We found Cecile through the recommendation of friend and consulted with her on the redesign of our kitchen. We had a bit of a time constraint, and didn't want to go overboard on a "dream kitchen" that we'd have to just sell! In addition to her fabulous sense of design, one of Cecile's best qualities is her ability to really LISTEN and translate needs into a workable and fabulous design. With a simple tweak to the existing floor plan, she changed it from a closed off situation, to a beautiful, open kitchen connecting to the rest of the house! Her design removed a wall which opened up the kitchen to the dining room and made room for a half bathroom! It's something I would NEVER have thought of and it worked beautifully! She somehow made the old and the new come together and look natural, plus she picked colors for the walls that gave it that "designer" look! Our house got four great offers after the first open house and we couldn't be happier! She's wonderful and talented and great to work with. Can't recommend her enough! :o)

I had never done a house renovation before with a general contractor, and Megan helped me every step of the way. I gave her a very specific and short timeline that I needed the work to be done by. She went with me to multiple appointments, had frequent video chats with me and insured that we had the quality of products picked out within the appropriate amount of time to order them and get the work done. She drew out plans for me, got exact measurements, so we were never delayed in a part in our project. Multiple vendors commented on how easy it was to work with her blueprints. Throughout the project I would feel comfortable raising concerns to Megan and on multiple occasions, she spoke up on my behalf and advocated for me when I didn't feel comfortable speaking up myself. She did a great job of ensuring my initial vision was pulled through, even when we ran into redirection. She consulted with me on which products to splurge on versus what things could save me money. She helped bridge the communication between working with a contractor and someone who had never done something like this before. I highly recommend Megan not only for her style and her organization, but also for her professionalism and her advocacy. We will definitely be working with her on all our big projects to come!!

Megan jumped right into our project and designed an entirely new bathroom for us, including new floor layout, new materials, hardware etc. She made it a seamless and fun process. Even with us living in GA and her in California, she never missed a beat. We love Megan so much... we hired her to do more!

Working with Catrina at LOCZI Design was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. She helped us…read moredesign and select pieces for my bar, showroom, and home, and everything turned out beautifully. Her eye for color, tile layout, and overall design flow is truly impressive. What really sets Catrina apart is how easy and enjoyable she is to work with. She's friendly, professional, and takes the time to walk you through the process so nothing ever feels overwhelming. If you're looking for a designer who combines creativity, expertise, and a personal touch, I highly recommend LOCZI Design!

The short and sweet of it all: First, you're going to love…read moreyour "new" home! Second, Loczi will know what you want, maybe even better than you do. Third, you're going to have lots of fun, and you'll be sad when Loczi leaves. Fourth, your contractor and subcontractors will make you happy, or Loczi will help you find ones that will. Fifth, Loczi provides value well beyond traditional interior design. Sixth, when they are done your biggest challenge will be deciding which room is your favorite. We kid you not! Some details: Loczi performed a substantial interior design project for us. We knew we needed a good design team, but we'd never worked with one before. We had many trepidations as we evaluated a wide range of designers and their websites. We started our Loczi interaction with a long discussion with Mike. He listened intently to our perspectives and needs. In our first example of Loczi's great intuition, Mike proposed a business approach that fit us perfectly. Subsequently, Mike and Diana went through each room with us and discussed our thoughts on the scope of work. We were impressed not only their creativity but also by their careful note taking. We signed a contract right away. Ironically as it would turn out, Mike proposed one idea that I really didn't like. But the more I thought about his idea, the more I realized it really fit our needs. In our "new house" designed by Loczi, almost every room feels like our favorite room, but Mike's idea made our dining room not only my most favorite, but also our most effective use of space. Diana is an amazing designer. Mike, Catrina and Paige were behind the scenes reviewing the project and helping her whenever she needed them. Its one example of how Loczi's business processes are as advanced as their designs. They have a continuous improvement and customer satisfaction mindset that is refreshing in today's high stress world. If there's a problem, they get it fixed quickly. Loczi's designs are exemplary. When they tell you they can do some amazing things with paint, believe it. They have a "secret" technique for revealing a client's color preferences (sry I won't tell). We love how our interior and exterior are painted! They even came up with a perspective design in our stairwell that transformed our open plan stairwell into a special space. Collaborating with Loczi is easy, fun, and effective. They'll make Pinterest easy for you. Their mood boards are beautiful and they provide great choices. Our interactions with Diana were everything we hoped. Diana can whip out an elevation or drawing so you can visualize the design. If something didn't feel right or didn't fit our budget, alternatives came quickly and addressed our concerns. And if we ever wanted to understand the "why" of the design, Diana explained it so we understood and would be confident in our choice. One particular challenge we had was our primary bathroom. Originally built in 1985 and partially remodeled in 2009 without a designer, it was a mishmash of materials that didn't fit together very well. However, we didn't want to incur the expense of redoing the stone shower and separate tile bathtub. Loczi went to work and made the disparate materials look like they were intentional and the room was converted from a disappointment to fun loving space! And, Loczi can do much more. Diana designed a crucial piece of furniture for us that is beautiful and comfortable. When we couldn't find a rug to fit a special design need, Diana also designed the rug that did. Diana even prepared a guide for us so that if we needed to do something ourselves, we would know what colors and textures would work best in each room. We've used it for house plants and pots, pillows and throws, accessories, etc. Loczi knows some great subcontractors. Their custom window covering contractor was excellent. We not only have beautiful window coverings in our bedroom, but we no longer have light leaking in and waking us up. Specialty services like hanging art, reupholstering furniture, and window films become fun projects instead of time-consuming diversions. Their window film expert convinced us not to use his window film but instead use a sheer window covering provided by another contractor. And if you find your own subcontractor, don't be surprised to find out that they know who Loczi is and that they want to make both you and Loczi happy. Your general contractor also will see the value to their business in making Loczi happy. We had a painter who wasn't performing. Loczi found us another painter who performed better and cost less, and also smoothed the way with the general contractor. A remodel can be a tough project to undertake. When you use Loczi, you know you have a team of people that always has your back and your best interests in mind.

