Service food is just spot on. Get here early as this place does get full. Steak was cooked just right parilla with ribs chorizo and trips was delicious.

This lady is here from Israel.. and she was at awe!! With these meats!!

The food, service and ambiance was great. Especially the food, it was alot for just 2 of us.. but the T-bone, Filet & Rib-eye ( were magnificently seasoned) it was cooked to perfection. Served with baked potatoe..steamed broccoli and carrots..(not that tasty)

A little pricey but the food was good. Meat was tender, not chewy or gamey. Good quality. Tortillas were homemade and made to order. The accepted our large bill ($100 US dollars) Serve was friendly and attentive.

Absolutely phenomenal. This is my new favorite go-to in Ensenada. The decor is cute and has an old western theme when you enter. The decor, furniture, and cutlery are all new and well maintained. I like the decor! It is definitely a different atmosphere. We were greeted and sat promptly. The staff was friendly and our waiter immediately took our drink order. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the margaritas. Definitely one of the best margaritas I have had down here. The chips and salsa are another hit. They are good! The salsa has some good heat but hearty in flavor. We polished them both before the meal even came out. I ordered the "La Tradicional" and my friend ordered the filet mignon. The food was incredible. The carne asada, the pollo and the chorizo were cooked beautifully and the flavor was incredibly well seasoned. My companions steak was good (though he eats them well done so to me kind of ruins it - BUT it was still fantastic). The baked potato was probably saturated in butter and calories but holy cow - was it good. I was stealing forkfuls off his plate. We were too full for desert so I can't make any comments. Hands down this is a must go-to if you are visiting Ensenada! Excellent restaurant, great staff and lively atmosphere.

Superb. Piping hot tortillas made on site (see photo of dedicated tortilla maker). Crispy just baked corn chips. Mini-barbecue with hot coals to keep the meat warm. Fresh queso bubbling on a potato with a fondue like consistency. I conclude that we Americans are deprived of good food! #bajalife

Our family of 4 shared the Parrilada it was sooo much delicious meat. Ribeye, Tbone and carne Asada with all the fixings. It was so worth the price which was the price of surf and turf in California. Will definitely be back

    Cool spot....

I am very impressive with this restaurant. The flavor of the meat is sooooo good, juicy, and tender that I ate the whole "parrillada" and that's a lot. They have a lady making fresh tortillas, super. Great customer service. Super clean. Great atmosphere. Private parking lot. Delicious guacamole. But a little bit pricey compared to many of the restaurants in the area....still an excellent choice!!!

I have a vacation home near Ensenada and have been meaning to try this place for some time. I am certainly glad I finally did. To start the service is top notch. The restaurant is imaculate and clean with western decor. Let me tell you this was the best steak I have ever had in my life! The cuts were generously sized. I ordered the filet al cilantro, my sister had the filet de Don Esaak and my mom bruchette. All were to die for! The filet melted in my mouth, the bake potatoe was to amazing and they make their own tortillas fresh while you are ordering. They also have a large wine selection. This place is a must if you are in Ensenada.

The buffet here is so delicious. Bummer its only done on weekends. However the restaurant is open during the week and is still very very good. Service is excellent as well. This is definitely a great place to eat and "picky kid" friendly. Since most of the places around here are mostly seafood.

The long lines meant - it was so good and worth the wait. Honestly, it wasn't too long. My friend and I ordered 1 tostada each. She got the aguachiles and I the Guera. Great portions packed with flavor. I went back for oysters, which they shuck right in front of you. There were so many chile bottles to choose from. They also had some dark "crack" sauce that I chose to put on. I'm no sabo so I no sabo what the salsa was but it was delicious. Spicy, tangy, umami. Muyyyy ricooooo

Thus we made a point to stop by for food during our second cruise stop in Ensenada, 4 days later. We discovered the large crowds were not in line waiting, but were instead enjoying their ceviche and other cold seafood while standing up. It made for a festive atmosphere, definitely ramping up the enjoyment of really great tasting seafood. The food stall is located facing the main road of Ensenada (walking distance from the cruise port) and is separated into two parts: the front serving seafood tostadas and the back serving cocktails and aquachiles. Each had different lines, with a common guy accepting payment after delivery. They have been doing this for a while (1981?) and things are efficient. I wanted one thing, which was the mixed cocktail with all the seafood available (campechano, a word I've come to love since moving to the LA area). They have 4 sizes from chico ($105) to jumbo ($360). The seafood mix is diced together ahead of time to save on time, and are mostly diced pretty fine. The mix is prepared fresh though, and was ready in about a minute. It was excellent, refreshing and just the right amount for me. I had wanted to try the seafood cocktail again from La Guerrerense (another nearby famous seafood stand), so that was our first stop during our second visit to Ensenada in 5 days. We then visited other sites in the area, saving El Guero for the end before we headed back to the ship. As expected the cocktail from Guerrerense was very good, but this version from El Guero was even better....better selection of seafood, and more finely mixed to give a better representation of the different textures of the freshness. That would make it the best seafood cocktail I've ever enjoyed.

