A Michelin rated restaurant boasting a beautiful and elegant dining space with a deep trove of excellent wines. Located just down the road from the El Cielo resort, Latitud 32 hosts a tremendous tasting menu alongside a deep wine pairing menu meticulously crafted to elevating your dining experience. For larger parties, you may need to make a reservation but once you've arrived, the staff will greet you and seat you appropriately. Their silverware is extensive and covers every portion of the meal from the light starter bites to the more hearty mains. And should you be participating in the wine pairing, you'll be enamored with the many wine glasses encompassing your space. The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable in the wines that were curated for this meal and the head chef was fantastic in describing each dish, the ingredients that went into making it, and the significance of them with respect to the local community and culture. They communicated in English for us non-Spanish speaking folks and it was greatly appreciated for us to understand what we were eating and the effort put into crafting it. All the dishes were presented beautifully and consisted of a lot of fresh produce and locally sourced items. Each bite gave you a taste of Mexico, specifically, the Yucatán. I especially liked the seafood, representing its proximity to the ocean. The wines were exquisite; the whites were crisp and refreshing, rosés were exuberant, the reds were rich and bold, and the bubblies were popping with gas and flavor. They all paired nicely to add deeper undertones to the flavors captured in their complementary dishes. The meal ended with a fantastic crescendo of flavors from their "not so poor knight", a play on the moniker used by the Norwegian for their delicious French toast dish. The edam cheese added some savory notes and the cream settled it all with the fresh fruit atop. The soft center yet crispy exterior was a splendid blend of textures. With all the liquids, it was inevitable to visit the restroom which is located in the gift shop next door. Here you'll find ground local roasted coffee and other souvenirs to consider bringing back home. Overall, Latitud 32 lives up to the expectations of a Michelin rated eatery with its bold flavors and creatively designed dishes. The presentation was fantastic and the wines are an exceptional, and dare I say required, part of the dining experience. The price tag is obviously high, but expect quality and care here. Each tasting menu should have enough food to fill you up but for those simply looking to stuff up, this may not be suitable for you. Came for a tasting at El Cielo but stopped by Latitud 32 for a bite to eat first. The restaurant is gorgeous. I highly recommend stopping by. Got the oysters and clam chowder to start. The oysters were fresh and very clean tasting. Not super briny or anything. Definitely a mouthful though. The clam chowder was amazing. I wish I took a picture of it. I remembered when I was already halfway through. The chowder had minced bits of clams so it was definitely clam forward. Delicious if you like clams. Had a thick consistency which I like from a chowder. For the main dish, got the fish of the day. I unfortunately can't remember the actual fish but it was described to us as very similar tasting to seabass. It definitely was. Just a more meaty version of seabass. Nicely seasoned. It was over a bed if carrots which was also a nice touch. For dessert, got the Malva Pudin. If you like sponge cakes or bread pudding, you'll like this dessert. Has a similar texture. Goes perfectly with the ice cream. Big enough for 2 people. Service was great. Loved our waiter. The pork belly tacos were absolutely delicious and my favorite meal, they were tender with a crispy top, combined by a rich black sauce that melts in your mouth with every bite. The clam chowder had a great balance of flavors--soupy and meaty without an overpowering fishy taste. It wasn't too thick, and the ingredients were perfectly portioned. Really good chowder one of the best ones I've had The ribeye steak, served with veggies and mashed potatoes, was cooked to perfection. The steak was flavorful and on point, the veggies were well done, and the mashed potatoes had a nice garlicky taste, though they leaned a bit on the salty side. Enjoyed an amazing dinner at El Cielo's Latitude 32 We've been wanting to try this restaurant. Would come back for the Pibil alone any time! So Smokey and delicious. Came with blue corn tortillas the Huz devoured the tacos he made. My halibut grilled with the perfect seasoning on with baby parsley and baby carrots on. Bed of cream cilantro perfect! I used MICHELIN Guide Restaurants and found Latitud 32. It is next to the El Cielo resort and sits right in the middle of a working vineyard, which