Dr. Wong is a very competent and patient optometrist and unlike some doctors, he takes his time with the eye exam. It's nice to feel rushed when deciding this one or that one. Since he doesn't sell any contacts or eyeglasses, he doesn't have a stake in pushing a certain brand. He gave me plenty of samples so I could decide between the disposable contacts and 2 week contacts. He gives a 15 percent discount for those with Tricare. I needed a copy of my bill in order to get the reimbursement from Acuvue for purchasing contacts and the receptionist promptly emailed me a copy. According to his website, Dr. Wong is now full time at his Fredericksburg office. Northern Virginia is missing out! read more

I'd definitely recommend this place. The Doctor was very patient going through the - option 1 or 2, 3 or 4 - process (you know what I'm talking about). I hate feeling rushed out the door so they can get the next person in, only to feel that I'm not seeing as clearly as I should. Didn't feel that way here. The staff was friendly and helpful too. The doc even came next for to Foreyes to help clear up an issue with my insurance. Not the biggest place but at least I dont feel like I'm getting a drive thru eye exam. read more

Dr. Wong was very helpful in my first eye exam in over 10 years. I didn't know what to expect, or how it worked, but he guided me through every process and explained what was being done and why. I also liked how he wasn't trying to push any sales onto me, or treat me like just a patient. Soon after, I bought my first ever pair of glasses with the prescriptions from him, and everything is perfect. I would definitely recommend Dr. Wong. I highly recommend Dr. Wong. I had gone to Costco optical an Lenscrafters in the past for eye exams and decided I needed a change. I'm glad my Aetna docfind steered me to Dr. Wong. Dr. Wong is unlike many other optometrists in that he doesn't sell you goods and services that you don't need or want! It was quite refreshing. Dr. Wong is very knowledgeable and friendly. For the first time in exams I experienced, Dr. Wong used this device to measure astigmatism that goes over one's glasses/contacts to double check for astigmatism. Also, he recommended other contacts lens brands and gave samples for free! The Costco eye doctor charged me for a sample one time. I definitely will be going back. Dr. Wong is a kind, patient, very knowledgable eye doctor. I saw him between Christmas and New Year's, which is a busy time for eye doctors as people like me try to use vision insurance benefits before they expire at the end of the year. During my appointment I never felt rushed, I never felt like he was trying to clear me out to get more patients in the door. He patiently and thoroughly answered every question I had, and he gave me a lot of unbiased advice on contacts and glasses. He also answered a follow-up question I had very promptly via email a few days later - it's nice to still feel like a priority even when you're not in the office! On a side note, Dr Wong had an unusual situation happen during my appointment, which was their last appointment of the day. His nurse needed to leave a few minutes early before closing time - remember, it was the holidays, and it was nice to see a doctor who understands that his employees are people, too! But right after she left, he had three patients walk in at the same time. He managed this sudden influx of patients calmly all by himself in the few minutes while my eyes were dilating. But he was still conducting my appointment, still checking in with me and thanking me for my patience. It's worth noting that, in all of the confusion of managing three walk-in patients with different needs, I was not ignored or forgotten about at all. I was so impressed at how well he handled everything, and how polite and professional he remained in what must have been a very stressful situation. As a nurse myself, I also appreciated how politely and respectfully he spoke to and treated his nurse - not all doctors are this way, and I really respect the ones who are. Very attentive to my needs--went over different tests several times until he felt SURE he did everything the right way---One word of advice---There needs to be a bigger SIGN for your business that we can see from the road---i rely on GPS (like most people) and assumed that the larger generic optician sign around the bend from "For Eyes" was you--your business is so good that you (and us) really deserve a bigger sign.... I took my contact lens prescription to another facility to fill because the prices were reasonable elsewhere - only to discover that Dr. Wong had reversed the Rx for my glasses and contacts on the form and didn't complete it. Other than the power of the lenses, no other sizing or brand information was on the Rx. I have taken it to two other places that said they also can't fill it with missing information. I'm livid that I wasted my money and have to pay for another contact lens exam. read more

