Usually when I get my nails done, my hands will feel like they've been worked on. I've never had a bad experience but I would always feel like my cuticles have been cut and my nails have been cut. This time, I felt like I had my hands washed and moisturized only but with the appearance of a full detailed manicure. My feet were done first and after getting the heat turned down a bit, that was so relaxing. I used to get this done every 6 weeks but I've been going months w/o and I don't know if it's because of the longer gap between or me getting older but my foot tickled a bit and it caught me off guard because I've never had that sensation before. She acted as if it were normal but I guess to her it was. She jokingly asked if I wanted polish on my feet as she laughed and although I knew she was joking because she was laughing but she got serious and asked if I wanted clear. Now I don't know if polish is supposed to do something to protect your nails but I've never had it before and I'm not going to start now. I do wish nail places catered more to men. Not catered more to us but had some basic basic services. I think a basic manicure and pedicure (I refuse to call it man...ped...) I will likely be back here but I also go to the Fort Washington one because it's more in my travels but this one has done the best job of all the places I've been...ever.

I went to this location to get the same appointment but I went to another lady. I expected for it to be the owner, the results should be better. I was wrong. Once I got out the chair she took off so much hair. During the experience I told her I like my eyebrows full but she didn't do anything else to reassure my procedure was doing well other than her telling me my eyebrows took the perm well. When I got out the chair to look (which I also think was a red flag, I think you should bring the mirror to the client not make the client get up) I noticed my inner brows were missing. Now I have to wait for them to grow back. I wish she measured my eyebrows. I wish she asked me more questions but I trusted her. I included picks of how it looked two years ago(the first picture) and what I got yesterday. I am so disappointed and angered. My eyebrows do not even frame my face nicely anymore so I don't know what went wrong. I have receipts and will be showing up later to discuss. The first photo was taken last week, are you crazy? I had only previously gotten nail salon lashes so way less so I was expecting a similar experience but closer to home in Virginia. I WAS SO WRONG. I got a hybrid set that took two hours. It's in between a classic and volume application. I believe the owner herself did it as she said she teaches as well. I got curled lashes that were only a little bit longer than my own (straight, nice length, doesn't curl and doesn't have a ton of volume). The application was done so thoroughly and its funny I cannot even feel the lashes. I forget they're there. I don't have a fear my real lashes will rip out either as with nail salon lashes. I was given a little lash brush for grooming as well which I never got before. I highly recommend. So excited to be 'ready roll' for my trip. Pro Tip: There's a first timer discount and also you get a coupon if you check in on the Yelp! app.
