He did say younger kids can go. But please understand, when you hit the steel, hot metal comes flying out! I didn't think I was going to be strong enough to do it but I did! It was fun to make my little tomahawk. I learned a lot. He's a trained blacksmith and has worked up in Williamsburg so he knows a lot! This will probably be fun with friends but as usual, I went solo! The tomahawk didn't take as long as I had expected. But I had a lot of fun. You actually get to do a lot more than you think. Cool shop. Like I said, I used Eventbrite to buy a ticket. But I'm sure if you call, they will be more than happy to help you. His wife is super sweet and is also really friendly and helpful. He laser measured the existing stair heights to ensure that each was step was the same and shimmed each step to made sure that there was no squeaking sound-rock solid treads!. The fit and finish of all the joints on the rails and balusters was such that you wouldn't be able to fit a straight edge razor blade between them. Long story short, they've held my car in the shop for almost two years now (complete engine swap)…read more I'm extremely disgusted by their work ethic and the current state of the car. The owners were not in today so I asked the receptionist what was the reason for it being held up for so long? She said the exact same story they've been telling me all along. "OoOoOh we are losing workers and the new guys don't know what's going on with the current projects".. regardless, how is that my fault? Plus, one of the actual owners claims to be the one working on the car himself so..? I don't understand the issue. had I not stopped in today; who knows when would have been the next time they notified me. Thats also another thing. EXTREMELY POOR COMMUNICATION, why is it that no one at this shop can keep me in the loop? Updates? Nope. Never. Estimated time of completion? LOL. never! Oh you're going on deployment? Let's put this project on pause. Now, there has been "some" progress on the car which I will give them that but come on now we are going on two years. TWO YEARS GUYS!? I guess 3 is the magic number? Just so sad at how this ended up. Be careful. Don't end up like me.
