Very disappointing experience overall. I was scheduled for surgery on Monday, but only two hours before the procedure I received a call saying the doctor determined my corneas were too thin. What's concerning is that this only happened after I specifically asked them to review my scans again. Had I not pushed for a second review, I genuinely worry they may have proceeded with surgery despite the risks. I also requested a direct explanation from the doctor and never received one. Instead, I had to repeatedly call the office just to get basic answers and speak with someone knowledgeable. My impression is that the process felt far more focused on moving patients through surgery than on patient safety and communication. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a procedure here to ask detailed questions, seek a second opinion, and carefully review whether they are truly a good candidate before moving forward. I was petrified about the procedure, but everyone in the office was so kind and compassionate about understanding my fears and helping me understand that there is nothing to worry about. I got my lasik done 4 days ago. From consultation to procedure day was smooth. They explain everything to you, consultation is very detail oriented and every step of the way makes you feel comfortable. They call you to confirm your appointment and review all before and after care of lasik. Preparation is about 1-1.5 hour of waiting in the waiting area with some eye drops. But the procedure itself is only 8 minutes per Dr. Wills. Procedure itself was quick, very little pain, and walk out with facility provided sunglasses. I wish they gave me the night goggles because sleeping with that sunglass for the first night was not comfortable. I took off 2 stars because of the followup appointment saga. My appointment was at 9:10am. Arrived on time and checked in. Then, waited to see the doctor for an hour at the lobby. Once I finally got to the room to see the doctor, she didn't even introduce herself, she started talking about my case out loud even before closing the door which there were lot of people waiting outside as well (what about patient privacy?) She didn't introduce herself-I had to ask "who are you?" She dismissed my questions and kept repeating herself "I'll see you in a month!!" I heard her the first time and I clarified my question again, but she dismissed, opened the door, and let me out. I was in the room for literally 2 minutes. I expressed my concern to the front desk, and gladly got my month follow up with a different doctor. Hopefully that doctor isn't as dismissive as Dr. Sea/See (sp) for short. read more

I have no opinion on their lasik skills, but the front desk/managerial office could use help. The first time I scheduled an online consultation, at 4pm, no one called till 4.20. When I called back to ask why I was told the previous consultant went longer than scheduled. Today I went in for an in house consultation. Got there at 9.50 for a 10am appointment (the website states if you're not there in time you may have to wait. Totally understandable). Was given a 7 minute video on lasik to watch but the background music was so loud I couldn't hear what the doc was saying very clearly. Waited till 10.18am. Asked to use the restroom and the very snippy gal at the front desk pointed to the key hanging on the wall and corridor to use without even looking up. Then a few minutes later asked again about how long I had to wait, again without looking up she said 2 minutes and she'd take me back. Waited 5 more minutes, the gal left and a guy took her place, and then I told him I was leaving. He said I was next...but hey we're busy people too!! So - do go if you don't have anything else to do and have a free day to wait... read more

Don't go to LASIK Plus! They will literally destroy your vision. I got lasik here back in 2006 and now I have a condition called Keratoconus. It is thinning of the cornea which lasik can lead to. They won't tell you this of course and market lasik like it is as easy as ordering fast food. Lasik is a medical procedure that has serious longterm consequences! I have little options and expensive treatments ahead to fix this damage to my vision. Please avoid Lasik Plus and Dr. Neil Wills. You will end up worse than you came in! He will destroy your vision. If I knew what I know now, I would never consent to lasik or care from lasik plus. Steer clear. If I can save one person from this then I'm satisfied. LasikPlus is a great company and they offer fast service with great results. The process was fairly clear (no pun intended), the staff was courteous, and the results speak for themselves. I highly recommend LasikPlus. I only have one complaint (and this isn't necessarily LasikPlus' fault). They explained to me that if you get the surgery and you're over 40, there is a natural decay process with your reading vision, which means you'll probably need reading glasses. My reading vision before lasik (without glasses) was fantastic. I needed glasses to drive or read slides during presentations. Otherwise, my vision wasn't horrible and my reading was great. After surgery, it's the reverse. I can see fine without glasses for driving and reading medium and large print (which is what what lasik is for). But, now I need reading glasses to read small print, which I didn't need before. I've done some research and still don't exactly understand what happened. I'm still confused by this. In hindsight, I probably would have waited until my reading had declined before getting the surgery. Since much of my work is reading, I now wear reading glasses almost as much as I wore corrective lenses to see at a distance, which is disappointing. The longest part of the whole process was the in person consultation. They will make sure that you are comfortable throughout the whole thing and answer any questions that you have. Surgery day - the procedure itself was pretty short. Once you get into the surgery room, Dr. Wills gives you a run down of what is going to happen and answer any questions that you may have. Absolutely would recommend this location! Everyone on