This review is 3 years in the making. I began going to Dr. Laser to treat the back of my neck and purchased a large package, knowing it would take time to see results. Over the years, I kept going back, and unfortunately, this place is as bad as it gets. It's a revolving door of staff, you'll almost never see the same practitioner twice. The treatments/settings they do are never consistent as they all have different opinions on which setting you should be at. But what is the worst of all is that they are incapable of properly overlapping the laser so that the entire area is treated. 90% of the time I would need to go back a week later because there would be so many crescent moon shaped patches of hair they missed. The final straw was when I went in for front of neck. I thought maybe I finally want to try this. I regret doing this at Dr. Laser so much. The image I attached is a week after the first session. I think it speaks for itself, but when I went to follow up about it they gave me the same spiel they always do "your hair is in different phases of its growth cycle, this is normal." I really hate giving a company a negative review, but I truly believe its important that this place not be in business. read more

DO NOT GET ScAMMED. DESTROYED MY FACE. Worst customer service experience ever. I bought a pack of laser hair removal sessions with Dorothy over phone. She sounded super professional and knowledgeable on talking about their machines etc. Then on first session I got upSold on facIAL microneedling. I have had microneedling TWICE up the street at plastic surgeon dr Gary Motkyie office. They were more expensive by $150 and dr laser offered Prp so I figured give it a shot. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER THEN TO LEAVE MY FACE IN THR HANDS OF A MED SPA. Ive never had a worse recovery from facial microneedling. Filler in upper cheek got dissolved and migrated down so I now have chipmunk cheeks, the practicioner Lexi was super aggressive and did my under eye. ---neither of the other two times did they touch my underye---and I now have dark marks like ive been punched in the face there. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. I also had been upsold for body microneedling and pre paid $825 and have been emailing with a manager named Kacie who has played phone tag, is never at the phone, im constantly told to email her. My first email went out Dec 19 requested a refund for this as they destroyed my face I dont want them touching my body. And it is now Jan 9 and still no resolution. They are ignoring, not responding. Absolute disgrace and embarrassment to the beauty and esthetics industry. This place is a chain and a total chop shop. They have my prepaid full amount of $1200 for laser hair removal and 2 sessions done in a faulty machine. And now $825 prepaid in body mivroneesling that I cant get a refund for because no one will respond. And I have the damage control to deal with on my face. Re laser hair removal: I have 2 laser hair removal sessions on leg and bikini. The first nurse was a sweetheart. I wish I remembered her name. However the machine was faulty. Kept glitching (turning off mid session, she kept having to turn it back on and re calibrate). That said I "felt" it. The slight rubber band snap. The second session I had Lexi ---the same practicioner that did facial.microneedling with zero bedside manner----who when I told her I felt literally nothing--dismissed me saying "I upped your levels maybe its the cooling". I responded rhe first girl also used cooling and im concerned this isn't going to work in number of sessions you all sold me. Dorothy swore the 8 should be enough. Separate issue but my hair re growth is as faat and furious as it was before the two sessions. Go elsewhere read more