The updates have had a huge, positive impact on our family .. the greatly improved functionality and aesthetics. Truly profound. Specific comments for 1) Kitchen: We initially wanted to reface our cabinets to save money but ultimately went custom. Alice patiently walked us through the pros and cons to help us reach the best decision. Alice did a great job handling all the details with the custom cabinet maker to make sure everything was to spec and quickly address any concerns I had . For the overall design, we gave Alice some inspirational photos and our preferences, and it was a great collaboration to reach the end design. Alice brought up ideas, suggestions and selections I never would have considered or found on my own. Just to name a few items, the island color, the pendant lights, the hardware , and counter stools. It all ties together so well. All of her suggestions collectively took our kitchen to the next level . Key outputs during the design phase were her CAD drawings and a 3D render of the entire kitchen. The CAD drawings had all the essential details for all the trades (cabinet maker, cabinet installer , countertop vendor, appliance vendor , electrician, plumber). The 3D render was a photo realistic view of what our kitchen would look like, showcased all the ideas we agreed on and really gave us the confidence to move forward . I found myself looking at it every day! 2) Living room: Based on our living room size, Alice guided us to get to an optimally sized sofa + chaise, ottoman, and rug . We love her fireplace design. Simple and elegant. We used a mood board here and it was the right balance between cost and giving us the confidence in the design to move forward. 3) Stairs: Alice helped us with the newel post design and made a great call specifying no shoe on the square shaped balusters. The stair contractor we hired initially tried to talk us out of it and use shoes (easier to install) but Alice stuck to her guns . It all worked out as the stair contractor used a hollow mortise chisel (nominal $ increase to install the balusters) and our stairs came out perfect and the look is so much cleaner without the shoes. 4) Powder room: Alice took us out of comfort zone here by suggesting wallpaper . Based on different designs, we agreed to do wallpaper as an accent wall. This is definitely something I would have never considered but glad we are going this route to give some character to our guest bathroom . We feel so fortunate that Alice helped us with achieving our vision. Not only does Alice have amazing talent as a designer but she is also a wonderful human being that will always put your best interests first.

Rosi has become a dear friend and we thank her for helping us create a home we absolutely love!…read more Rosi worked with us over a few months this summer and fall to renovate a 4BR home we purchased in the peninsula. We had some idea what we wanted to do, but no way to execute and ensure we wouldn't make costly mistakes or bad choices. That's where Rosi came in. Her vast experience, vendor relationships, design expertise and creative eye helped us figure out how exactly to plan and design each space. She helped us redo our kitchen to maximize space and impact. She kept on top of all the details- where the island should go, what configuration of cabinets would work with our needs, what kind of slab and how much we would need. She connected me with the right vendors to price out sinks and lighting. She also designed all of our bathrooms with distinctive personalities, choosing delightful tile choices, functional and unique vanities and hardware. For our master bath, she provided designs and helped us totally reimagine the space including the shower. When it came time to pick furniture, she was instrumental in pulling together a cohesive look and helping me find pieces that work for our space and our needs. She did all this for us during the pandemic! Collaborating with her virtually was easy. She is responsive and cares as deeply about our project as we do. She is also just a really wonderful person, with a sweet family and business she runs herself. I whole heartedly recommend Rosi!

I was pleased to see that her ability to deliver on a budget carried over, but I was even more impressed after working directly with her on our project. Rosi worked hand-in-hand with my wife to design our nursery, upgrade my office, update our master bedroom and generally add accents and art to our whole home. The results were great and we are very happy, but Rosi was very professional and always conscious of our budget when making recommendations. Here are the highlights of working with Rosi: 1. Budget. As mentioned above, Rosi finds solutions that are creative and economical and doesn't try to push high priced items on her clients. Rosi's design fees are very reasonable and competitive. 2. Organization. Rosi is very professional and created a spreadsheet at the beginning of our project so that we could track costs and delivery items (including tracking info) for all the items she purchased for our home. 3. Communication. Rosi listens to her clients and allows their personal style to come through while also making helpful suggestions. She's very responsive and always available to answer questions. 4. Fun. My wife very much appreciated Rosi and she made the process fun instead of stressful. I would highly recommend to Rosi to anyone in the future!
