Enjoyed an amazing dinner at El Cielo's Latitude 32 We've been wanting to try this restaurant. Would come back for the Pibil alone any time! So Smokey and delicious. Came with blue corn tortillas the Huz devoured the tacos he made. My halibut grilled with the perfect seasoning on with baby parsley and baby carrots on. Bed of cream cilantro perfect! The soups were outstanding as well. Selena the house queen cat greeted us very sweet.

    Oysters 2 for $12

The service was great but the server was a little rude when we didn't want to upgrade to a more expensive bottle of wine, we chose one that was 600 pesos, and he was trying to convince us to buy the 1,400 pesos red wine. The pork belly was delicious, as well as the ceviche! I would not recommend the lamb, it was pretty basic, it had risotto but I got over the taste after two bites. There wasn't a lot going on in the dish and it was pretty pricey. The squid fettuccini pasta was super bland and over cooked, wouldn't recommend. The oysters were super good and fresh but it was really expensive, 2 oysters for $12. The pork belly main dish was great though! Honestly it wasn't worth the price, especially since we are in Mexico. We ended up paying about $240 for food that was slightly above average. I would give the over all rating a 3.5 out of 5.

Latitud 32 - A Cochinita Pibil Masterpiece Slow-roasted Cochinita Pibil so tender it melts in your mouth, topped with creamy avocado, vibrant pickled onions, and fresh cilantro. Paired with bold salsas and rich black beans, this is Yucatán flavors at their finest! Would Agent Sands approve? 100%.

The veggie review! The location was beautiful when sitting outside. The service was a little slow. The mixology drinks were great. We ordered everything vegetarian on the menu, and the appetizers were yummy. However, the main was just ok and the dessert was disappointing. Side Note: our lamb loving friends really liked their main dishes, so it would be a 4 rating for non vegetarians.

This restaurant sits inside the El Cielo resort. It's a beautiful half indoor half outdoor restaurant labeled as a Yucatán fusion of food. The waiters are highly knowledgeable in their wine lists and pairings and are very well trained. Our waiter Jonothon helped us choose our wine, a Malbec, to pair with our chicken and steak "maya." The plates were visually pleasing and truly delicious. I got the steak with black salsa (not spicy) medium well, a mix of veggies and mashed potato's. We also ordered a charcuterie board for the 45minute wait for our food (maybe the only downside.) however, our waiter kept us entertained with a brief history of the wine tourism in Ensenada, Mexico. I truly recommend this place as a must stop on your wine tours in Valle de Guadalupe.

We only came for a light lunch and ordered some salads. Food was delicious as were the drinks. Our waiter was great, brought a little side item to taste which was delicious. Especially the habanero sauce they brought with bread! Even gave some recommendations on what to do around the resort. Good seating with a great view. Highly recommend, as of now. Will be coming later tonight or tomorrow for dinner.

Truly surprised by the low ratings. Chalking it up to tough competition and even tougher crowds. No gimmicks and it's not cheap but don't forget that this is a nice restaurant at a 5 star hotel. This isn't meant to be the next gastronomy super star. The food is completely trustworthy when all you want is a good meal after a long drive in. Our 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 3 drinks, and 1 dessert were excellently done. No misses, all hits. Nice restaurant at a nice hotel with excellent food. Adrian was attentive and made great recommendations.

Oh my gosh, this restaurant saved my weekend! We were on a cruise and the excursion took us to El Cielo winery. We were supposed to get on golf carts but my friend and I smelled that delicious with smoke coming from the restaurant And we looked each other in the eye and knew that we were going to ditch the tour. It was one of the better decisions I have ever made. We made our way to Latitude 32 and asked for a wonderful seat on the patio. For a second I thought I was in Napa. Beautiful vistas, acres and acres of vine, beautiful day blue skies and the meal that followed was exceptional! We were so fortunate to get Cesar as our host and waiter. Cesar speaks exceptional English and was able to take us through a six course wine pairing in about an hour and a half of some of the most amazing flavors and really high-quality wines! The photos begin to show how exceptional this meal was. Each course was beautifully plated, exceptional in flavor and quality, and paired with an equally spectacular wine from the Vineyard. I was absolutely blown away. This ain't no Colorado wine. This Meal and wine pairing Could've been in Napa or in the south of France. That quality, that flavor, that much fun! Plus add in Cesar the waiter, you cannot have had a better day. This was truly one of the best meals I've had in five years. Get here!

Ambiance was nice. Tried the house red which was a Malbec. Very tasty with dinner. Had the pulpo Al grill and it was super tender. Patio seating was nice and plenty warm with a jacket and the heaters. When we left, they had someone that was there to walk you to your car. He ended up spending the next 15 mins showing us the constellations. Was really neat!!

TERRIBLE Service!! Extremely slow and (most) are unbelievably rude!! The only nice one is the lady who ended up being our waitress, and she apologized, saying they were understaffed (although, there's a total of eight tables, no large groups, and 5 servers working).... Take heed to the warnings in the tips n reviews (check El Cielo reviews) ... they do NOT care about customer service. Especially if you are not Mexican. Every table with a non-Mexican at the table, we have to wait forever, ask for things multiple times (i had to get up and ask THREE times before they would bring me coffee. and even then, they brought one cup instead of two, and the pitcher emptied while filling the first cup...really??!?!?!) On the plus side, after waiting 1hr 30mjn, we finally got some food. The menudo and posole were quite good, and the pancakes were above average. We're here for brunch on a big holiday, don't you think they would try and be ready? or atleast polite???? Property management: please note photo I have posted. this employee (Ismael) needs education and training in customer service. extremely RUDE to non-Mexicans, and literally made sure that every other table was served (in one case, multiple times) before ours and the table next to ours. I asked him for a menu, and he refused to give me one.

