The Laugh Factory in Long Beach is a nice venue in a great spot in Downtown Long Beach. Generally affordable admission price. There's also a two drink min, but doesn't have to be alcohol. Service is pretty good and there's no bad spot in the house. Great for a date night or special celebration. Tickets are super easy to order online. Comic lineups can be mixed - expect a mix of talent unless you're there for a big household name. Being a New Yorker I know most famous comedians hone their craft at local comedy clubs so I don't mind a dud or two in the lineup if the remaining comics are good. So many great food options nearby on Pine Ave, the Pike and Shoreline Village. Super walkable. Hyatt Regency across the street if you want to make it a weekend or Staycation getaway. Movie theatres nearby too, as well as the Aquarium and whale watching boat tours. It's one more venue in a lineup of activities in Downtown LB to explore for special occasions and overall fun. A group of us took our girlfriend to the LF for her Birthday on a Saturday night and had a great time. Lots of laughs. I been meaning to come here for ages in fact since it opened but never did and I always wondered if it was good or not or if it had good comics come through A friend of mine wanted to do a stand up show and I hadn't been in ages to one so I was like ok I'm down and I'm double down since it's this location I never been So we went thanksgiving Eve to see a Mario Lopez's produced show with Latin comics As you enter it's cool vibe and feels like a great place but I'll admit once you enter the actual club you quickly notice their seating is pretty bad Like I didn't like the church pew setup and lack of real tables or places to put your drink especially if you don't get a seat inside the church pews so I wasn't too excited about that and since you are required to drink two drinks you may find yourself putting drinks on the floor and it's messy Luckily my friend saw a table against the wall and got up and took it and brought it over to our single seats which by the way are the kind you see at house parties and I'm a big guy so I was worried I'd break that thing lol The beers were room temp and not cold Thankfully Mario Lopez's and his crew provided cold tequila shots but yeah room temp beer is not ideal This why I'm giving it the 3 as overall it could have been better on that front but maybe it was just that show? Ordered sodas, nachos and cheeseburger, and the service was very professional, and although the cheeseburger was significantly delayed, it was fresh and much larger than expected. Came for laughs and had a great time and had some good food. Food options available highly recommend the nachos. The overall ambience felt very much like a theater with so much history and so many comedians who had performed there before. read more

Went to the Laugh Factory in Long Beach last night to see a well-known comedian, Luenell, and the show itself was great! They do a solid job of bringing quality acts to the area, and it's an overall fun venue with good sound and plenty of parking nearby. You can even order food inside & although I didn't try it this time, it smelled amazing. That said, the service could really use some improvement. The line outside was long (understandable for a popular show), but once inside, there just weren't enough bartenders for the crowd. Despite the two-drink minimum, a lot of people weren't approached for orders (including me), and I noticed a few mix-ups from the bar. It's a great spot for comedy and easy to make a night of it with all the nearby restaurants, but I'd love to see them tighten up the service to match the quality of the shows. read more

I went on a Friday, and honestly I didn't know any of the comedians. Most of them were pretty rough and I'm usually easy to make laugh. The one exception was this older guy who had me dying from start to finish. Overall, the place feels very hit-or-miss. We had an old fashion in a shot glass.. now don't get me wrong but there was hardly anything there! 4 old fashions later..and it was $80? How ? They also only had chips and guacamole as an appetizer. I went to see the luenell's comedy show. The waitresses started with making us purchase 2 drinks at once then The waitress Monica had the worst energy to Be a server, she had the audacity to ask for a tip before she even served she brought my water down drinks I gave her a tip in which she did not deserve, and she didn't even say thank you for the free money I gave her. She then never returned to see if I needed anything else, when I went to find the bar to get my own drink they said the server assigned to your area would have to to get your drinks, as I was speaking to the MOD, the server Monica approached with a very sassy attitude and said " I TOLD YOU I WILL GET BACK TO YOU WHEN I CAN, I VERY BUSY", I just think that attitude was what caused me to feel some type of way, because the other servers were very nice, and apologetic about the service. I do want to commend the MOD because she tried to rectify the situation. read more

