Dr. Patel does a great job. She spends time with her patients and answers all questions. She is very thoughtful and thorough. Karen, Of the eye glass fitting area, is great. She has helped me pick out many pairs of eye glasses and sun glasses and has never steered me wrong with my selections. She explains all of my rx and insurance questions. Medina, at the front desk, is such a wonderful addition to the office. She has such a great spirit about her. She greets all of the clients with the best attitude, smile, and makes you feel like you are valued. The whole office is a great experience. Extremely unprofessional. Despite calling three times to scheduled/verify my appointment. Whomever was working on 07/28/2025 at 2:28 pm screwed up and didn't book my appointment which I only found out after taking off work and arranging child care. Additionally, they also managed to disconnect the line 3 times before they finally figured out how to answer a phone line. Guess that should have clued me in on the type of professionals employed there. HIGHLY recommend you look elsewhere. Very disorganized. read more

I came here because of the positive reviews, but it seems it has changed hands and gone right downhill. The young lady doing the eye exam was very dismissive and rude. I could never see any of the numbers and letters clearly, so I am unsure how she could write the prescription so confidently. When I questioned the fact that everything was blurry, she said it was the best she could do and I got the bums rush right out the door. I went to another doctor the following day and the prescription was completely different. After the exam, I showed them the first version and was told there was no way it could be correct. They were kind enough to set up the machine so I could see both versions. Not only is this place incompetent, but quite dangerous. I could not imagine trying to drive with the first pair. ---and for heaven's sake, do NOT tell them up front that you are not purchasing your glasses from them. They take it personal. read more

I have been using a big chain vision company for years. I needed to get new glasses and they told me it would take three weeks to get them. I decided to contact GH Eye because I had met Ally Stoeger. I got an appointment quickly, they ordered my glasses and I got them in less than a week. In the process of doing their eye exam, they found a condition that might have needed a lazer repair. They scheduled me with a specialist that same day and it turned out that I had a partially detached retina. The specialsit scheduled me for the successful repair surgery the very next day and I am now rehabbing the eye. I am confident that I avoided a MAJOR vision problem due to working with GH Eye. They did the job that I expected and I am very greatful I brought them into my eye care. Thank you! read more

So do you like to be deceived by verbal contractual terms? Then this is the place for you. If you're looking to get an exam for contacts, you will be paying at least 110+ an additional at least 120 for additional procedures. My experience with this office unfortunately is that I was given a price over the phone for the cost of the exam and then upon arrival for my appointment was informed that the price for the exam is going to be about double due to procedures related to getting a prescription for contacts that was not describe over the phone. Based on my experience with this office, it is unprofessional and I would recommend to avoid this office. Deception of costs the patient will have to pay is unprofessional, rude, inconsiderate, and a sign of poor management. This office does not manage expectations. That's sort of behavior does not deserve respect, let alone money. read more

Dr. Stoeger clearly cares a lot about the patients she cares for. I had an eye emergency and called GH eye at closing time in a panic trying to figure out what I should do. Even though I wasn't a current patient, she went out of her way to exchange numbers so that she could keep in touch throughout the rest of the night to make sure I was doing okay and continued to help me through my problem with very professional advice as well as trying to line calling colleagues to line me up with a specialist that would be able to see me. I wasn't a patient when I reached out for this hep in a panic, but I will be now after the customer service that I received from this office. read more

Dr. Ally Stoeger must NOT really be a doctor. The first thing she said to me was "You have one eye that is smaller than the other." I was shocked this was the first thing she would say to me as I know from reading that none of us are symmetrical. So My mom and I went to Dr. Ally Stoeger, O.D. and staff this past Saturday and I have to tell you, we loved our appointment with her. Dr. Ally Stoeger took her time to get to know each of us and what a thorough examination, "Wow".. Such a wake up call from going to My eye Dr.'s or America's Best and other retail places like that with a doctor in a box in /out with a 10-15 minute examination. Our visit with Dr. Ally Stoeger was just all around "Great"..... Now, there were two staff members (Ereddie, and Michelle) in front that helped us out with our appointment process, finding the right pair of glasses and checking out. Both were very nice and friendly, but Michelle was very knowledgeable, She just went up and beyond to make sure we understood everything, were happy with what we picked out and felt comfortable about our choices. I had a problem with a new pair of glasses and had to have them repaired after only wearing them two times. Within hours of voicing my concerns the owner, Dr. Ally Stoeger, called me and corrected the situation. I was very hesistant finding a new eye doctor in the area. I had some previous eye issues which left me with some scarring and a very complicated prescription. Dr Stoeger took her time and was very knowledgeable. I have never been so happy with the comfort of my new contact lenses. It is like a whole new world. She changed my glasses prescription as well and i have been comfortable with finally wearing glasses. I would give her and her staff 10 stars if i could. read more

