I have been seeing Shawn for 5 years now and I honestly couldn't think of going anyplace else to get a vag shape-up. I provided screenshots of my initial review of Shawn from the first year I started going to her. After a 2yr long wait, I can confidently say that NOTHING in that review has changed except for her using a hard wax (it's my fav now), the place she waxes, and her being her own boss. Outside of those things, my girl has still be on her game and I braved through the quarantine lockdown just to see my favorite "Barber of Vag" again (that's real love if you didn't know). Now while I want all women who are on the lookout for a bomb esthetician to find comfort in knowing that Shawn is definitely the right esthy for you... I specifically like to give info for my fellow black women/people, WOC/POC. LOOK NO FURTHER LADIES!! I know how daunting it is to seek out services that have people like us in mind as well. I hear you, I see you, and I am with you. Some background about myself: I am a 25yr old light skin black woman with really course,curly, and dark body and facial hair. If you were able to check out my review in the screenshots provided, you will know that I consider myself to posses a "wolf-gene" (lol) see how much appreciation and love I have for Shawn for taking care of me and helping me to regain my confidence and get my hair under control. I have suffered from excessive and fast hair growth since 6th grade and my self confidence and skin took a hit from it. A skillful barber specializing in the mons pubis, Shawn is also a bomb a** lash tech as well. It's been a year since I started getting my lashes done by her and I'm not sure if I can go back to not having them. While everyone's experience will be different based on a variety of factors (how strong your natural lashes are, if you wear makeup consistently, how will you take care of them, etc) I personally have great retention from her lash work and nobody can really tell that they aren't mine. Shawn makes sure that her clients have at least a basic knowledge on aftercare and general health of the areas she is providing service to as well. All-in-all, if you are looking for a new esthy for your next vag shape-up, or want to try out some lashes to kick off your "Hot Girl Fall", look no further! It's important for you to feel like you can build a good working relationship with your service providers. I have been going to Christen now for about 3 months now and my experience has been top tier. She is fun, personable all while extremely professional. I've been going to Olga for years every two to three weeks. I bring this up bc after years, they looked great! They were strong, no breakage or damage. This sold me on Olga and her team. With extensions and proper care, you aren't damaging your own lashes by putting on falsies and ripping them off, or mascara and using a curl tool. She stays educating herself (a wall of certifications), her team, and their clients on lash care. She won't lash your weak lashes and won't aggressively pile on fans to weaken your natural lash. Studio is super clean and sanitized, they are always masked up since they are super close to your face when lashing. Olga has all the lash friendly makeup product as well as cleanser to take proper care of your lashes when you're between appointments. Only downside is there isn't two of Olga! Wish technology could just clone people already lol. But Christen and Tabitha are awesome as well. I always leave satisfied and lashyfied. This isn't a place for last minute appointments though. They are very good at their job so appointments fill up pretty quickly but if you can stay on top of your appointment game, you will receive the best quality lashes and services in the area. The new front desk associate was consistently rude, dismissive, and difficult to communicate with. On multiple occasions, my appointments were not booked correctly, and if my requested time wasn't available, there was often little to no communication. Instead, I would later discover that I had been scheduled for a different time without being informed. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was that after several negative interactions at the front desk, I would still be approached and encouraged to purchase products. Because the interactions felt awkward and unwelcome I was able to figure out how to try and just avoid her. At one point, after I showed no interest, a comment was made under her breath implying that I must think the product was bad. Unfortunately, I also did not have a positive experience with my waxer. I found our interactions to be unprofessional and at times uncomfortable. There were several comments and interactions that felt rude and unnecessary jabs, leaving me feeling more like I was an inconvenience even though you can tell she wanted your business versus a valued client. I was also disappointed with the waxing service itself. The overall process did not feel as professional or polished as I had come to expect. The service lacked the level of care, and professionalism that I experienced with previous waxers at this location. It is uncomfortable for both parties however you would except a certain level of professionalism coming from waxers from European Wax Center. It seems like this company is trying to promote safety, trust, and professionalism that this waxer struggled to do. I understand that staff changes happen, and I know several waxers have recently left and been replaced. This location only has a small team, and because of the poor experiences I encountered, I had no desire to continue trying different waxers in hopes of finding a better fit. It's disappointing because I was a loyal customer for over a year and previously had positive experiences here. However, the combination of poor customer service and unprofessional interactions ultimately led me to take my business elsewhere. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, as they significantly impacted what was once a place I enjoyed visiting.

The front desk lady gave my 1:30pm to an add on. I asked: "Is there a 1:30pm?" Her, "No." She exclaimed to 4 customers in the waiting room that she woke up late and messed up the appts. Okaaay? I have a really tight schedule today! What a waste of my time.
