On top of that, my cat must have been upset she wasn't invited, because a couple days after we returned home, she had a seemingly intentional accident in very close proximity to the dress. Although the dress was in a bag at the time, both the dress and the veil ended up with a slight odor to them. After that, I decided it was time to look into cleaning options. I had already been to Five Star in the past, so I used the Yelp project feature to reach out to them as well as a few other cleaners in the Sacramento area. They were very responsive and their pricing to clean and preserve the dress was very reasonable, so I decided to go with them. The turnaround time for cleaning was about a week, which is exactly what they estimated. They showed me the dress before it was boxed so I could confirm it was properly cleaned. There were no more mud stains, and the odor was completely gone! After I inspected the dress, they asked me to come back in a day or two after they had time to box it. It was wedding and prom season, so they were a little busy, and I told them I was in no rush to get the dress back. I went back a few days later and picked up a large box. There was an outer, regular, storage box and inside was a large preservation box that had a display window. It looked great! Oh, and to top it all off, I had originally only inquired about cleaning and boxing for the dress, but when I asked how much it would be to add the veil, they included it for free! Thank you!!

I followed those instructions, but unfortunately, it doesn't appear to have made a difference. It's really sad and frustrating to feel like you can't depend on your neighborhood cleaners to properly clean your clothes. I understand that mistakes can happen, but the results were not what I expected, especially after following the instructions I was given. HELLO, YOU PRE PAID 4x the amount it would have taken you to dry! It costs me on average 20$ less to wash here. Wash loads $1.25 here!!!!!!! These dryers also have cooler settings if you want cooler settings but unlike other laundromats they don't have the heat dialed down so much that it takes you 50 quarters to dry your stuff. They are open 24 hours, have a nice local security guy there at night. Some of the other comments on here and totally unbelievable I've been coming here a few times now. You might get a homeless guy for a walk in but they usually don't do anything they just leave or they want to bum a cigarette or a quarter. This is not unique to Prestige but can't figure out why this is so hard for cleaners to understand...if you take something out of my shirt, please put it back. And if you can't put it back, can you at least give me the collar stays so I can put them in myself?! Also--in one isolated incident--they charged me extra to try and get the wrinkles out of a seersucker shirt. I would have expected that a company that specializes in fabrics and fabric item care would know that seersucker fabric is BY DESIGN puckered and rough...but no amount of ironing is going to remove it!
