After multiple instances of my clothes being ruined, it's time to write a review. The owners are…read morekind without a doubt, however, after picking up clothes yet again and not being able to wear them again, it is frustrating, especially when you consider the cost that you paid for it. The most recent pick up, my shirt shrank considerably. I've had other instances where stains (almost bleach like) on 2 pick ups that ruined the clothes. Another instance I was charged around $60+ for a coat that had stains they said they'd removed, they were unable to remove them. Given the multiple mishaps, I will look for another place to have my clothes dry cleaned. At this point it became unacceptable.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! (Broken item, tried to upcharge from original price for service, tried to…read morecharge for repair) Star Cleaners broke a button on my coat. I went back in once I realized this, the coat still having the dry cleaning tag on it with my info/order and their company hanger, and the lady said it was going to cost me money to have it repaired. She referenced company policy, so I asked where company policy was stated or displayed regarding this matter and she said "it is common sense." She then stated she "could not trust" me because I did not have history with them. Furthermore, when I first picked up this coat along with the two other sweaters, she tried to up charge me from the initially agreed upon cost to have the three items laundered. She then reverted back to the originally agreed upon price and apologized stating there was a confusion. The sweaters were returned stretched and loose fitting and the button on my coat was broken. Absolutely terrible business practice on multiple different levels. HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Saber Cleaners & Alterations. Lastly, this is the first Yelp review I have ever made so it should go to show that I took the time out of my day to hopefully WARN anyone of what to expect. Saber cleaners is my new go-to and they are fantastic, the guy has been in the business over 25 years.

Outstanding! I called around as last minute thing (really last minute) to have my comforter dry…read morecleaned before I headed out of town as I was having someone stay at the house and didn't want them to suffer under my dog hair covered comforter but this thing was not fitting in my washer at all. Every place I called was not able to accommodate me and I can't blame them as I waited until the weekend before I was leaving basically I needed my comforter cleaned same day. On a Saturday :/ finally I got ahold of the nicest lady at American dry cleaners and she let me know she wasn't sure if they could have it done that fast as they usually take about 3-4 days on household items especially king size comforters but that she would check with the staff. She came back and let me know that they would be happy to get it done for me and the icing on top for me was that they even ended up having a better price! This place has been open in Charlotte since 1921 and for good reason! Great customer service amazing work too my comforter looked brand spankin new! They have a small parking lot out front and are open all week and Saturday's closed Sunday's and they have some coupons available here on yelp! Def check them out!

When she asked about the other item, they admitted there was a problem. One of their newer employees used the "wrong chemical" and it ate holes in the sweater. If they simply admitted their mistake initially, I could forgive them. But just handing me my other items and hoping I wouldn't notice was not cool!

Maybe there's a new owner or something, but my wife and I have been VERY happy with the service we've received here over SEVERAL visits. Found this place after several cleaners said they didn't think they could get a stain out of my wife's new blouse. I took it to the lady at Park Town Cleaners, and she just laughed and seemed super confident about cleaning it - and she was totally right! Looked like it had never happened! Park Town is pretty out of the way for us, but I've never had a dry cleaner that was so CONSISTENTLY good with my clothes, and my wife's. Well worth the extra mileage. Easily 5-stars, and you can't find nicer staff!

So when I visit, I try to get in and out. All of the cleaning is done on-site and usually within 2 days. They charge $2.49 per item (used to be $1.99). I have stopped taking jeans here, as they kept shrinking them. I take slacks, button ups and blouses only. If I'm in need of quick, cheap cleaning, I'll come here. Otherwise, I'll continue going to the cleaners in Ballantyne.

They promised to call me when it showed up and never did. The next problem was two weeks ago, they lost a sky blue Brooks Brothers dress shirt and replaced it with a Nordstrom brand. When I went back, they eventually gave me a dark blue Brooks Brothers shirt. When I inquired, they yelled at me and eventually fired me as a client. On top of that, they don't do same day cleaning anymore. This is a low barrier to entry commodity business so you need to differentiate on service or go away. Hopefully they will go away and be replaced with a better provider. For now, I'm going elsewhere and suggest you do the same.