The comedy slam was wonderful and the comedians were all on point, my favorite being Lowell Sanders for the night, but I must say as a fellow bartender, the drinks...ahhh... I feel they need to add bitters to the strawberry gin drink drink for flavor. The syrup they used in the strawberry gin and the peach Sour were just so synthetic tasting. Even Rosie's Syrup would have been a better choice than what they chose. Maybe switch the strawberry gin drink to a dirty gin Shirley temple with Rosie's grenadine? That would have a better taste palate. The dark and stormy was decent but I thought it could be much better. Maybe use fever tree ginger beer? It all tasted like Kirkland in the soda water and ginger beer department. For the price to get in at $45 and to have a two drink minimum costing more than $50, the drinks should taste good, they don't have to be outstanding, but not cringy at every sip. I felt like I was back at my college dorm having a party drinking that mix. It was just not the right flavors. I don't blame the bartenders, the presentation of the drinks looked fantastic, it was the ingredients. I'll definitely be back for the comedy. There was the usual comedian photos on the walls and some wax figures here and there that kinda look like whoever they were supposed to be. Me and my husband attended this venue lastnight for Tiffany Haddish! She and her guests were funny enjoyed the show. My disappointment was the payment for my seats for vip was not worth it. Why stand in a line separate from GA and still get the same seats ugh! The server was rude.. drinks were good though.. the steps leading to the pathway to the bathroom were too wide,long not enough lighting I tripped x2 hurt my knee.. I am ok but sore. Went on a Saturday night to watch Tony Rock film his comedy special. Parking is a bit confusing. There are several options. We opted to park in the lot across the street for $20 for the day. They said in confirmation email to arrive a half an hour early for priority seating. Showtime was at 10 o'clock. We arrived around 930 and we waited in line until around 1030 before being let in. Since they were filming the special we had to lock up phones, so no photos of inside the club. I was able to capture a few photos of the lobby before going in. The club has a two drink minimum. As a result of filming you had to order your drinks upfront get them and hold onto them which led to watered down drinks and no place to put them. Some people stated that they were not able to get drinks. the Overall it was a great show, and I will come back for a different experience with a different comic to see how the club usually operates read more

The service is terrible. It took 40 minutes to get checked in and seated for a 7pm show that didn't start until 7:45. Then it took another 30 mins to get our required two drink minimum, which was handed to us all at once with no where to set it down no tables. Overbooked and sat us in some cheap plastic folding chairs that you would rent for a birthday party, behind a wall where we could barely see the stage. Servers were rude and only 3 or 4 of them for the entire place. Fortunately the comedians were good which took our mind off the horrible experience. This place used to be a classy and enjoyable experience and now it's just a money driven mess. I won't be returning and don't recommend to anyone. read more

Me and my group were seated in the last pew in the middle of the room before the aisle and were never served or asked for our order the entire time. We were seated at about 7 pm and we watched waiters serve everyone around us except us. We kept waiting until 8:45 I got fed up and asked someone walking by why we were never served. He got someone and a lady came and offered us a walk up bar as they did not know where our waiter was?????. Excuse me, after waiting so long, It was totally disrespectful to not give us the same service as everyone else. Saw Tiffany Haddish with Bill Dawes and flame Monroe. I don't think my wife and I have ever laughed harder at a comedy show. And we do 3 to 4 cruises a year so we've seen a whole bunch of them. I had purchased a VIP ticket back in 2020 when everything shut down, I found that ticket about a year ago and reached out to the laugh factory to see if I could still use the ticket. So disappointing. We paid for priority tickets. We're told to sit anywhere we wanted and then after we were seated and ordering drinks and other people came we were asked to move, this was at least 8 mins after we sat. The comics get an easy 5 stars! They were all awesome last night. The atmosphere is great and seats are comfortable. Yelp has a check in offer if you have a profile for a free ticket. My friend and I planned on using that but when I got to the door, I was informed you are required to call ahead and tell them you are going to use that check in offer. They did not allow me to use it so I had to step off to the side with about 6 other people to quickly set up a profile online and pay for tickets. There's no box office here that sells them. That whole process seemed a little weird to me. The food options they have are salsa, guacamole and artichoke dip. The artichoke dip was our absolute favorite, I would skip the salsa next time. Guac was okay. The lady working the front door last night (August 18th at 10pm) was extremely rude to other people and to me. She needs basic customer interaction training before working in that position. The way she was speaking to people was so cringy. read more
