Although he correctly diagnosed my problem and my need for physical therapy, he declined to refer me to a physical therapist office. Fortunately, my health plan has a good physical therapist office available for referral and Dr. Stuffman did provide a general order for the therapy. The therapist was very competent and requested that I obtain an ultrasound exam from Dr. Stuffman for aid in understanding my injury and providing the right physical therapy. This required another visit to Dr. Stuffman. For the purpose of thoroughness in making his diagno-sis, I think Dr. Stuffman should have performed the ultrasound (a 15 minute exam) in my initial visit with him. Dr. Stuffman also provided no prognosis for my injury, albeit the physical therapist recommended that I no longer do my upper body workouts with 5 lbs. weights or more for fear of aggravating the torn rotator cuff. On the plus side for Dr. Stuffman, he provided a online video for doing physical therapy and this video mentioned "easy" may be better in doing physical therapy weight lifting. This advise was very helpful because I tend to do too much sometimes

At my baseline, I was running about 60 miles a week and playing soccer twice weekly. By the time I sought help, I was down to ~20 miles a week and had completely stopped playing soccer. Ankle has become 100% painless and functional. Currently working on knee, preparing for a half marathon in 2 weeks. Chris pays attention and listens to his patients. He then customizes exercises to help with the healing process. He pushes me just hard enough to get beneficial results without adding to the existing pain. I am miraculously ready for my half marathon thanks to Chris! I made it a point to ask for Chris after my ankle was healed but then knee started acting up. Chris is and will be my go to Physical Therapist. I am also very used to checking in with an iPad sort of situation so I am not at the very least bothered by checking in with a friendly person on a computer screen. Receptionist lady is always busy making calls to help schedule patients so I completely understand the need. She also gladly checked me in one time when the computer screen was not working. At the main clinic, I had no issue getting appointments for MRI and with Dr Talarico and Dr Sagoo, all within 48 hours. My GP Dr Lawrence told me to throw his name around.