makes for a really scenic and relaxing spot to eat. And if you're dining during sunset, absolutely stunning. The menu is Baja-Yucatán fusion, and each dish is paired with recommended wines from El Cielo's own vineyard, enhancing the flavors and providing a taste of the region. Our group enjoyed the following: Ceviche Maya, a mix of fish, octopus, and shrimp marinated in citrus juices, habanero oil, and black recado. The Tuna Tartare was delicious, fresh tuna and avocado slices that were simple and flavorful. The Pork Belly Tacos were especially popular among our group, featuring confit pork belly on blue corn tortillas with chilmole, avocado purée, pickled red onion, radish, and cilantro. And of course, the Grilled Octopus, seasoned with truffle oil and paprika, it was excellent. It's difficult to find good octopus in the States. The El Cielo grounds are vast, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy wines before or after your meal. You can book a golf cart, enjoy a wagon ride around the vineyards, or opt for a bike tour. The property is big, and there are a lot of activity options. It's so large, in fact, that El Cielo Winery even accommodates helicopter arrivals! They have a beautiful helicopter too! They offer short tours. During peak season, reservations are recommended since the Valle is a highly visited area, but they're not required. read more

The service was great but the server was a little rude when we didn't want to upgrade to a more expensive bottle of wine, we chose one that was 600 pesos, and he was trying to convince us to buy the 1,400 pesos red wine. The pork belly was delicious, as well as the ceviche! I would not recommend the lamb, it was pretty basic, it had risotto but I got over the taste after two bites. There wasn't a lot going on in the dish and it was pretty pricey. The squid fettuccini pasta was super bland and over cooked, wouldn't recommend. The oysters were super good and fresh but it was really expensive, 2 oysters for $12. The pork belly main dish was great though! Honestly it wasn't worth the price, especially since we are in Mexico. We ended up paying about $240 for food that was slightly above average. I would give the over all rating a 3.5 out of 5. read more

I came here for my husband's birthday after our cellar tour. The staff on our tour recommended this restaurant for the tacos which were delicious! We didn't have a reservation but since it was early, we were seated immediately. We had a car back to the border to catch so we needed to be quick. We order the grilled octopus, the beef tacos and the seviche which were all so delicious. This restaurant is a Michelin Star recommendation and they certainly live up to the hype. This restaurant sits inside the El Cielo resort. It's a beautiful half indoor half outdoor restaurant labeled as a Yucatán fusion of food. The waiters are highly knowledgeable in their wine lists and pairings and are very well trained. Our waiter Jonothon helped us choose our wine, a Malbec, to pair with our chicken and steak "maya." The plates were visually pleasing and truly delicious. I got the steak with black salsa (not spicy) medium well, a mix of veggies and mashed potato's. We also ordered a charcuterie board for the 45minute wait for our food (maybe the only downside.) however, our waiter kept us entertained with a brief history of the wine tourism in Ensenada, Mexico. Oh my gosh, this restaurant saved my weekend! We were on a cruise and the excursion took us to El Cielo winery. We were supposed to get on golf carts but my friend and I smelled that delicious with smoke coming from the restaurant And we looked each other in the eye and knew that we were going to ditch the tour. It was one of the better decisions I have ever made. We made our way to Latitude 32 and asked for a wonderful seat on the patio. For a second I thought I was in Napa. Beautiful vistas, acres and acres of vine, beautiful day blue skies and the meal that followed was exceptional! We were so fortunate to get Cesar as our host and waiter. Cesar speaks exceptional English and was able to take us through a six course wine pairing in about an hour and a half of some of the most amazing flavors and really high-quality wines! The photos begin to show how exceptional this meal was. Each course was beautifully plated, exceptional in flavor and quality, and paired with an equally spectacular wine from the Vineyard. I was absolutely blown away. This ain't no Colorado wine. This Meal and wine pairing Could've been in Napa or in the south of France. That quality, that flavor, that much fun! Patio seating was nice and plenty warm with a jacket and the heaters. When we left, they had someone that was there to walk you to your car. TERRIBLE Service!! Extremely slow and (most) are unbelievably rude!! The only nice