staff- from front desk to the doctor who did my procedure were amazing. I was so scared for this process and felt nothing but reassurance and comfort from my consultation to the procedure itself. I'll start off the review and say the bottom line is that LasikPlus is a competent place to get a Lasik procedure, but I am not gushing over my experience. When I arrived the day of my surgery, I was given a passive aggressive comment about not confirming by a woman up front that I think was also a doctor. I was put in the narrow hallway--a mini lobby of sorts--where you wait to go here or there. They checked my eyes again and the guy said I was still good and I was put back in the hallway. I was given a hairnet and he put some gauze by ears and he asked me to look up. He put two different drops in my eyes from bottles that were on the table in the hallway and left. I had no idea what was going on and if my Xanax they gave me was even going to kick in before the surgery. This was not at all comforting sitting in a hallway having no idea what was next. I was called into the surgery room. Dr. Willis introduced himself to me and I mentioned I was nervous. He said not to worry, he's done this several times, I'll get more drops and to just listen to his voice to help guide me thru it. He was very reassuring. He said throughout the weekend, if there are issues to call the center and that you don't need to go thru the recovery alone. After the whole assembly line treatment, I was extremely grateful for that the doctor who actually performed the surgery seemed to care about the patient. Unfortunately, that was the last bit of compassion I received. About 15 minutes after surgery, the numbness wore off and it hurt. At hospitals they ask you to rate your pain and it was about 9/10. I live about 25 minutes away and as soon as I got home I took the Tylenol PM they gave me with hopes that I could nap as instructed. I couldn't the pain was too much. I took two additional Advil PM that I had some of it subsided. I set my Alexa for three hours and closed my eyes. It felt like someone cut and burned my eyes--which is exactly what they do--and it hurt for hours. I opened my eyes after the alarm went off and started the drop regimen hoping it would provide some relief. It was difficult because my eyes were constantly watering and were swollen. I have no idea how much actually went into my eyes. I finally feel asleep for the first night and when I woke up most of the pain was gone. For my friends who received Lasik, this was not their experience. I knew my experience wasn't an emergency because I could see pretty well, it just was painful. I dutifully did the drop regimen because I was desperate to find relief. I took what Dr. Willis said to heart and I called the center and the 800 number from my paperwork that weekend. I heard nothing back. It felt like there was a torn contact in my right eye all weekend. Thankfully, my follow up was Monday morning. It was a perfunctory check of your vision and the same woman from last week said everything looked good and was about to quickly dismiss me (my whole follow-up appointment taking about 4 minutes) if I didn't say I don't feel fine. I was pretty upset that not one person asked me "how are you are doing or feeling?" Seems pretty standard. I wanted to be able to talk about my recovery and check in to make sure I was doing ok. When I explained to her about the pain, she was said "uh, yeah you're going to be in some pain." She was shocked that I wasn't happy. I tried to say I was caught off guard because it didn't seem like others had similar experiences and I had to spend 3-5 hours on Saturday and Sunday with my eyes closed. Her first question to me was "well did you take the drops?" I answered yes. What person who is experience pain and discomfort isn't going to take the drops? I would have done anything to feel better. So she said, "ok well try these drops. You can find them at CVS and they are like a gel and more moisturizing and will help. Otherwise, this is normal." I could tell that was about as much compassion as I was going to eek out of this experience and they certainly weren't making any more money off of me every minute I was there. I was consoled by the fact that she said I was healing fine and I left. I bought the drops and they are much better and the torn contact feeling is dissipating even though it isn't quite gone 6 days later. I write this to just be up front about the experience in case someone might be comparing to another place. They definitely treat you like a number and are trying to get as many people in and out of there as possible. I did believe Dr. Willis was sincere and I liked Chris, my initial intake person, but it didn't really lead to a better experience. If you might have any complications or expect a tougher recovery this might not be the place for you. read more

Ask for something more than Tylenol PM for the pain!! Background--I've worn glasses/contacts since I was 14. Blind as a bat! Have researched LASIK before, but never moved on it. Finally decided to do it and am glad I did. I had the procedure done yesterday. So far, I'm happy with the results--my vision is clearing up daily and it's really nice to ditch the glasses and contacts. BUT....I kinda felt like I was on a timed conveyor belt. The tech that checked me in would have preferred if I just signed off on the pre-op paperwork without reading it--you know the paperwork that tells you about all the possible side effects, etc.?! She said more than once--'there will be a copy of that in your folder to look at later". She was clearly on a timeline... Once she processed me, I was off to the interior waiting room to prep for the procedure (cap and gauze to cover your ears). There were at minimum of 6 of us back there, waiting for our turn on the table. This was the slowest moving part of the conveyor belt--waited at least an hour. Good news though--they have free wifi! Once on the table it was a quick 10 mins. This included my brief (and only) meeting with Dr. Wills. As a Navy spouse, I appreciated the military like precision with which Dr. Wills and his team worked from machine to machine. Quick check of his work and out the door I go! Now, this is where they lose a couple stars on the review. I was in excruciating pain for 4 hours immediately following the procedure. It felt like I had acid in my eyes. The only thing they gave me for pain was Tylenol PM. When I mentioned this today during my post op, the same tech that seemed irritated that I wanted to actually read the paperwork, dismissed my concern--"In the 4 years I've been here he's never given anything but Tylenol PM. Anyway, it's more to help you sleep not for the pain." I guess it just chaps me that when you look at the assembly line of patients going through there in one hour and do the math over the course of a 5 hour day of surgery (10min/surgery=6patients/hour @ $3600=$21,600/hour x 5 hours=$108,000)...they could afford more than a single dose of Tylenol PM. read more

