. Their pedi's are amazing and well priced. They give you a sheet to pick your price pint and it lists all that is included. They keep the shop clean and use disposable liners on the foot baths. Individual wrapped tools are opened and used for each customer. You won't be disappointed. They start to feel like family. read more

Not good!! After literally working nonstop for 2 1/2 months and wanting to treat myself to a much needed pedicure; found this place online with good reviews... WRONG! I was scolded upon greeting due to being 10 mins late. I had even called saying I was lost, but was told only upon arriving that I would have to wait an hour for my services; all the while there were two techs free and only one person in the place with another tech. Even after telling me I had to wait, she further let into me saying she had another client shortly and would only have a couple minutes for my pedi, if she could fit me in at all!! I am not a difficult costumer in the slightest; usually tip very generously and thank whoever assists me multiple times. I have also worked in the service industry 10+ years and this is the first time I have ever poorly reviewed a business online. I cannot afford to treat myself often nor have the time, so when I do and am faced with such crudeness... Well then you know its bad! I am completely appalled by the customer service and honestly, the salon was dirty and with the limited selection of old and separating nail polishes... Well, maybe I should actually thank them for their rudeness... Might have been a blessing in disguise! Will never go here again nor refer it to anyone, quite the opposite in fact!! read more

I have going to Lavern Nails for years . Today I called to my appointment with Kim for a pedi and wax. My appointment was set for 3:45, I arrived promptly but she was running about 15 minutes behind. I was finally called back at 4pm. After my wax Kim started on my pedi. At 5pm another coworker came up to me to relay a message from the manager that next time I call in i n eed to specify what kind of wax because he only put me down for an hour and Kim had another customer waiting. In utter shock I told her that I was also waiting 15 minutes and that as a manger he should have asked what kind of wax I was scheduling so he could have set his appointments accordingly. She then tried to explain that he is a man and cant be asking those types of questions. After the change of ownership Lavern Nails is not the same. Was over charged for a fill and the girl couldn't even shape my nails right the owner had to come over and shape my nails for her, because she got attitude when I told her I needed her to fix the shape of a few nails. I went here based on Google reviews so I found a coupon on Google, and did a walk-in. I know this sounds chauvinistic, but my nail tech was Billy; I thought he did a nice job. Staff is very friendly. Linda the owner is very nice, and she makes efforts to make the shop look aesthetically pretty. It is a clean shop. If you don't bring your own nail polish, they have a nice selection. While you wait to get your nails done, they show the latest movies. All in all I thought they did a good job. My nails looked beautiful with no bleeding or pain involved. I've been coming here every month since May to get my acrylic nails done and filled. I'm extremely happy with them given my past experiences with several places improperly fitting the acrylics and causing fungal infections. Henry is very careful every time, friendly, and pays close attention to the areas affected from previous bad nail jobs. I drive from South Mountain and it's totally worth it - great job, great prices, and clean! The only things I wish they had were actual gel manicures and not just acrylic with gel polish, and online booking. read more

I chose the "Lost in Heaven Pedicure" & it was AMAZING!! ALL ORGANIC scrubs & lotions used! We called over the phone ahead of time & were told to come in about 20 minutes. As soon as we got there, pedicure chairs were starting to fill for the 3 of us. Myself, my 79 year old Grandmother who has Alzheimer's and my Mother. We all 3 sat down next to each other and enjoyed our calming quiet pedicures. We went on Wednesday just a little afternoon. Perfect time for us to take my grandmother, because the salon was nice & quiet. The workers were really nice & had a great sense of humor. I love this nail salon! I've been going here for 16 years! They are always friendly and do a great job! You get more than what you pay for! I went to a different salon during Covid-19 that actually has a better Yelp score, because Lavern's was closed, and the other salon changed me $35 for a "pedicure" that I could have gotten for $22 at Lavern's. My nails were a mess! For my $35 pedicure, all I got was a foot washing! At Lavern's I get everything the other place did PLUS tons of other stuff...like actually removing the dried out and dead skin from my heals. Henry and Vee (The managers/owners maybe) are amazing! They do take longer, but the end result is always great! I knew I had a great nail salon before, but I didn't know just how great until today. read more

Had a terrible experience at this salon. They had me wait close to 2 hours for them to fix ONE broken nail. They continued to take more people who had checked in after me so they could make for money doing full sets when I was SIMPLY needing one nail fixed that had just been done 2 days prior. After finally speaking up about how long I had to wait they saw me and they tell me it will be 5$ to fix one nail! I said I'm not paying anything after I spent 80$ here two days ago, and definitely not after being here for 2 hours. He guy began to argue with me, (barely able to speak English) telling me "do you run a business?" No I don't. But if I did I would make sure my clients got what they paid for! I ended up having to walk out because my blood was boiling. YES, I left with out even getting my nail fixed after waiting 2 hours and spending 80 dollars for a crap job.
