Not only was she not paying any attention to what I had told her but she had her phone planted right next to me on the massage table and her real focus was on chatting with somebody while she used one hand to rub my back and to get closer to my genitals. After a few minutes of this nonsense, I said "if you don't remove that phone this is going to be over." At which point she left the room, then returned to put my money on the table without a word and left again and that was it. I didn't even have an opportunity to leave her with some of my favorite Chinese expressions. But I did leave her a $1 tip which was at least a dollar too much.

After eating, we crossed the street and entered Young Spa. The front desk was empty but there was a price list and we decided on a 60 minute oil massage for $45. A woman eventually came out and sort of just stared at us. I initiated conversation and told her what we'd like, and she just looked really confused. She kept looking back and forth at us, so I pointed to the price sheet. A single man walked in at that moment and asked if a specific female was there. A door in the hallway behind us opened and said woman came out and led the man toward the back. We still had received no response, so I asked if they had time for two one-hour massages. The same confused look was our answer. We sat down in the two chairs in the lobby, unsure what to do - would there be a wait? Would someone else come speak with us? I felt really dirty just being in there all of a sudden. We called a Lyft driver to pick us up and take us home. The man who came in after us left about the time our ride picked us up. Weird - I didn't see 15 minute massage on their list of services.

Additionally, during the check-in process, the front desk never gave me a card or questionnaire to fill out regarding the focus areas for my massage. Since this was both my friend's and my first experience here, I expected better communication and a more thorough process. Instead, the experience left me disappointed and a bit shaken. Another awkward part of the experience was the checkout process. At the end of the session, they wait for you at the front desk expecting a tip. Of course I planned to tip, but the pressure and expectation made the experience uncomfortable. One especially odd part of the Signature Massage was that the masseuse inserted her fingers into both of my ear canals without warning.
