PNW shrimp roll
Tara H.

Came here for lunch and was able to sit outside with our dog. The server here was very friendly and checked up on us frequently. For food, we started off with their smashed fried potatoes. This was very good and I liked the smoky aioli it came with. My husband ordered the PNW shrimp roll and it came with a side salad. This was very good and came with good chunks of shrimp. I ordered the chicken pot pie which was also very good. It came with a perfectly flaky crust and I liked the filling. You could tell that they make the chicken as it was large pieces and not the premade chicken you would buy at a store. The filling also had a cheese flavor to it, which I liked. I enjoyed it here and would definitely come back.

Grilled Cheese and steak sandwich

I don't typically go out of my way for a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup but I would get this again. I liked the addition of the pesto to the grilled cheese, it made it super flavorful. I wish the steak sandwich was grilled too, but it was also good. Service was fast and the interior looked like your average pub.

So the food is great and the service is fine. We came for trivia but the sound system was awful. I also don't come to a pub to spend $25 on one entree. They need to have more than 3 sandwiches on the menu.

Love The Latona! I've been going here for years. Always have great local beer and cider on tap and the tiny kitchen puts out some of the BEST local sourced upscale pub food you can find. Don't change a thing.

Smashed potatoes

Busy bar on the corner. It's usually pretty busy but they have two floors. The smashed potatoes with the aioli are delicious and part of happy hour. They have live music on the weekends.

Atmosphere was so chill on a wednesday around lunch time. Super clean, i'm always turned away from eating in a pub/ bar environment but not here. I came with my girlfriend and a buddy, All the food was stellar, Cajun Turkey club was smack, Lotoda Burger was Smack, And the streak sandwich to die for. Honestly someone back in the kitchen genuinely cares about food, or keeping a job. Server was blunt chill not overbearning which i love. Great great experience and I never leave Yelp reviews unless the place GENUINELY deserves it.

Hot toddy!

It's the neighborhood pub! We went in for the coveted gourmet crunchwrap supreme and stayed for the banter with locals. It was a really muggy no good wet November day. We went for a misty walk around Green Lake and stopped in for crunchwraps after seeing the Seattle Times article. We were greeted with a classic warm wood pub, fit with plenty of neon. The bartender was an absolute good neighbor and super friendly with us and shared his stories in bartender fashion. The Crunchwrap was sure gourmet, with steak innards, pickled onions, truly a crunch wrap for for a king. Given how the local TB Crunchwrap (ahem LCA TB) is like 10 dollars I'd say this dude is well worth the moola. Along with fun convos of locals at the bar, a hot toddy lifted my spirits on the gloomy day. The ambiance at this place sure feels like the Old Days. I'll be sure to come back, even on the nice weather days!

sour, smokey old fashioned

All the…read moreoutdoor tables were full when we arrived at 6, so we put our name on the list for inside and waited about 30 minutes. The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

Outside seating is first come first serve and inside seating you have to see a hostess. We started outside and saw someone leaving and circle them like vultures. We got lucky, it was 4th of July weekend, so it was busy! We ordered pizza for the table and for my toddler. It was really good! He loves the pepperoni. My order was the salmon burger. They used a good slab of coho, nicely seasoned with a aioli. The fries were crunchy and nice. I shared with my husband and it was just right, since we had a bunch of apps at the market. We also got a round of beers. Or in my case I got their hard seltzer, which wasn't too bad, I would probably just get a light beer next time. Service was great outside! Also you get the nice breeze, they also had heaters on top. Picnic style tables and quick service!

By the time we had dinner, although hungry, it was past 8 and we needed to eat a little lighter and mostly had apps, so not sure how light that meal really was. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Because it was a bit cold, my younger sister got the fried chicken ramen. Fried chicken was not chicken katsu but fried chicken. The chicken was a bit salty while the ramen had a good amount of spice to it. Ramen broth was really good, especially on a cold night for me being from Hawaii. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the cheese perogies. I enjoy perogies and haven't had any while on this trip to Seattle so a bit of a bummer. It was more like cheese ravioli. However best part of dinner was having the family together. And we ended the night on a good note. And the staff, so sweet. We appreciate you all for accommodating our family. See you all on our next family trip.

I do wish there were more protein added on since you pay extra for the protein but overall, this was a great salad. Definitely filling and worth it. Service: service is great very attentive customer service. Ambiance: I did not expect this eatery to be so spacious. There were people working on their computer. They were folks hanging out with friends for drinks and then there was others just so like myself reading a book or people watching.