I actually got an eye exam a while ago from Dr. Wong after going to a different optometrist here in Springfield (MyEye...) and thinking I was at DMV. The other optometrist just nodded his head rushed me out of the room and asked me to wait outside so I could be sold the glasses by some sales person. Dr. Wong asked a bunch of questions and took the time to answer all the questions I had. I've never used contacts before and he took the time to help me put them on, I actually received two different types of contacts so I could try and decide which worked best. After he was done I had different contacts to try on, a contacts prescription, a prescription for my glasses and a recommendation to buy online so I could get everything much cheaper. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Wong. I have to say my doctor's visit with him is probably one of the best interactions I've ever had with any medical doctor! He's extremely attentive and really tried to understand my issues, needs and what I am currently doing in terms of my eye care. He addressed all my concerns and recommended things to me that no other eye doctor has done. He doesn't treat you like a number, but a patient. This is the first time I've gone to an eye doctor and actually been able to talk about my issues and have them address and not feel like I'm being rushed out. I decided to go to Dr. Wong because of the good reviews on Yelp. My previous eye doctor was terrible and I did not want to choose a new one without doing some research. I was very pleased with my visit. Dr. Wong was very friendly and patient during the exam. Although Sirius Eye Care doesn't sell eyeglasses, I was referred to Four Eyes which was in the same building, around the corner. I ended up getting a new pair of progressive glasses and a new pair of reading glasses. The glasses I received turned out to be the best glasses I have ever owned. The progressives had great clear peripheral vision and a larger area for reading. The brand I got was Essilor Varilux Physio. I couldn't be happier with the results and I will definitely go back to Mr. Wong and Four Eyes again. read more

I decided to schedule an appointment with Sirius Eye Care since I've been disappointed with the quality of customer service that I've been getting at retail stores like Hour Eyes. The office is conveniently located off of the freeway near Springfield Mall. Scheduling an appointment was quick and convenient. In addition, my visit with the eye doctor there (Dr Wong) was very pleasant. Dr Wong was very thorough with my examination and attentive to my needs and concerns in helping me to find new pair of contacts since I had recently recovered from a viral infection related to contacts over-wear. He explained thoroughly the benefits and cons of each contacts option. I never got the feeling like i was being rushed unlike my past visits at retail chains. In addition, Dr Wong was very approachable and easy to deal with. I would have to think twice about visiting a retail chain after my experience here. I decided to give Dr. Wong a try based on the previous yelp reviews. I found the reviews to be accurate based on my own experience. I was pleased with the appointment I had with Dr. Wong even though he was about 15 minutes late for my scheduled appointment because he was still working with his previous patient. After reading the other reviews I did not mind waiting a few extra minutes knowing that he would not rush me through the examination/consultation process. His office assistant is very friendly and we chatted a bit while I waited to see him. Dr. Wong was thorough and patient answering my questions and gave me two different prescriptions based on specific needs I had. I am pleased with the results. I went into Costco to purchase glasses, but could not find a frame that fit correctly. I asked the gentleman at the optical counter if he could measure my Pupillary Distance so I could order glasses online. He had about five customers ahead of me, and I was in a hurry and couldn't wait in line. My fiancee had just had a very thorough eye exam done by Dr. Wong the week before, so I went into his office to ask them if they could measure my PD. He came out of the exam room, recognized me, and immediately told his office staff person to take the measurement for me at no charge, all done with a smile. What great customer service! After a terrible experience with an Opthamologist in town, I called Dr. Wong's office that afternoon and made an appointment with him the next day. The nice young lady that answered the phone was very polite and professional. After meeting Dr. Wong the next morning, I found him to be very professional and concerned about my eyes and their care. He did a far more detailed examination than the Opthamologist who just told me my eyes "were fine". Dr. Wong, during his exam found a potential problem that could become severe and referred me to a specialist for further consult. He explained everything in detail and spent more than enough time with me and answered all questions thoroughly. If you are looking for a great Optometrist, who will give you a detailed exam and will take time to answer questions, friends, then this is the Doctor that you want to see. I took my sons & myself to Dr. Wong's practice for the first time last month (August 2015) as a result of not being crazy about any of the eye places I've visited over the past 5 years in Stafford (where I live). Wow, what a huge difference! Instead of having 3-4 different individuals testing our eyes in different stages like an assembly line, we had ONE person, only Dr. Wong himself, doing all the testing with maybe one exception on one machine. Dr. Wong truly seemed to care about getting accurate readings, as I never once felt "rushed." My own eyes have some unusual problems (as a result of having PRK surgery done years ago), but he was able to get me a pretty good prescription (glasses/contacts) that don't make my eyes cross. Amazing! The only single negative was that Premier Opt. Svs. was very difficult to find, because you had to first walk in through another door (at the Fredericksburg Mall) then scan the horizon for their very small door. However, it's kind of a blessing in disguise, because it will hopefully keep them from every getting too crowded!! All in all, my sons & I are now customers for life. It's wonderful to get good, old-fashioned personal service in today's modern world! (The receptionist is "all business" though, but that's quite alright.) Dr. Wong is the real deal! read more