I got Lasik because I have worn glasses for over 19 years, and I just wanted to be less dependent on glasses. I wore glasses every day, and I could not drive without them. My lasik was for Myopia (nearsightedness). I made an appointment for the consultation online. The consultation is similar to a regular eye exam - the doctors are basically determining if you are a good candidate for LASIK or PRK. If you wear contacts, they will tell you not to wear them the day before the consultation. If you have glasses or a prescription from an eye exam, bring those to the appointment. At the consultation, they also discuss the cost of the procedure, which depends on the service you need. I would say expect costs to be up to $4,000 total. You can pay out of pocket or use their financing. Fill out any patient forms and/or financing prior to the appointment via their patient portal to speed up the process. You will have to watch an 8-minute video that explains the process. On certs is days, you can get your consultation and eye procedure on the same day. I think Wednesdays and Fridays. Keep in mind, you have to pay if you get the procedure (entire amount of paying out of pocket, unless you are financing). The consultation is free. I decided to get the consultation & LASIK procedure on the same day. I got there at 8 am, and I left at 10:10 am. The consultation was the longest part. The procedure was SUPER quick, painless. Your eyes are numbed for the process. The doctor walked me through the entire process & told me what he was doing every step of the way. The staff was super nice. They gave me sunglasses, meds & eye drops.. then, I went on my way. Please have someone to drive and pick you up if you decide to get the procedure. Everyone is different but your vision may be foggy or blurry. I went home & took a nap. After the numbing drops wore off, I felt like I was wearing dirty contacts. So, I'd still say this was a painless process, but there may be a little discomfort or grainy feeling in my eyes. The eye drops they provide helps with this though. Dr. Wills called me the night of my procedure to check on me. Super plus for me. I did my post-op appointment the following morning. I drove myself and there is parking on the Street. My experience getting lasik was amazing! The staff here is awesome, and Dr. Wills was so kind and patient. I was so nervous, but they kept re-assuring me the whole time. It was also a very speedy process, it literally felt like 5 seconds each eye and then your done. Really intriguing experience. I would definitely do lasik again and recommend tthis office to anyone considering the treatment. The only downsides are the dry eyes, you get those pretty badly. April 2021, I saw an advertise on internet for $1000 off both eyes. My glass prescription was 10. Since I already did one eye few years ago for $1700 for just 1 eye, I therefore scheduled for an appointment. In my mind, I was expecting to pay for $1200 ($1700 - $500 discount for 1 eye). The exam date came, it took about 1 hour for check up. The price they quoted me was $1900. I was shocked, I told him last time I got done for $1700. He explained because the office upgraded to new equipment. I didn't buy that, but I wanted to get it over with, I said $1900 and I got the discount for $500. My total would be around $1400. The office said no, $1900 was already discounted. At this time, I was upset and said to the man "How come with the discount was more than on sale?" I walked out the door right away. This is the trick LasikPlus pulling on newbies. Without my previous surgery, I have no way to compare the price. Newbies don't know this think they get good deals. Lesson learned: 1. Price gets cheaper over time 2. Few minutes on 1 eye cost $1900 is too much. People take a full month to earn that much. You do the math how the greedy people rip you off. 3. My previous surgery took me 1 full month to heal, far from what they said next day. Lasik is next day heal, NPK takes at least 30 days which they did not tell me at that time. 4. No guarantee of anything. If you are blind, they are not responsible for it. That why I only did one eye. 5. Shop around and compare 6. All the lasik places are nice to people. Never do you feel pressured to commit and the procedure itself takes no more than 10mins and then you literally walk out the door with improved vision! Dr. Wills talks you through the entire surgery and keeps you calm, totally painless. Extremely pleased with my results! During my initial consultation, little was mentioned about payment or payment plans. The woman who ran my information for Care Credit kept telling me to ask Care Credit any questions, as she didn't know. Most of the LasikPlus team was extremely helpful, but the day of my procedure was extremely rushed. I felt like i was shuffled around starting at check in. The same woman who helped me with the Care Credit app during my consultation was unwilling to answer my questions. I appreciated the positives attitude of the other staff and Dr. Wills was very professional. The female doctor who saw me post- op was very nice. I would recommend Lasik Plus, but as a whole, the staff need to recognize how big of a financial commitment/ lifestyle change this is for patients.
