I moved from Houston a year ago and had a hard time finding a lash studio. I have been to a total of 5 different lash studios and was never satisfied until a I went to Lash Genie how many months ago. I've been loyal ever since! I usually get them done by Lizzy and Kylie, but all the girls are great! Lashes actually last and are full so you won't be disappointed. After being a customer of the lash lounge for 2+ years, I was extremely hesitant to try a new place. I read the reviews and the fact that it saves me 45 minutes of traffic....I was sold!! First impression left me skeptical as its next to a gas station, then you enter, go down some stairs and down a hallway before you get to it. (There is an easier entrance but I didn't know that yet!) I was greeted by Taylor who was my lash tech. She was super sweet, knowledgable on her craft and knew exactly what my lashes needed. I was blown away by the end result as I had never seen my eyes look so good. Lizzy did my lashes for my wedding last year and when i get the chance to see her for a special occasion! no matter how long i go between fills, they always hold and look great! she has options, like the first time i got them done i was pregnant, so she hooked me up with a non-toxic glue. she really knows her stuff and she's meticulous in her work. i highly recommend her :) read more

I originally went into the studio because the day before I had a terrible lash experience that made me cry. They were uncomfortable and WAY too short. So I booked a fill to get them lengthened. During this fill Stacy took one look at my lashes and felt so bad for me that she went above and beyond to help me get a new set. She went out of her way to help fix my lash nightmare. I never thought I would be a lash horror story, but it happened. She said I had glue everywhere, lashes stuck together, clumps of lashes, and SO crispy. YIKES. I looked in the mirror to find that my natural lashes were broken and some had been trimmed! Thanks to these ladies, my lashes feel 1000 times better now. They helped me out so much and worked with me to find a compromise on the price. I am so thankful for this. Words can not even express how much I appreciate them. Did I mention I had a flight at 6 to catch? Yeah, Sara probably sacrificed some of her break time and squeezed me in at the last possible second and had me out the door by 4:15 so I could catch my flight. She is such a gem too! So instead of having crunchy, ugly, short, lashes before my vacation, these lash genies sent me off to Nashville with long, soft, beautiful, doll lashes! Seriously, don't cheat yourself out of quality lashes. I thought it would be better to save money and go somewhere else. You really do get what you pay for and chances are you will have to pay twice like I did! Stacy and Sara are the absolute epitome of excellent customer service! What does this place not do? Lashes: I should've came here to begin with but I didn't, I went to another place that was a bit closer to me. So I had lashes glued to my actual eyelid, 5-6 of my natural lashes glued to one extension. #HOTMESS!! The girls at Lash Genie really took care of. I have seen Melody and Taylor. I explained to Taylor what I wanted and she gave it me. Even though she told me that due to the damage from going to the other place she couldn't get me as full as she would like and could be, I am more than satisfied. What Taylor is calling not being full is fuller than what I got at the other place. Tanning: Now I've never received their tanning services. I mean I don't need it, hahaha! Now I don't know what all the specifics to this service is but what I do know is I have seen women walk in looking pretty pale and come out looking gorgeous, gently kissed by the sun. Massages: They have a new girl there named Sonia who does massages. While I was getting my lashes done she gave me a complimentary foot massage which was very nice. If I had the time I would've scheduled a massage that day. After I get a full body massage I'll put a post about that. Threading: I had my eyebrows threaded by Taylor. Not gonna lie it does hurt but your eyebrows will look so good and it lasts MUCH MUCH longer than waxing. Waxing: They have three different types of waxes they can use and if one of these doesn't work for you well you may want to consider laser hair removal I'm just saying A Sugar Wax, A Soft Wax and a Hard Wax. The hard wax works best for me, I have some stubborn hairs. Facial: Lizzy is a true esthetician and such a sweetheart. She gave me a nice little facial cleaning out a ton of 'junk' found in my skin. She used some tool I have no clue what it was something with some ions but man did it clean my skin. I am so getting one of those things. She used something else called dragon's blood at first I thought it was crazy. And the idea of any product with the word 'blood' being smeared on my face I was not feeling it. Lizzy laughed and assured me it was fine. My skin has never felt so good though. I will be getting me some of that dragon's blood as well. Bottom line is this whatever you want to get done, waxing, threading, lashes, tanning or facials. Lash Genie has you covered :-) read more

Love it here. I had called 4-5 other places around town that I found on Google, trying to get an appointment. Only ONE person called me back after my voicemail and they couldn't get me in for 2 weeks. I was waiting for that appointment, then my boyfriend told me there was a lash place down the street, so I walked in and made an appointment for 2 days from then. Lucky me, that place was Lash Genie. The gals here are awesome and lots of fun, most importantly, their work is flawless. I get compliments on my lashes every time I go out- most people are surprised to hear they're not real. In my visits there, I've also overheard women who came in to have crummy work from other lash places repaired-- some whose lashes have been all but pulled out by terrible glues (makes my stomach churn). Anyway, I wouldn't go anywhere else. You can get a foot rub from Sonya while you have your lashes done, pick up a trendy outfit, fix your skin with a facial or peel, and get a sunless tan (all of which I've done and have loved). I contacted her on very short notice after I couldn't get into my usual lash locale, another place in town which is also wonderful, and I was so thankful she was able to get me in! I have never had a lash lift