Would give no stars if I could-- BEWARE! Scam! Dr Laser forces you to buy a package of LTR in order to book a consultation. If you have an experience like me, you'll show up to find that they don't even have your appointment on the books. The staff will try to upsell you in their dark and dingy office, all while trying to explain why they can't "squeeze you in" even though you had a confirmed appointment. I have tried to resolve this amicably but have been really disgusted by the customer service here. If you are considering coming here for laser hair removal I would strongly urge you to STAY AWAY from this business and find a more reputable and professional business to go to as their management is uncaring and completely incompetent and their laser machine is faulty. They are only driven by money and nothing else and they completely SCAMMED ME forcing me to have to have to report their business and their medical director to the state. My experience below: I booked a package deal of laser hair removal twice with this business. I get pretty bad ingrown hairs on my face and it was recommended I get laser hair removal to thin the hairs to avoid issues. This clinic in West Hollywood is close to my work and their schedule worked with mine so I decided to give them a shot. I completed the first round of treatments I was left very with visible unusual patches of hair on my face even though I was told that the number of sessions I booked should have been enough. Of course everyone is different so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and booked a 2nd round of treatments with them for the face and other areas of my body. In hindsight now it should have been obvious that they purposely undertreat you in order to keep charging you for more sessions but I didn't really think a company could be this unethical. LESSON LEARNED. I got "upsold" a package of 7 laser sessions on 4 areas of my body and was explicitly told that they never expire and would be in my account for me to use anytime. Unfortunately their laser machine this time kept malfunctioning. Either the machine would reset on its own, or the cooling component would just stop. The most frustrating thing was it obviously wasn't working after I had prepped / shaved and went all the way to their clinic. I understand things happen but if you only have one laser machine in your office wouldn't you make sure its functioning and calibrated? I felt bad because their technician was very sweet and so embarrassed that the machine wasn't working. I notified the front desk person that I paid for these sessions but the machine wasn't working and that I saw ZERO results from the treatment. She then proceeds to tell me that I owe them money laser treatments and that I OWE THEM $320 FOR THAT DAYS TREATMENTS AND THAT THEY MADE A MISTAKE AND UNDERCHARGED ME AND I OWE THEM FOR PREVIOUS TREATMENTS. So not only are they charging me for ineffectual treatments they are claiming they misquoted me and I owe them more money. YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS UP. Completely bananas. Of course she couldn't provide me any receipt or proof of what I paid for and just kept saying I needed to email the manager Kacie Schweikhardt who ended up being literally the most incompetent uncaring and useless manager any business could employ. She must be a relative or friend of the owner because she couldn't do one single thing to address my concerns. Weeks of back and forth via email because they refuse to give me a phone number and still NO RESOLUTION. I asked if they would honor the package that I was sold for $920 which was 7 sessions over 4 areas and she kept repeating they have a No refund policy. Ok, I'm not even asking for a refund for the "sessions" where the machine didn't work but if they're going to honor WHAT I PAID FOR or not? You can make up the sessions once you fix / calibrate your machine. If you're going to charge my chard then either give me what we agreed on or if you don't want to because your associate screwed up then refund me. It's pretty simple but apparently too complicated for this "manager" who just kept repeating they do not give any refunds for any reason whatsoever but if I wanted I could go to their Santa Monica location since their West Hollywood location machine wasn't working. Excuse me? I only picked West Hollywood because of location I cannot leave my job and spend 2 hours commuting because your business can't get its act together. Completely ridiculous. More frustratingly they are refusing to provide me any sort of receipt, treatment agreement or my medical records despite requesting them several times. They will not disclose the type of machine or the settings or when it was last calibrated (or they do not know). So now I have to file a HIPPA grievance with the state to force them to release to me my own treatment records. Completely uncaring and incompetent management. Really a shame . STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. Sadly they have left me no choice but to report them to the better business bureau and will be reporting them to the state for unethical business practices among other things. read more

Tattoo Removal: OLDER TATTOOS ARE NOT HARDER TO REMOVE!!! I came here with a Groupon for three sessions of laser tattoo removal. When I arrived for my first session, I was first greeted by a salesperson at the front desk. She asked me a few questions about the tattoo. "Where is it? ... How big is it? ... How old is it?" When I told her how old it was (20 years old), she winced and said, "Oooh, yeah. The older a tattoo is, the harder it is to remove." That is a complete lie. I had already done research and talked to people. For your own edification, your body is constantly trying to remove your tattoos. That's why they fade. It's a foreign substance that your blood tries to dispose of gradually by carrying fragments of pigment away from the sight over years and years. In tattoo removal, high-intensity break up the pigment and make it easier for your body to get rid of much much much quicker. It is actually the opposite that's true. The older a tattoo is, the easier it is to remove (by a lot). But, she used that misinformation to try to sell me on a package deal to "save me money". I had already paid for the service so I went ahead with the treatments. But as soon as that Groupon was exhausted, I chose another place. When I showed them the before picture, they couldn't believe I had had three treatments. The new place I went also recommended that I wait 12 weeks between treatments. The longer you wait between treatments, the more time your body has to help fade the tattoo. dr LASER had me come back after FIVE weeks. A few weeks ago, I was randomly talking who was having a tattoo removed. He said it was taking a really long time, but that it was because it was an older tattoo and older tattoos take longer to remove. I asked if he was going to dr LASER, and sure enough. He got the same spiel. So, they're obviously still selling that same lie. It really bothers me when people lie to your face about information that is readily available. read more
