So I have to say I was quite nervous on getting my first lash lift as I've never hand this done. My lashes are pretty dull without fake eyelashes, and since I wear glasses they tend to be a bit bothersome. Upon my arrival, her boutique is very cute and she took the time to walk me through the process. I was concerned my lashes weren't long enough for the lift, but Jazmine recommended the lash lift and to see if I like them. It's only been day one, and I like them already. Just got out of the shower (sorry eyes are red) and looks like I have mascara on. She recommended I comeback in 4-6 weeks, and I think I'll try the lash extensions next but if that doesn't workout for me, at least I know the lift works. I actually saw Jazmine for the first time a few years ago at a different lash studio, and was thrilled when I found her again at Pretty Gorgeous! She's amazing at consulting with you and offering her opinion on what will look best with your eye shape, and it's mega-relaxing to be on her table while she works her magic. She did a glam-but-still natural look on me that makes me feel like a princess every time I catch myself in a mirror. ::blink blink:: It took about 90 minutes for her to create my beautiful lash look, and I hear it can take anywhere from 2+ hours depending on what you are getting and what your current lash situation is. Refills in the future should be even quicker though. Extensions last 3-4 weeks before they need to be filled in again, and Pretty Gorgeous uses all mink lashes. So, as you can imagine, the extensions are a bit of an investment, money-wise, but it makes SUCH a huge difference in how I look sans-makeup. I'm super into makeup, and usually don't like leaving the house without my winged liner on but these new lashes make me feel beautiful without a lick of makeup on. If you've been on the fence about trying extensions, I say give it a go! I bet you'll think it's more than worth the moolah, and will love the way you look! read more

I'll start off my review by stating that I've been to a few lash places in the area, and Pretty Gorgeous is by far my favorite! I started my lash journey a few years ago and have had a few nightmare experiences, from having my eyes scratched to getting my lashes done while sitting in a shampoo chair (never again)! It is definitely worth investing some time doing your research prior to visiting a lash stylist and paying a bit more for a safer and quality experience. Jazmine is extremely qualified- upon meeting her a few months ago, I realized that she used to work at another lash place in the area that I frequented. She is very skilled (and fast!) at placing lashes perfectly on my skinny, short, and stubbornly straight Asian lashes so that the look is subtle yet awesome- as an FYI, I get the thicker curly lashes in 10s-11s every 2-3 weeks and never have to wear mascara. On top of Jazmine's mad skills, she's very friendly and funny and my appointment times breeze by quickly. Getting my lashes done every few weeks does add up, but honestly, you really can't beat the prices and quality at Pretty Gorgeous. After a week of searching for a good lash studio I found the combination of great reviews and reasonable pricing for Pretty Gorgeous Lash Studio. I purchased the $150 deal for 1 full set of mink lashes and 1 refill. Other studios I was looking at were charging close to $400 for the first application. This was my first time getting lashes and it was a great experience! Jazmine is such a pleasant person and definitely put my worries to rest upon meeting her. You can tell she is very passionate about what she does. The entire process took 2 hours- I fell asleep for most of my appointment. I waited one week before posting this review to make sure I did not have any problems- so far my lashes still look & feel great! Not only does Jazmine do a fabulous lash job, but she is super flexible with scheduling. On several occasions I've asked to change my appt and she has always accommodated. If you clean your lashes (I use glycol free face wash) and take good care of them, they will easily last 4-5 weeks. read more