My fellowship, a cluster of mere mortals with taste far keener than foresight, insisted we seek a place foretold in gustatory prophecy: La Cocedora de Langosta. I assented, though the sea had begun to speak again. A cruel trick of salt and memory. We arrived. The lobster was not served--it presented itself. Shell split like prophecy fulfilled, meat steaming with tales older than Atlantis. The ceviche? Lime and fire in perfect alchemy. It hissed in my mouth like the last words of a betrayed siren. A whole fish, fried until its soul ascended, left bones so clean they could be used in ritual. Angels wept; I salted accordingly. The risotto arrived next, not on a plate but in a chalice. Each bite stirred marrow and memory, comfort and command. My sea legs stood straighter. My resolve thickened. Libations flowed--freely, fervently, faultlessly. The chalice refilled itself (or perhaps the staff were trained in illusion and replenishment). Laughter, clinking glass, and something close to joy dared to rise. Staff were keen-eyed adepts, operating with the grace of trained familiars. The atmosphere carried hints of volcanic enchantment and citrus optimism. Barry the Brave Muffin Baker--my misguided nemesis-ally--might have found peace here. Or at least, a decent aioli. Verdict: A rare convergence of flesh, flavor, and fate. Five stars scorched upon the firmament by my hand. I may never return. But that's only because the enchantment forbade it.

But figured I needed a better way to eat it while visiting Ensenada again with my wife. So this time, went to the nearby sister restaurant, Sabina. It's named for the owner of the original food stand, and there are a lot of pictures of her with other celebrities who appreciated her talent in creating seafood combinations. The Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant is within walking distance from the cruise port, and is located in an area with a lot of other restaurants and shops. We came there soon after it opened around 10 am, and had the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. We showed that we were coming from California, by choosing indoor seating. We were given colorful menus and suggestions. We also got complementary chips and salsa, with 4 different varieties of her famous salsas being served. I tried all four of them, and two of them were way too hot, even in moderation. I did really like the green salsa, which tasted more like a simple guacamole. It also came with thinly slices of lime...each small slice producing so much more juice than any lime we get in California. My wife doesn't like raw seafood, so chose garlic shrimp (Caramones al Mojo de Ajo for Mex$405). There were plenty of jumbo headless, shell-on white shrimp, with the butter sauce being very light and not too garlicky. It came with a very good rice pilaf and sauteed vegetables (mostly squash which neither of us are a fan of). I went with 3 choices from the 5 selection 'Champion' list: 1. Erizo con Almeja (Sea Urchin with Clam for Mex$230) - winner of LA Street Food Fest 2011 for Best Original Showmanship 2. Caracol con Lajas de Caracol (Mixed Ceviche with Sea Snail for Mex$209) - winner of LA Street Food Fest 2012 for Best in Show 3. Singapur (Mex$209) - winner of LA Street Food Fest 2013 for unknown category). All three were piled high with fresh seafood, embellished with perfectly ripe avocado slices. None of them needed additional salsa, but adding a squeeze of lime enhanced. My favorite was the Singapore and would try the other two tostadas on the winners list the next time. The best way would be to order all the tostadas and split amongst a group of 4 or 5 friends (there are 6 other special tostadas and you can also create your own with the fresh seafood ingredients). Got two bottles of water (Mex$75 each...not cheap) and a local beer (Vera Niega Mexican Ale, a bottle being Mex$110) that was excellent. Service was attentive and friendly throughout, with multiple servers (Horacio and Antonio) attending to us, all trying to make sure we had a good time. Credit cards are accepted, using a modern tableside POS, and I was happy to pay a gratuity over what is customary. Bathrooms are modern, with individual stalls (most of them gender neutral) all sharing a nice common set of sinks. My wife and I left in fine spirits and it was beginning to fill up more as we left (all dining al fresco, of course). Dining at the nearby original food cart is worth the initial experience, but there is something to having food this good in a sit-down restaurant. Sabina is that place.

Overall an okay experience…read more Aside from being seated, service was really good. I thought it was strange that it would take 15-20 min for food, especially since most of it was ceviche (is it not already prepared?) Pricing is definitely tourist pricing. We spent $185 for 6 people, about 8 tostadas (which were way bigger than we expected), 3 fish tacos, and 3 drinks. The seafood is definitely fresh and some of the flavors are unique. We ordered about 6 different tostadas and we all ended up liking the fish taco the best. Good for sit down but definitely plan to wait, not ideal for big parties.
