Service from this place has gone downhill. I thought I'd give them a chance they have not been open for too long. This salon is expensive for the dumpy area they are in. This is a little cute salon on backlick and never packed when ive gone which is a blessing! Anywho, I got lashed by Holly a month ago for the first time I used a groupon. She told me to come back for my nails and I thought id give her a try since she was so nice and did my lashes really good! I visited Lashes and Nails last Monday for a gel mani and pedicure. I walked in hoping for Holly but Mama was available. Mama is really nice and makes you feel comfortable but I had to give them 2 stars because my nail polish started coming off after 6 days. I went to Mama to fix the two nails and the next day my polish was coming off a third nail. Sad to say, I referred a friend and her nail polished chipped the next day. I saw them on groupon but went in without purchasing one. I did call ahead as I was interested in getting lash extensions, and everywhere else always seems to make it difficult to book! I had gotten a really bad acrylic powder set on my nails a week and half before - already had two nails come off, and several chips, plus I already needed a fill! Holly fixed up my nails and did a fantastic job - outside of naturally needing a fill at this point, they still look fantastic after more than three weeks! I even asked for a color suggestion and she delivered with one that I probably wouldn't have picked on my own, but I'm so glad I ended up with! I can't remember the name of the lady who did my lashes, but she did a great job for my first set - I'm definitely hooked! I seem to have sparse lashes to begin with, so this may have been the case, but it did seem like they came off more than I was hoping for, but also considering the process, it's understandable. The price is definitely right, though, and I didn't have any other issues! I'm planning on going back this week for a nail and lash fill! read more

Best SNS/dipping powder manicure I've ever had! The ones I get in NY are twice the price and half as good. Other places pile on the powder and you leave with your nails feeling heavy and sometimes lumpy. Here, they have it figured out. Staff were all lovely too. Highly recommend! read more

We made appointments to get our nails done and they put us in the pedicure chairs when we got there, we sat for about 25 minutes in lukewarm water and then they told us it would be 10 minutes. After sitting in the chair for 50 minutes in total they finally started our pedicures. Then they couldn't find the color I wanted for my manicure so I had to pick a new color. I picked something else, it was the brand of gel that lasts the longest on my nails, and I specified that I didn't want the other brand. They still used the other brand base and top coat. It's frustrating to pay a lot of money to not get exactly what you want. In total we were at the salon for 2.5 hours. Ridiculous. read more

I bought the groupon for a FULL SET of mink eyelash estensions. You would think that full set means that each of your lashes will have an extension on it, but nope. They told me that this set would only cover 50% of the lashes...I was just expecting a lot more than what they gave me. read more

I used a Groupon for my first visit for a mani-pedi. Kiki did a great job. The gel manicure was applied perfectly and I liked how she didn't cut my cuticles, but still made them look very good! Go to Henry for SNS and Gel. After 5 times you get the nail service for 50% off. And if you bring someone you both get 20% off. You have to make sure they file the nails the same length. read more

Make sure you ask up front about cost!!! Everytime I have gone I walk in asking for one thing and when I go to pay it's always something add fee to it. But they never let you know. They will sit there and talk about you in their language about raising the fee, which I experienced my last visit. I called to ask if they were available to do something over the phone before I drove there. Of course they said yes. Along with asking if I wanted eyebrows or pedicure as they do at least 3 times while your there ( that gets annoying because if I wanted that I would ask for it). I get there and I confirm to them that I wanted a certain service for my lashes since I had been there last week and everything they but had fallen off. So I went in expecting to pay $45. While getting my lashes done I can understand them saying one week and hear my name. So once I'm done and go pay they tell me $80!! I told her no it's supposed to be the week fill for $45. She goes on to tell me I was there over 10 days ago. So I pull up my credit card charges and it said 8. So for one more day the charged almost double? Then she told me what they gave me was the two week fill with volume. Which I had the regular lashes no volume the last time I came. She went on to explain that when more than 50% of the lashes fall out the have to charge more. Well one, I didn't have the extra volume and two, at what point did you know that it was no longer what I walked in and asked for over the phone? Then she said the tech asked you if you wanted longer?!! Yes she did. But she should have said it's this much more. Had I known longer would double the price I would never had said yes. Everytime I go to this place they always up charge or if you ask they tell you don't work. If you do go pay first so you don't get hidden fees. read more
