Diana did my lashes and she did a great job! However i would definitely not return. First off there is not enough 2 hour street parking - not sure about anyone else but parking in the CVS lot would leave me uneasy. Secondly you share 1 room with 2 other techs and their clients which doesnt seem entirely safe and sanitary with COVID especially when they're working on your eyes - not to mention you cant talk to your tech because their busy talking about their personal life and using their cell phone. My experience with Lashes on Fleek was a couple of months ago. It was uncomfortable and quite frustrating to say the least. I called that day and spoke with Nia about getting my eyelashes removed. (I got my eyelashes done at a different location.) She was accommodating and was able to get me in that day, which I greatly appreciated and the reason for the extra star here. She told me that a technician would be there to perform the service. However, when got there, the technician brought me into the room and I was incredibly surprised to see another person getting their lashes done at the same time. This technician had paused her service to remove my lashes (which I know must be frustrating), but as I laid down on the table, she mentioned that she didn't have the product to remove my lashes and that the owner just needed to pick some up from her store and bring it to the shop. It would be about 10-15 minutes. Okay, no worries...they fit me in, so I didn't mind waiting. 15 minutes comes and goes and around 25 minutes of waiting I asked the technician what was going on. She said that it would be just another 10 minutes. I took a breath, sat back down and thought I'll wait another 10 minutes, but I'm leaving otherwise. Well about 15 minutes later, just as I was getting ready to leave, the owner, Nia, walks in. Nia failed to wear a mask in her own shop. One that has a sign on the door that says "mask required". She seemed to not even be aware that that would make anyone uncomfortable. She called me into the same room I was in before. With the technician and client still working and other people coming in and out of this room, I was super uncomfortable about safety during COVID. At this point, Nia asked me to lay down and still wasn't wearing a mask. I asked her, "Do you mind wearing a mask?" She gave me a passive, "Yeah, I'm going to." There was a lot of talking between the staff and it was pretty loud. If I was going to be there longer for a full lash service I wouldn't have enjoyed the experience. I did hear Nia mention to the other technician that the product to remove lashes was there all along after finding it in their inventory--which really frustrated me. She removed my lashes and had me wash my lashes with the provided lash soap, which is perfectly fine, but during COVID I would have hoped they didn't just leave the bottle there for everyone to use. In the event someone doesn't wash their hands, then we're using this bottle for lash soap and then rubbing our hands on our eyes. I don't want to be SO nit-picky about those things, but it certainly seems they could be doing a lot better in creating a safe environment for customers during this pandemic. Starting with the owner wearing a mask not just when she feels like it, but when she walks in. Additionally, I was unaware they only take cash. I didn't see an announcement online as I just looked their number up via AppleMaps. Their window says they take cards and they have a machine for it, so I didn't give it a second thought. I ended up paying via Zelle. This should definitely be told when booking an appointment. On my way out, Nia said to come back because they do a really good job. She said this to me while looking at her phone and talking to the other technician. This whole experience was very unprofessional and it's unfortunate because I am sure they are all very talented and the salon is adorable, but I will not be back because the frustration of all the other things just isn't worth a good set of lashes. read more

Second response: Nia, I find it disturbing that you can sit and go back and forth with a client. I don't see how this is "professional" in any way. As a business owner you should know that rule #1 is the costumer is always RIGHT. You seem to put up a fight with everyone on your bad Yelp reviews. First off your not one to tell me how to spend my hard working earned money during this pandemic. If I wish to get beauty services done than I will get them done. All salon businesses were to be closed for months when the Governor ordered the issue back in March and were to be reopen the ending of June. After reading the guidelines when they were allowed to reopen I found it safe for myself to get such services done if the business is following the guidelines that are being enforced by the health department. You seem very upset that I pointed this issue out which it shouldn't be a problem if you're really following the health department guidelines but if you're putting up a fight to my concern and trying to blind side it which leaves people to wonder doesn't it?? And yes you are right my main issue was the lack of commitment to your company's goal but the fact that six people were together in such a small room was also one of my concerns which I shared here on my yelp review and it seem really upset you which I don't understand why? This is a concern you should be addressing yourself as a business owner and not sitting here going back and forth with the client as I can see I'm not the only one concerned about this issue you have another yelp review stating the same thing and the same thing you're putting up a fight with the customer.