one is the lady who ended up being our waitress, and she apologized, saying they were understaffed (although, there's a total of eight tables, no large groups, and 5 servers working).... Take heed to the warnings in the tips n reviews (check El Cielo reviews) ... they do NOT care about customer service. Especially if you are not Mexican. Every table with a non-Mexican at the table, we have to wait forever, ask for things multiple times (i had to get up and ask THREE times before they would bring me coffee. and even then, they brought one cup instead of two, and the pitcher emptied while filling the first cup...really??!?!?!) On the plus side, after waiting 1hr 30mjn, we finally got some food. The menudo and posole were quite good, and the pancakes were above average. We're here for brunch on a big holiday, don't you think they would try and be ready? or atleast polite???? Property management: please note photo I have posted. this employee (Ismael) needs education and training in customer service. extremely RUDE to non-Mexicans, and literally made sure that every other table was served (in one case, multiple times) before ours and the table next to ours. Yeah, it was a SMOKING day and the kids were done. This was supposed to be our last wine tasting spot followed by a reserved lunch. Well, we went straight to the meal. Inside, there is a rustic feel you get from Central California. My wife and I split a Salchicha Platter & some Beef Tacos. The food was very good and our server was patient & accommodating. After lunch I perused the gift shop, in awe of the cheap pricing of the wines. I am a little disappointed we did not get to taste at Cielo, but this will be on the list our next time through. Driving here to Ensenada along the Pacific Ocean is a much easier drive than having to get up to Paso Robles. Especially once we have the Sentri pass for the border. I'd like to start off by saying how wonderful our experience is so far because of our server Arron. Such a polite and helpful young man. As we came in, we decided we wanted to sit outside and soak up the sun as sip on some mimosas. Today is Monday Jan 22nd 2018 and it's such a beautiful day out here. It's not busy, very relaxing, sun is shining and this mimosa is delicious. They take really good care of this lovely place. Grass is super green and vibrant and looks really classy. You can rent a gold cart and they have bicycle parking. Not to mention.... they have WiFi!! Woohoo! It's a pretty big place. So many tables with umbrellas. They also have some outdoor heaters for when it's chilly. Check out the pix I took so you can have a little glimpse. Tried to take as many as possible. SO Hot!! Omg! But.... I loved it! I'd like to be back, although their restaurant is more for like special occasions! Good thing we were celebrating my clients and newfound friends close on their first house!! They decided to take me here and we were not disappointed! Only that it was like 115 degrees then we were but yum! I admit, you must speak Spanish. That is the difference from wineries here and there but they do take dollars! And, oh their prices are in pesos! I was pretty exasperated to see a bottle of rosé for $360 but when I calculated it out to only $14 I was super happy! Both us girls ordered the margarita which was delicious and the ceviche was fresh as well. I ordered this thing called gringa de mariscos cuz I'm kind of a gringa haha jk and it was yummy! It was like a homemade tortilla with melted cheese on top and thick yummy shrimp and avocado salsa with octopus maybe? I don't even like octopus and I ate it!! So fancy! Visiting the valley in September meant that options were a little limited after the sun goes down. We decided to make reservations here a couple nights before coming down. Being off-season this was not necessary as our group was one of only several tables when we arrived. We opted to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the view of the vineyard while the sun set. I'm not sure if the terrace was even open as we were not given the option. After a day of wine tasting we were a little wined-out, but being in Mexico you have to enjoy some tequila. I think its law or something. I had the Mango Spicy Margarita. It has a tamarind rim like you would find on a michelada and it's a blended margarita with anejo tequila, mango, and chamoy. They top off the glass with a dehydrated slice of mango that is coated in the tamarind spice as well. That slice of mango was almost the best part, it was like spicy candy. Two great things together. For dinner we weren't overly hungry as we had a large lunch. No one got a steak though that's what they're known for. I went with the risotto. Not a norm for me as I always go with something much heavier. This dish was excellent none the less. It was super salty due to all the cheese, but in this case that's a good thing. The service was great. We had two people helping us as out initial server didn't speak English very well so someone else provided support when it came to our questions about the menu. They were on top of our refills and made sure we enjoyed our dinner experience. read more

