Gabi is a cat who we read about in small cartoons. She does crazy stuff and makes that class so enjoyable. Mrs. Young is basically the same as Miss Alfaro. She's amazing! Mrs. Min always forgives no matter what. Our class is 30 students, and it is not easy to deal with us. We are very talkative. She keeps her cool and is always so nice to us. Mrs. Blain is great and always doing what needs to be done. Pastor Eric provides great Church messages getting us all closer to God. If you're looking to put your kid in private school and you're close to Brea, I would encourage you to bring your kid here. 5 stars for sure!

As a former Montessori student, this school stays true to the Montessori method of teaching. There are plenty of hands-on learning materials that are age appropriate from 2 years old in preschool to 7 years old in K-1. The kids are able to learn at their own pace and enjoy an environment of collaborative play and learning. Every child of mine who entered preschool had their initial episodes of tears and crying in the first few months. But the teachers at Montessori of Brea are so kind with their loving voices, gentle nudges, and guided redirection to help the children focus on their learning and forget about the separation from parents. Ms. Kim was our preschool teacher for our first 2 daughters and is currently teaching our 3 year old. Our whole family LOVES Ms. Kim! When my two older grade school kids come to pick up our baby, they ALWAYS have to come to give Ms. Kim a hug! She is caring, loving, and has great communication with parents at drop off and/or pick up. There are a total of 4 teachers for the classroom, but I'm amazed at Ms. Kim's organization and memory having to be the primary teacher of 28+ kids and knowing each child's ability. I can barely handle remembering my 3! Ms. Dana was our most recent K-1 teacher and she is just as great! Her lessons helped prepare my daughter for school outside of Montessori. Her open communication and constant use of technology helped prepare us for future apps used in grade school. Ms. Dana was very active in providing updates, even sending pictures to all the class parents of special events and personal messages for individual achievements! With the help of ALL the teachers at Montessori of Brea, our oldest daughter got into GATE (Gifted & Talented Education) and is excelling. Our second daughter is reading three grade levels above her current grade and is thriving at her new school thanks to the teachers and Montessori of Brea. I can only give my highest recommendation for this place! I tell all my neighbors and friends in the area about Montessori of Brea because it has helped our children succeed in and out of the classroom.

After observing different schools in the area and speaking in-depth with the staff, I felt MoB was truly the best place for my brilliant children. Three of my children graduated from MoB, with my youngest being the most recent graduate. They were under the exceptional guidance of Ms. Tess (lead teacher and also a music scholar), Ms. Padmini, Ms. Cindy, Ms. Dana, Mr. Vargas, and Ms. Nayna. We are so grateful for their contribution to our children's development. Every one my kids graduated from MoB with high-level reading and math skills, a love for science, strong musical knowledge, a love and respect for nature and the Earth, as well as high self-confidence and independence. My oldest children, now 12 and 10, are in GATE (Gifted and Talented Education program) in the public school system, and continue to excel. The nurturing and values they teach are to me the most important part. The staff is creative and always changing up the activities and decor. My children are enrolled in a class held at your facility at 5:00 PM. As we often do, we arrived about half an hour early. My six-year-old child, feeling an urgent need to use the restroom, ran directly into the gym where their activities are typically held; I was unable to stop them in time. At that same moment, your staff member, Rod Lanthier, began shouting aggressively at my other child who was nearby. The situation became chaotic: I was forced to protect the child who was being shouted at outside, while Mr. Lanthier actively blocked me from entering the gym to retrieve my other child, preventing me from reaching them in time. This outburst terrified my children. They were so shaken that they immediately begged to leave, and they are now deeply distressed and unwilling to return to this facility because of the hostility and frightening behavior they experienced. It is entirely standard and reasonable for students and parents to arrive early for classes. If your organization lacks the kindness and patience to interact with children, your staff is clearly unfit for this environment. Please be advised that this matter is being taken very seriously. My children are deeply traumatized, and I will be seeking psychological support for them due to this incident. What's so great about it? - The learning experience is unmatched: the teacher to student ratio is outstanding. It allows the children to learn faster, and more, a lot more! - The teachers and staff are excellent. But the big differentiator with other schools where that may be true too (perhaps not to the same extent though): everyone on staff cares! There is a great degree of accountability. - Safe! Courtesy of the Assistant Principal (Mr Rod) who is a retired Firefighter, everything is up to code and very well thought out. - Great facilities: this is a great little campus with a safe and ample parking lot for drop-off/pick-up and events, the classrooms are very nice, it's a safe building, and they have a great gymnasium for sports and weather days! - Super well organized. This school is a very well-oiled machine. We have two children in different classes this year. Not one hick-up, everything was extremely well communicated, and we even get a small paper reminder ahead of events or key items to remember. Only for French-speaking families? No! Think of this school as a top-tier school that will prepare students exceptionally well to continue in the public American system. It is designed for this (maths are in English etc.). The awesome benefit is that the children have a second language in their portfolio. So, do you need to already speak French to attend? No, unless entering at 3rd grade. You can have your children enter up to 2nd grade with no prior French experience. Should you tour this school? ABSOLUTELY! They are not pushy at all so there is really no strings attached. Ask to see the yearbook if they have one handy. You'll see how much effort they put into this school by just looking at it. It's amazing, and, included in your tuitions (and so are lunches on every single Friday of the year... as a parent, that's much appreciated!) Small school, great results.

We are part of the unique Orangethorpe Multiage Program on campus, and my kids have thrived! When I found the Orangethorpe Multiage Program I was overwhelmed with relief and gratitude. The Multiage's individualized curriculum has let my kids work grade levels ahead even since Kindergarten. They come to me after school so excited about a "hard" math problem they solved or that they used a new "juicy" word in their writing. Their learning has never had to slow down. Their curious minds are always fed with hands-on learning and monthly field trips. One of my kids has always wanted to be an engineer and he got to develop all those skills with an amazing roller coaster project. He learned to cooperate with his team, trouble shoot and struggle through failures, and help other kids with their projects too. At the end, we had a field trip to Knott's Berry Farm and we stayed from opening to close because we have so much fun with the other Multiage families. Another kid is a talented artist and loves that art is always in the classroom, but most especially when they get to draw nature from the class garden and on field trips to the Arboretum. The classroom itself is beautiful and inspiring. It is covered with artwork, writing, and giant math problems that kids work on over days. The primary class is huge and filled with a library of books, all of which any child of any grade can read. It is always warm and friendly with smiling kids and parents. The teachers know exactly what my kids need academically and support them emotionally with understanding, patience, and kind words. So grateful to have found the Orangethorpe Multiage Program!

The 6th grade teacher Cardenas yells at her students then demands a apology. She as well never lets parents know of any incidents because she knows she is in the wrong. This is a horrible school mainly because of the staff but also because of the cleanliness the bathrooms are in horrible condition as well as denying feminine trash bins which leaves female students in a awkward position having to throw away pads/tampons in the main trash bins. Office ladies as well talk bad about students in Spanish in the office because the principals aren't bilingual which is extremely unprofessional. This school favoritism is out of hand which is unfair to students.
