Sorry folks - this deserves the low rating. Ordered an EIGHT DOLLAR medium coffee and was presented with this very SMALL cup, which in the rest of the continental United States is called SMALL. Not ok on this one. Overpriced for sure. Very small size drinks. The egg cheese bacon croissant was cold in the middle when I requested it warm. The espresso torinese was just ok, probably wouldn't come here regularly if it's $15 for a sandwich and basic espresso w milk and cocoa. Service was ok, not super friendly or anything and didn't give me napkins I had to ask where they were and get them myself. For such a nice establishment with really great coffee, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone based off of my recent experience here. With so many other options to get a cup of coffee, I'll take my business elsewhere. I really did enjoy the espresso, but won't be returning to this particular location. I still despise Eataly, don't get me wrong. LaVazza is within the mess of this hellhole, but I've had higher than average experiences-more than a couple of times-at this particular area within. Opening at 8:30a (at least on weekends), the workers I have encountered have been really nice. Their chocolate croissant is currently priced at $3.90 and is fairly decent (little on the smaller side but that is okay) and I've had their cocoa (pre-made) and a vanilla latte. Both were good, but the latte was memorable. Unlike the disaster upstairs (EATALY), they do accept cash if you would prefer to pay with that. I've been fortunate to not have a line so I can't comment on if it moves slow or not, but the baristas are fairly quick as far as I'm concerned. I'm happy to say I don't have any complaints here; my motive is to get in and out as soon as possible. Achieved. read more

I enjoy going to Eataly especially when it first opens before it's gets very busy. I've been here several times, and it's one of those places where each experience can be different. You can just browse, order a coffee to go, or spend hours dining your way through this food hall. I've tried a few things, but there's still more spots to try. I like the espresso at Lavazza. The foccocia is my favorite food item. The cannoli were good but not craveable. I was disappointed in the pasta at La Pizza & La Pasta. The grocery section is great. I love seeing all the pasta shapes. There's a good variety of Italian brands and food. I like the selection of snacks, which include the ones I enjoyed during past trips to Italy. I've been to the New York location and didn't appreciate it as much because I had limited time to see everything. Now that I'm close to this location, it's one of my favorite additions to the Westfield Century City mall. read more

Italian coffee, made the Italian way! We were tempted by the items in the pastry case- which looked amazing- but opted for the Bicerin, $4.20. The Bicerin, according to Coffee Wiki, is a hot coffee drink native to Turin, Italy. It means "small glass." The drink was famously lauded by Alexandre Dumas in 1852. Lavazza claims that their recipe is from 1763 and predates the Dumas mention by 89 years! The amazing concoction is made by layering espresso, "drinking chocolate" and cream together in a small ceramic cup. Probably the most delicious coffee I've ever had and well worth the price. As for ambiance, unfortunately, Lavazza is on the 2nd floor below the 3rd floor Eataly, so you need to go downstairs to find it. There are a few tables and chairs, but not many. I would consider myself a regular here and I always order the same thing, iced caramel latte with oat milk. It's sooo good every single time. It's a great treat after work upstairs. I've been coming here for a while. It's a pretty cool spot given that's it's inside of Eatly but I think they could do so much better. Everytime I order a drink from here it's pretty much lukewarm to cold. Today I ordered a espresso hazelnut creme drink and it was lukewarm to cold. Plus it was raining outside. I also heard another costumer say their drink was pretty cold. I'm not sure if it was because of the hazelnut creme but I like my drinks hot..... they do serve the drinks in cute cups but the espresso is not really worth it. Finally, I was able to experience Eataly, and guess what, I dig it! Located inside the Century City Mall, it's definitely a fun and overwhelming place to come and get your Italian fix on! If it's your first time here, or if you want that peace and quiet of shopping, I recommend coming here around 8:30 a.m. That way, you can experience Eataly peacefully and quietly, before the hustle and bustle of the crowds (usually around 10:30 a.m., especially, on the weekends). Parking: Mall parking, and they don't validate anywhere in Eataly! Besides browsing through Eataly and a couple of other eateries, I was most excited about lunch time. On a Sunday morning, I had met up with my two Yelp Besties, Tora M. and Isobel L., to dine at Chef Michael Cimarusti's Il Pesce Cucina (Also, the Owner and Chef of Providence). This was the first of many baby steps to experience his cooking, before dropping major money at Providence, lol! (I will generate a separate review for that later). Eataly is comprised of two levels - 2nd Floor (Cannoli e Bomboloni, IL Gelato, Italian Cooking Classes you can take, and Café LavAzza) and 3rd Floor (Eataly Market and assorted restaurants, eateries, deli, cafes, winery, produce, etc). You can even get freshly made pastas and raviolis, mozzarella, cured meats, seafood, produce and of course, all kind of cheeses! I'm definitely coming back here for a full-on shopping experience. Love hanging out with my friends, but to fully experience shopping here, I need to peruse and browse slowly alone through each aisle, lol! Furthermore, as mentioned by other Yelpers, yes, the aisles are narrow, and so if you're carrying a basket, shopping bags or pushing a stroller (especially, when it's crowded), it may not be ideal. However, if you have to, just be careful about bumping into other patrons or accidentally knocking over something. Luckily, Tora had already visited here first, and so she gave Isobel and I tips and advice on how to navigate Eataly, especially, the 3rd Floor eateries' seating sections. Each eatery has their own reserved dining section (that's not really roped off or sometimes, not properly noted with signs), and so it can be frustrating and confusing if you accidentally sit in the wrong dining section. Since we didn't eat in there, we didn't have to worry about that. However, should I come back here to dine (especially, for their pizzas), I know what to expect. Overall, I'm glad that Eataly has finally made its way to LA. Whether you dig the hype or not, Eataly LA is here to stay! read more

They're finally available for delivery guys! Take advantage of it. They have combo meals that you get to choose from. It's fairly priced and it won't hurt your budget. I ordered their pizza with sweet sausage. So yummy! I have my olive oil and balsamic vinegar that I bought from their store before COVID. I mixed them up and dipped my pizza crust in there.. tasted like I'm in Eataly. Ofcourse it's not the same but you still get to enjoy their pizza, pasta and desserts from your home. There's a reason Italian coffee is exceptionally delicious. I ordered a latte which had a crisp and smoky aroma due to the dark espresso roast. It was prepared with the right amount of milk and foam. First time here and definitely won't be going back. There were several gnats flying within the food area which I thought was disgusting. Can't they get some sort of enclosed case to avoid that? The service was not good at all. The cashier seemed bothered by having to help someone. Then I sat down at the table and it was filthy! I wasn't even there during a busy time, there was zero excuses why the area was so unkempt. I thought the coffee was average and I'm slightly ashamed to admit this but I had one of their breakfast croissants cause I was so hungry (even after seeing the gnats!) I went in here hungry early on a Sunday because this was the closest. I had the pasqualina ( croissant with spinach, Parmesan and some other soft cheese). The credit card machine wasn't working. We luckily had cash. Who even uses cash in a city anymore ? Very surprising that they hadn't fixed it. The pasqualina wasn't warmed up and when I asked the cashier if he could heat it up, he replied very cockily that they don't believe in microwaves and if I wanted, he could keep it on the espresso machine.