If you're going to eat here think about it twice, food is okay it's not like what it seems. As a foodie I personally don't recomend it. I ordered their braise octopus and the potatoes that came with it where raw, they had to take it back for re-cooking. One of my friends ordered the based tuna, and it seems like they had just taken it out of the freezer and put it on top of salad, it was a disappointment. They also took that plate back for reheating of the tuna. My cousin ordered lamb and she was disapointed as well not a good plate. I think you're better off ordering entries. Very nice place. Staff was great. The only reason and the most important reason I'm giving a 3 star is because the food wasn't very good. You have great expectations when you first walk in but leave disappointed. There was no flavor in any dish we had. We had a party of 8 and all the dishes were really basic and nothing special stood out from them. The presentation of it is good but again, lacked a lot of flavor. We were there for breakfast. This restaurant is located in El Cielo winery. We came here on a weekday at about 3pm. This was one of the very few restaurant that was open at this time. We sat inside a big hall with high ceiling, TV screen to the back corner of the restaurant, the temperature in the restaurant was comfortable. It was a cold windy day outside. So our server Erick came and took our drink orders. He explained to us the specials of the day and quickly came back with our breads. The breads were good, we told him not to bring anymore as we would've finished whatever he brought and we wouldn't have room for our entree. And so he did, smiling at our silliness. I had the Ceviche Mixto as recommended by our server. When it came it was dark, I guess it was the squid ink, which I love love love!!! And needless to say, I loved my Ceviche, Thanks Erick! I also had the mushroom soup. OMG was it good! It was light, refreshing and warmed my soul. The presentation was special too. Someone brought my wide bowl, in it sat some fresh mushrooms and someone else poured the hot soup from a little sterling pot and the fragrance of the broth was...... there is no word to describe. If you are in the Cielo Winery and you must have something to eat then it becomes a necessity. At least for breakfast that is my opinion. The location is great and atmosphere a plus but the breakfast was disappointing, no flavors, in any of the foods. Wife had chilaquiles verdes with eggs and house refried beans. The only tasty part of this dish was the green salsa, and nothing extraordinary. I dad the arachera/ flank steak with eggs and green sauce, same green sauce on chilaquiles. Steak was tough and not much flavor. The refried beans were bland and not very tasty the green sauce same as chilaquiles. Server brought out three salsas green, red and Habanero Olive Oil mix all three were disappointing. The tortillas were flour tortillas nothing special. What happened to homemade tortillas guys and this is Mexico step up your game on the refried beans. The coffee was the only decent portion of our breakfast here, dissapointing for such a popular location. read more

We were lucky enough to be staying at El Cielo resort over the last weekend and ate at this amazing restaurant on 3 separate occasions. First off, the ambiance of this restaurant is fantastic. It's casual yet beautifully set up with indoor and outdoor seating areas overlooking the vineyard. More importantly, let me tell you about the food. WOW! Everything we ordered was amazing. I highly recommend the pork belly tacos. Crispy crunchy and full of flavor, this is simply a must have. We also had the black ceviche made with octopus. It was delicious and melt in your mouth tender. No rubbery octopus here! Of note, their homemade salsa is incredible. Definitely try the habanero with onion and olive oil that they serve at the table with bread. I wish I could have bottled that up and taken it home. So good! If you are there for the weekend, you will notice the whole lamb roasting and smoking out in front of the winery. We watched it cook all day long. That night when we returned we found you could order it for the table. Incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned. There was probably enough for 10 people even though we only ordered for 3. My favorite wine here was the Zeus Zinfandel. They serve it chilled and it pairs perfectly with everything we ate. Everything here was just amazing from the service to the food.