We had a great experience at GHEye. We are new to town and my son stepped on his glasses walking to the bus. They were able to get us in for an eye exam & new glasses the same day and we got new glasses within the week. The doctor was great, the optical shop was super patient and knowledgeable, they have a lot of technology that made the visit easy & fast...and with our insurance it was super affordable. Previously, I had been to an eye doctor near my office in Arlington but I changed jobs and that was no longer practical. I searched on-line for reviews prior to making my appointment. Dr. Stoeger was by far the highest rated and the comments made me feel like I would be in good hands. The previous reviewers were spot on. The phone was answered promptly and the lady who made my appointment was friendly, professional and thorough. My appointment was scheduled at a time that was convenient for me! When I arrived, everything went smoothly. What I really appreciated, however, was that in reviewing my history, Dr. Stoeger decided to probe more deeply into a problem I've been having that has gone thus far unresolved through my General Practice. I really appreciated her attention to detail and her curiosity about my whole health, not just my vision. The thing that I find most delightful has been the follow up care. Dr. Stoeger has made it a point to follow up with me since the appointment to check on my condition and also to ensure that I am happy with my new contact lenses including scheduling these calls outside of traditional office hours at a time more convenient for me. I would be careful about bringing your child here for vision check. I brought my 6 year old son in and they put eye painful eye drops in his eyes and said he needed bifocals. I took him to a pediatric eye doctor for a second opinion and they said his vision was perfectly fine. He's 8 now and doesn't need any glasses. read more

Set up an appointment a week in advance with emailed confirmation of time. Scheduled to be off work for that time. Office called me 2 times in 10 minutes, the day before , to confirm an appointment 40 minutes later than scheduled. When I return the call they said someone was already booked in the earlier appointment slot. Offer to reschedule but no apology. Only that I must have been wrong even though I had an email what the original time. I will not be returning to this office remember your sizes different from mine read more

We are giving EH Eye five stars because of their excellent service. We went in as a walk- in (we had run an errand very close to the business and decided to just stop there) because my husband had seen a floater in his eye that morning which we have read is possibly a very bad thing. So we went in and asked to make an appointment explaining why we were there. They said wait a few minutes we may have a person rescheduling. In about five minutes they got my husband in. (floater was not one that was a problem thank goodness). They were very easy to work with, because of the floater, they really wanted him to be seen as soon as possible. Last week was my first time visiting this office. The staff were really nice and friendly. The children and I had an appointment with Dr. Stoeger and she was great. She took time to explain to me all of our results and answered all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed at all. Dr. Ally Stoeger is the best optometrist that I have ever visited since I started needing one - and that was since 1992. Very knowledgeable and caring. She genuinely cares about the health of her patients' eyes and overall well-being. Her facility is equipped with the most advanced eye care technology. Her staff is attentive and polite. It can be busy at times but that is just a sign of her entire team's competence and professionalism. I am thinking once anybody gets to experience dealing with Dr. Stoeger, there is no switching to other options anymore. The eye clinic is very conveniently accessible. Made an appointment for my 9 year old son and as soon as we walked I knew this was a great place. The staff were warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Dr. Stoeger gave a very thorough and informative exam. I was amazed at the new technology for I didn't get the same experience and service at the franchise, myEyeDr. When one of the staff heard me say I need to use up my FSA, she asked if I needed an exam too and she gladly fit me in the schedule to make it convenient for us. Again I was amazed at the thorough exam provided for me. They exceeded my expectations. They are very accommodating. May I add that we were 45 minutes early to our appointment so they were able to fit me in without compromising the other patients scheduled appointment. DO NOT GO TO DR. STOEGER! I went to this office based on the online reviews and because they participate with my insurance, but I will never go back. I first made an appointment for my daughter. Dr. Stoeger did a normal exam, but when I went in to get the information about her findings, I felt as though I had to press to get details about my daughter's needs. She didn't have a clear cut prescription and I felt that I was left to make decisions about her care without much direction or guidance from the doctor based on the exam. It wasn't a huge deal, but it left me feeling a little uncertain about Dr. Stoeger's approach and patient care. I next made an appointment for myself. At the beginning of the exam, the dr. tried to convince me to go with a type of contacts that costs twice what I'm used to paying. We agreed that we would stick with what I was financially comfortable with. I got the standard exam, but it was nothing more that I am used to getting at a Target optical, and she had me put in a pair of contacts to test the Rx. They were fine, but I noticed that the box said they were the super expensive brand. I asked her and she said, "No, these are what you asked for." I insisted that she double check and she admitted that they were the more expensive contacts, then said, "But, how do you feel? Don't you like them better?" Uh, no...not for double the price! She gave me a different pair that we had agreed on, but made me throw out the contacts I brought with me because she wouldn't give me a case for them...they still had two weeks of wear left. After the appointment was complete, I asked for my Rx because she hadn't given it to me yet. She said I didn't need it because they would just order the contacts at the front desk. I told her that I was not ready to buy, I wanted to do some price checking, but I also wanted my glasses script to take home. She immediately went into a highly inappropriate, unprofessional, and honestly unethical rant about how when we come in with insurance and don't buy contacts and glasses right away, we are stealing from her practice because the only reason she accepts insurance is because insurance companies guarantee her that the patients will buy from her. I informed her that I was under no legal obligation to buy anything. She then said that if I go out for a nice dinner and get good service, I should leave a tip and that it is the same at her office. Even if her products cost more money, it's like leaving an obligatory tip when you receive services from someone. Honestly, I have never encountered anything as unprofessional as this in a doctor's office! It was insane...it even sounds ludicrous now. Anyway, I would have spent probably $1000's of dollars there over the years with my family, but she won't get one penny now. Her high pressure, shaming, and bait and switch tactics should keep patients far from her office. read more

rip off, over charges. she charged me $900 for a pair glasses that i just saw for sale at costco for $325. Any receipt you get from them has so little detail that you can't tell what you just paid for. would not recommend them to my enemy read more
