Yelp's "Not good" is putting it way too mildly. There is a constant shuffle of employees who are not very well trained coming through the doors. So when I have wanted to book with a good nurse again, I have often been told the nurse is no longer with their office. The revolving door of managers, nurses, and receptionists do not help their poor management of client records. I participated in a few of their in-store seasonal promos and the front desk staff here verbally confirmed that they had added to my account with 2 complimentary facials for my participation, and that I would be good to use them at any time as per their overall highly-visible and marketed "no expiration" company policy. The staff never gave me any receipt nor written terms, nor did I know to ask since I greenly assumed they would be trustworthy and would have no reason to lie or shortchange me. Which then led LaserAway to deny me the facials rather than take accountability for their poor management and lack of training of staff who apparently were supposed to have responded differently by providing a receipt to me. When I tried to clear up the matter with the West Hollywood office where the staff I had fulfilled the promo deal with were based, none of the (all-new) staff were knowledgeable or helpful to figure out what their predecessors had supposedly done for my account. However, for the past few months I've been going to the West Hollywood and Beverly Hills locations and the contrast is startling. I went to laseraway 3 months after getting Botox for the first time ever because I thought you just had to keep up with it. The nurse was amazing and told me I was nowhere near ready yet and to come back in a few months. This made me feel amazing about their company because it didn't seem pushy! I had put down $55 to secure the Apt and they assured me I could use it any time, it doesn't expire. I came back today because I was definitely ready for some more Botox. The nurse was lovely- gave me breaks and chose an appropriate amount of units. My major issue is with the lady running the front desk. She was so pushy right off the bat to have me put down a large sum of money for a Botox bank. I said no and she made a face and told me that it would be way cheaper to get one. I asked her to explain what it was because she was pushing it without telling me what it entails. I did some mental math and realized it would only save me $1 per unit. I make more in interest by keeping it in my bank account and it's the holidays so money is tight. She kept saying she had never heard of putting down money before the Apt, and thankfully someone else was there and told her it was typical when booking, so I didn't end up losing the $55 I originally put down. She was incredibly rude, pushy, and judgy- all to get shame/trick people into spending more money. It's a shame that LaserAway lets adult bullies be the face of their shops to try and earn more. Their nurses are smart, lovely & good at their jobs. This woman turned me off of this office. I will try the Beverly Hills office next time in hopes of having a better experience. I am writing this message to file a complain towards a specific employee of laseraway in West Hollywood. This employees name is Paula. I have been serviced by Paula on multiple occasions and have left feeling very unhappy with my service. I did mention to the front desk that I would like to not be put with her for my future services. For today's appointment I was the one who changed my appointment so therefore I was placed with Paula again. I was not ecstatic about the situation, but I was the one who changed my appointment so I went with it. Unfortunately, today (2/26/24) specifically was the last straw I had with Paula and the service I was provided. To list things out: How does one forget to provide the protective glasses to the client that is getting a laser treatment? Isn't this the basics that providers are taught literally saw sparks flying from the laser and my skin was literally on fire, then I asked her if we don't need to wear the glasses? Then she said to me, "oh yeah thanks for reminding me". I don't usually wear glasses..... in any shape or form, is this OK? Also, I don't know if it's customary to disinfect the area before you start doing a tattoo removal but that was not done for me and I had this done for me before in the past with victoria and the other provider I had. If this is not usually in the protocol, I understand but today's appointment one of my tattoos that were being removed bled a lot. This is the first time my tattoo has bled but I understand if this is normal while you progress into the process of removal. Please let me know if this is normal. It seems to me that Paula has no real consideration for her clients, or even care for their comfortability.