before so I did a lot of searching before deciding on Lash Genie. So I took my pale, nonexistent eyelashes and asked Cheyenne for help. I really wanted to have that look of wearing mascara without having to actually apply and remove it every day. She applied the "perming" solution and curled them and gave them a beautiful tint. I could not believe how great they looked!! I am hooked! Cheyenne made it look easy, but she was meticulous about having the lashes spaced naturally. Love, Love, Love! It was difficult for me switch to someone new after so many years, but Sophia turned out to be the best find ever! She is more than accommodating with my dizziness that occurs when I lay down, which puts more strain on her, but she's willing to work with me to help me out. I had held out on my first set of volume lashes for a really long time because I couldn't find anybody's work that I was just *in love* with until I saw Cheyenne's work, so I booked with her. Now I will never let anybody besides the lash genies touch my lashes! She was so meticulous and even spent an extra hour on top of my two hour appointment because she said I had a lot of lashes and she just did an extraordinary job. My lashes looked just like I'd hoped and my retention seemed almost too good to be true... by the time my fill appointment was due my lashes still looked like when I walked out their door the first time! I also really like the vibe in the building, very cute, clean and the staff make you feel like you've known them forever. I was expecting to pay well over 200$ for my full set (and would have been happy to for the quality of service I got) and was pleasantly surprised at how comparable their prices are to lash memberships I've seen- but with no contract. Lash 9-1-1 anyone? If so, you are looking in the right place!! I found Lash Genie in a desperate state of Lash Emergency. If you have ever been there, then you know I am not kidding when I write "desperate". I had only encountered excellence with a place that I went for over a year in my hometown, (back in the Bay Area)... but upon moving to Austin... I had the worst encounter that I could never have imagined possible. (IMPORTANT: NOT AT LASH GENIE). The Bad-Lashing (again, not at Lash Genie): Lashes glued on to my eyelids, stacked lashes too heavy for my own lashes to support, long black wiry things dragging against my glasses... the result: damaged, broken, missing, and tender lashes/lids. I was not going back to just any place with good reviews on yelp (Beware - that's how I found the last place)!!! I wanted stelar reviews, lots of em, and a place that knew what they were doing to my face! I sat staring Lash Genie's website, trying to discern if I really believed they knew what they were doing. As if, by looking at the pages longer I would see into the soul of the site and have an epiphany. After visiting over 15 sites, reading profiles and reviews, I decided Lash Genie was going to be the place I booked for a full set. (Not only did I need a full set, I needed help healing)! I took the risk, booked my appointment with Lash Genie, closed my eyes and hoped for a miracle! Thanks to Paisley (and I imagine anyone working there qualifies under the same banner of "wonderfully capable"), I got my miracle. With precision and genteelness, my few remaining, plastered on lash-tentacles were removed and replaced by an ample amount of light weight, beautiful lashes that would allow me to recover with dignity. Today was my second visit - (a good sign that I went back - hint hint!) The second time around, even better! Growing in fuller, my lashes were able to provide a base for what is beginning to look sexy and luscious once more! It's one thing to have a great looking set of lashes... it's even more exciting when the lash tech can take from nearly nothing but broken lashes, and safely create an image of fullness while building up what lay beneath. I imagine correcting is more challenging than doing it right the first time. Having been party to a lash rescue, I am confident in this on-going relationship with LG!! Now for some details: Location - Threw me just a bit (being new to town). Yes, your GPS isn't lying... pull into the gas station... there is a small shopping plaza in that driveway. Look for the sign in the window, enter the door (head downstairs and turn right)... I promise you will not be disappointed! Atmosphere - Ever enjoy hanging out with a few gals you really love being with, and wonder why you don't do it more often? Meet 'the room'. A few beds lined up, all with Lash Ladies, (like yourself), and Lash Experts (like Paisley), who can rest and quietly enjoy the fill, or kibitz about everything from foodie must-eats to favorite songs. Each personality is unique, but so necessary to creating that smile on your face that complements those new lashes, so nicely. Price point - CRAZY Reasonable!! You often pay for what you get - I happen to think the prices here are suited for "You better believe I'd pay that to look like this!!", without feeling like "I have to cut back on my coffee stops for the week :/ ". BONUS: So... I was originally just coming to get the lashes... but after such great experiences, I had to know what else this wonderland of beauty services provided. Ummm... I have never had my lashes done while someone massages my arms, but in less than one min of attention to my left arm, I was ready to give my right arm for a full body massage with Ericka! In a moment of unexpected attention, Ericka had me like putty in her hands while Paisley worked away on my lashes. Oh the combo!!! (And that's not all this shop has to offer ... it's just the next one of my schedule for visit 3, and something worth mentioning). Yep, visit 3 will be a wondrous 1 hour massage, followed by a lash fill. Ask me: Do I feel guilty taking this much time out of my day - No! I don't think they're accustomed to African American clientele. Very nice, but I almost cried when I looked at my eyebrows that I paid $20 for and compared them to the $11 brow arch that I recently got in Atlanta. When I leave Henry at The Nail shop in Atlanta, I can't stay out of the mirror and people frequently ask where did I get my brows arched. Again, very nice, but brow arching doesn't appear to be their expertise. I should have taken the young ladies response to my question as a hint..."I know you do lashes, but do you arch as well?"..