Not too strong or too weak, just perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the Chamuyo Shrimp U10, and I ordered the Rib Eye Center Cut Steak- medium well. Both came with a side of the criolla salad. The food, ambiance, and service was great. There was also about 30 minutes of live music by a duo performing son jarocho. Not sure if that's the proper phrasing but it was a nice treat. I'm not sure if they are regular performers or they just happened to be there that day. Overall a great dining experience to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.

This place is located in the Valle de Guadalupe, Baja Mexico. I wasn't always a fan of the wine…read morefrom this area. But over the last two decades they have made large strides in quality with new modernization techniques. Besides all of the wine makers that have been here for generations, others (Spain, France, and Italy) from around the world have joined in wine making in the area. The area has all of the basic ingredients (proper climate and soil) needed to make great wine. The area sits in the same latitude as the great wine making areas of the Mediterranean. As a result, now I am a big fan of the area's wine. Now many compare the area to Tuscany Italia before the big tourist rush occurred. The greater area is also home to many Michelin rated restaurants with a great ocean/farm to table menu (carta). Organic and sustainability are fully represented in restaurants as well. If you love seafood, then this place is heaven because of the abundance of fresh seafood from both the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific. I predict that once the new airport in Ensenada is built then this place is going to explode with tourism. Currently, having to fly into Tijuana then take a bus or private transport has been the only way to reach this area from most places in the US with the exception of southern California. People in southern California are lucky enough to drive down for a weekend because it's just that close to them. It's the equivalent of people from Chicago spending a weekend in wine country in Michigan, Indiana, or Wisconsin. In all honesty there is no comparison because most wine in the Midwest is mediocre at best. The problem in the Midwest is the climate extremes which are not suitable to most popular wine varietals. Even when I do find wine from the Midwest that I like, it usually has at least $50-$60 price tag. At a typical grocery store in Spain or Portugal very good bottle of wine is sometimes cheaper than a bottle of water! Under $10 a bottle pricing gets you very good wine, above that you can have even better quality. The winery is beautiful even in the winter. I like to visit in the winter because although it's not super warm here, I go from wearing a winter jacket to wearing a light jacket or sweater. The nights can drop into the 40s which is still much better than a winter polar vortex back home. There is a lot less people, therefore, I can also get into the best restaurants in the area. My rental flat had absolutely no neighbors until the last day when it was time to leave. The isolation was very nice because the grounds are beautiful and very full of life. A huge assortment of birds make this their winter getaway from the harsh winters up north. Citrus fruit was in season down here and the neighboring property had an orchard of trees filled with oranges. The property has a few nice pathways to walk after mealtimes. I also enjoyed the outdoor wine tour which explores the different varietals fields with an enthusiastic guide that was quick witted with jokes. The wine pourings that accommodate the tour were delicious and wisely chosen. I also opted to take the wine cave tour right after the outside tour. How was the cave tour? It was disappointing and frustrating. First of all, as I patiently waited to be taken down to the cave from their gift shop area they forgot about me. They have a list of who is supposed to go down and yet they still went down without everyone?!? Finally a cashier notices that I'm just walking around not shopping and asked me if I was waiting for someone. I told him that I was waiting for the cave tour to begin. He got a hold of the tour guide who had already gone down with some of the group and he came up to retrieve us. Those that were already in the cave, already had been served food that was optional to order with the tasting. After several pourings in the previous tour, yes, I was ready to have some food to lessen the impact of more pourings. Also, they had a nice selection of items that would complement the pourings. Somehow, they forgot about me again, and I noticed others were getting a different presentation than I was on the same tour. Okay, now a sense of frustration is overcoming me and I mention the oversights to the guide. He lied to me and told me that the others had a different level of wine tasting. This disorganized tour was also set up backwards because there should have been a walking tour of the fermentation area first then tastings afterwards. Besides the bad cave tour that I definitely don't recommend. Everything else was great with the exception of the cold washroom on cold nights. They have very nice employees, beautiful grounds, very good breakfast, and a great dinner restaurant called Latitude on the property. Would I come back? Yes, because besides a few frustrating moments the rest was great.

Overall, i would say there are so many other wineries around Valle de Guadalupe that offer better services/food and drinks.

The baja fries were sooo good. The steak included was so high quality, it wasn't chewy at all even though it was cut into large pieces. The guacamole was also delicious. The ceviche was tasty, with balanced citrus flavors without being too acidic. The carpaccio was delicious as well. Personally I didn't order drinks, but they had a large variety of liquor and wine available. As for my fillet mignon, wow. It was cooked perfectly at medium rare, and it sliced like butter. I would say the bacon around it was unnecessary, but it didn't take away from the steak. The mashed potatoes and veggies were alright, but the steak really was fantastic.
