    Stuffed Cabbage
    Kevin D.

Great place. Went here for the first time in a long while on Sunday evening. It's a pretty small place inside with fairly good parking. The menu is pretty extensive. I had stuffed cabbage and it was very good. I want to come back and try more things. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I know this is a locally-loved place but I don't really understand the hype (and neither did many of the people with me). I will say, service was excellent which is a great redeeming factor! The menu at Lasse's is HUGE, I will definitely say way too big. I think narrowing down would make the dishes a lot more successful. And it would be a lot easier to decide on what to order. Another interesting thing at Lasse's is the portion sizes - they are also HUGE. The pasta dishes came out with what looked like a whole box of pasta. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it was way too much. The food itself was underseasoned and bland, which I was disappointed in. I had the scallops, which should have been delicious but tasted like nothing at all. Also weird to pair with yellow rice. My friend had the chicken with cranberry and felt the same way, super underseasoned. HOWEVER, I did try the fried shrimp which was delicious! I was told that the steak was tasty as well, so perhaps I ordered wrong? I wouldn't rush back to Lasse's but might try it again if others wanted to. I think they can work on the menu size, portion sizes, and seasoning, but if they get that down, it would be great!

A diamond in the rough. Cannot believe i haven't been here til this week. The service was great super friendly and quick. The quality and portions they serve are unbeatable. There was so much seafood in my seafood penne a la vodka they did not skimp! My dad got the blackened Ribeye steak it was juicy and flavorful. Can't wait to come back.

4.5 Had this place bookmarked for a while, finally went because we were nearby. Unassuming little pub/restaurant. Very inviting and hospitable wait staff, who worked together. Appetizer combo was pretty big. Coconut shrimp and calamari were our favorites. Get the extra gorgonzola on side salad, well worth it! The chicken francaise was tasty and tender, good portion. The fried seafood combo was the best I have had in CT in many years. Fries were crispy and perfect, wish I could have eaten them all (too full). Clam bellies, tender, clean, fresh and very tasty. Scallops were sweet, tender and juicy. Fried shrimp were huge and delicious and I usually am not a fan of fried shrimp but these were special. I wish we made this a regular spot years ago. Hidden local gem!!!

I really enjoyed my Sunday supper here. The service was good. It's really popular and full of people. There's a lot of parking. The restaurant was clean. The roast beef was amazing! Highly recommend this place!

This was the first time having a Lobster roll on a hamburger bun so that definitely threw me off. The taste however was good. The spinach was good; had huge pieces of garlic which I loved. Service was good. The decor could definitely use some updating.

Casual. Reliable. Good. Old traditions including roast beef sandwiches, fried belly clams are delicious. Go there and enjoy.

Extremely festive with tasteful Christmas decorations. We decided to sit at the bar to get a better feel. Caley first welcomed us. Very professional and friendly. We also had the privilege of meeting Brittany (one of owners) and Mike (bartender). All were very helpful In recommending other restaurants to try and just genuine conversation. The bar is decorated so well for Christmas, offers true darts, and table shuffle board. On our very first visit we were treated like long term regulars. Go with complete confidence. The menu is on the smaller size, but has great offerings and is suitable for the space the building holds. Our order: -We took advantage of the half off wings special for Sundays. The wings were a good size and we enjoyed the blue cheese. -Brussel sprouts: piping hot! And a HUGE portion size. These are a saucier style (loved the maple flavor) as opposed to crispy. Definitely recommend. -Buffalo Cauliflower: Just the right amount of kick and perfectly roasted. We loved the ranch dipping sauce. Also definitely recommend. -We had to try the O.G. Chicken sandwich as it appears to be the menu staple. The edges could have used some more sauce, but the middle bites of the sandwich were juicy! Loved the pickles, bacon, ranch, and American cheese flavor combo. -Side of onion rings, was served with honey mustard. Not overly greasy, had great flavor. Service was great, we loved the music but wish we could have heard more commentating from the basketball games. We were frustrated at times with the use of their plastic utensils... we often were fighting with our veggies as they slid off of our forks, but understand how the plastic utensils aligns with their popular food truck. We left feeling VERY full and took some wings to go. There were quite a few parties for a Sunday night, and their take out business seemed steady. Liberty Rock Tavern appears to be a hidden gem of a sports bar in the Milford area. We definitely plan to go back!

We got two shareables and two handhelds - nachos, not-zarella, stratcity cheesesteak, sidewinder fries and sausage and peppers. The shareables were ok. The not-zarella and sidewinder fries had interesting sauces that were not to my taste. I had the cheesesteak but there was a lot of liquid in the sandwich which caused it to fall apart from what seemed to be from the premade and overcooked onions and peppers. I couldn't finish the sandwich because of the liquid and overcooked onions and peppers. While the food wasn't the greatest, the drinks and the service was good and timely. We have come here previously for takeout and the service was great so we planned and came back this time. Another benefit is that they have a nice outdoor space.

The sandwiches are really good and they have a nice little outdoor seating area in the warmer months. Some of the food is not homemade but they still do a good job overall. I would say it's a little pricey because I tend to spend around $40 to $50 on breakfast for 3 of us. We usually get two sandwiches and a breakfast platter plus a drink and it adds up quickly. Wait time is usually about 15 minutes. They get busy but they keep it moving. Pro-tip: add cherry peppers to your favorite breakfast sandwich for a nice kick in spice and flavor.

When we went in, we were the only people, but that changed 3 minutes into our experience - it was customer after customer after that. I think a lot of guys with hands on jobs come here to buy breakfast before work (it is convenient, cheap, and delicious). I finally decided on one of their specials which was a grilled cheese on sourdough. It came with bacon, avocado, tomato, and cheese. My mom wanted a traditional American breakfast so she had the platter - 3 eggs, bacon, and toast, with a side of coffee. Altogether it came out to $20 which was really good. We were in no rush, and I think they saw that so they prioritized their orders. They have milk (whole, oat, and half and half) and sugar for the coffee on a table to the right of the counter. While I waited, I admired the plants they had all around the windowsill. I was also loving all the natural lighting coming in. We noticed it was a bit cold inside. The bathroom is clean and warm. After about 15 minutes, our food was ready. Each half of my sandwich was big. I could see all the crispy bacon, the gooey cheese, the fresh avocado and tomato, and the perfectly crispy bread. The first bite was magnificent and so was the rest. The only complaint was that it did feel a but too oily. My mom's food was also good. The eggs looked great and the bacon was crispy just like she likes it. The only complaint with hers was that it seemed like instead of butter for the toast, they used congealed bacon fat. Overall, we had a great experience. Although it seemed like there were only 2 workers - one taking orders, and another cooking - they were very efficient.
