In one session she reduced my brain fog 75-80% when no other doctor or medicine could! Being on her table feels like being held in a safe, compassionate space where my nervous system regulates and my breath returns. She works with the whole body, intuitively knowing how each part is interconnected, affecting one another. Dr. Rochette is one of many practitioners I have seen for this challenging illness, and I choose to continue to see her over others because of her ability to continue to support my body as my needs shift and change. Her knowledge, expertise and understanding of the body feels like magic - but I know magic is only part of it - she is truly well trained and continuously learning how she can better support her clients. Two different people recommended her to me - one friend who had a crushed pelvis and another with whip lash. Both women sang her praises, as I am today. I am truly grateful for her and each of our sessions. Thank you so much for helping me heal Dr. Rochette!

I brought an MRI study for documentation. She gave me a very nice back massage. She did not touch affected shoulder area. She did not even glance at the MRI. She gave me (what sounded like) a very dismissive, standard palliative on breathing (to open my shoulder area) and sent me on my way to the receptionist who billed me $375. No manipulation. No evaluation or diagnosis. No directives or advice for exercises or stretching. My take was she did not want to take my case (probably because she had no idea how to approach it). Weeks later there is no change to my chronic pain despite my extra breathing. From my experience, it is the receptionist who seems to know the most about osteopathic practices in that office. In the past I have had good experience with osteopathic practitioners. Dr. Rochette does not belong in that league.

I met her over 12 years ago and found her again when I moved back to the bay; she has helped facilitate major healing and transformation in my life, on all fronts. Dr. Brown's attitude is clear, straight, and unemotional in a good way. I had two sessions before yesterday and prior to yesterday left wondering what if anything was accomplished. Yesterday after a 45 minute session, I was absolutely astounded at my body's response to her treatment. She replied that in a way she didn't do anything except listen to my body, and assist in it's own healing of itself. I left in a wondrous state of consciousness: one of clarity and openness with my body literally breathing itself. I could feel my breath and for lack of a better word, my life force or chi running from my feet to my head as if traveling through an empty bamboo flute. My neck and back hurt as always but somehow I sensed that the "life force" was now accessible to those areas that had been blocked. I could easily go on and on here for the experience was totally different from my mind's "evaluation" of her treatment. What I can say is that I have found a true healer in Dr. Brown - a person that intuitively senses the body, respects it's current state, and somehow encourages it to let go of holding and withdrawal and then allow it's own innate wisdom to heal itself. Dr. Brown is the midwife holding the space and encouraging all to happen in it's own time with it's own wisdom. What a difference from standard allopathic medicine where it is the practioner that thinks they know what is best rather than myself. I encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful healer - and stick with her as if you are at all like me, it takes a few visits to realize that real healing is actually happening. Ten Stars!

Which, I am gathering, is what osteopathy is about. Listening to the body and helping guide it to heal as a whole. She'll say things like I would like to not see you on antibiotics again or take Tylenol/IB for fever but when you're in the middle of illness and she's not available like a PCP to have conversations about appropriate measures of care, what's one supposed to really do? I end up calling my PCP and the advice is different and the illness and pain/fever need to be addressed, and quite frankly relieved. The care is mostly wholistic but it's not complete so I feel unsatisfied at times. My chief complaint is that she tends to run behind schedule. Since I pay her up front and submit a bill to my insurance I expect more timeliness. And I have noticed that she has started booking appointments every 15 min online. As a reference point my family and I see other physicians where we pay up front and submit super bills on our own, and these other doctors almost always run on time. It's the courtesy of paying the whole fee upfront.

When I came to her I had just finished up with several bouts of pancreatitis - very painful. Three doctors before her had left medical practice during a period of intense change for physicians. I asked her to promise me she would not leave; a rediculous thing to ask but just to say how scared and desperate I felt. I am now older and need more specialists, but she has been with me to help build that team. She is incredibly smart and has diagnosed a number of my situations just by listening to my descriptions (and then getting confirmation). She is kind... so kind. And she tells the truth. I am not afraid of dying, but I really don't like loss of control. Which means having a doctor who is honest with me and treats me like a partner in addressing my medical concerns. I hope Nina will remain my doctor for the rest of my lifetime...

I feel so fortunate to have found a truly caring and genuinely compassionate care provider, I can't recommend him enough. Called and the receptionist gave me the info, said Dr. Kaplan "was a very busy man" but would schedule an appointment and come to our house! And the cost would be billed to our insurance with a "follow up/Booster" visit included. All went as promised. Dr. Kaplan came to our house, did his hypnosis, and it didn't change anything. My OB recommended that I call him for a follow-up. Calling the number he gave me, I got another gentleman on the phone who said Dr. Kaplan was unavailable, but would give him my message. Another two phone calls later, Dr. Kaplan was MIA!!!!! I still had to go through other channels to manage the sickness. He never called back, never followed up or expressed concern for my health as a patient of his. But get this....10 months after that, I get a phone call from out of the blue from his receptionist, saying that my insurance company had mailed me a check, and we had an outstanding balance with them.....huh? As I was out of town, I eventually rang and left a message for her, saying that was impossible. Our insurance would NEVER do that. I gave her my information again. I also brought up that Dr. Kaplan never offered to get in touch with me for a follow-up that was inclusive of his services. Then the story changed. I get another phone call saying that now, supposedly, my insurance company denied the claim (10 months ago), supposedly sent me a statment saying that (10 months ago) and she apologized for her mis information. She also said that I should take up the complaint about Dr. Kaplan not calling me back with (wait for it....) Dr. Kaplan. I should call him and leave a message asking him to call me back about why he never called me back. Genius, eh? Poor accountability to patients, no interest in their well-being, poorly managed accounts and I'm wondering, if she ever even attempted to get in touch with my insurance company in the first place. As for Dr. Kaplan, I hope he can do self-hypnonsis to find out what he did with my phone messages. Very expensive snake-oil salesman.....
