The revolving door of managers, nurses, and receptionists do not help their poor management of client records. I participated in a few of their in-store seasonal promos and the front desk staff here verbally confirmed that they had added to my account with 2 complimentary facials for my participation, and that I would be good to use them at any time as per their overall highly-visible and marketed "no expiration" company policy. The staff never gave me any receipt nor written terms, nor did I know to ask since I greenly assumed they would be trustworthy and would have no reason to lie or shortchange me. Which then led LaserAway to deny me the facials rather than take accountability for their poor management and lack of training of staff who apparently were supposed to have responded differently by providing a receipt to me. When I tried to clear up the matter with the West Hollywood office where the staff I had fulfilled the promo deal with were based, none of the (all-new) staff were knowledgeable or helpful to figure out what their predecessors had supposedly done for my account. This experience has only shown me that their promos or offers are not legitamitely worth participating in since it is near impossible to redeem and they cannot be accountable to their word.

Beverly Hills is the same LaserAway office that sold me years ago on tons…read moreof "no expiration" packages to beat inflation etc., then later criticized me for not using my packages more timely and tried to rip me off, claiming I had nothing left in my account, and on top of that disrespectfully wasting my time by not providing me advance notice that my appointment had been canceled by them--- just a couple hours prior to the time of my appointment when I had already left for the day and was on my way; ironic, since they require 24 hrs advance notice from a client to cancel an appointment without penalty. I then sat around in the waiting room while Giau said she would look into it, only to then be told after waiting another half-hour that I wouldn't be able to be seen or have my issue looked into. Rather than take responsibility for their disorganization and unknowledeable personnel, they just point the finger from one employee to the next and send the client on a wild goose chase with no end. The manager TK claimed he would help me with my account and had scheduled me for that appointment, but later was evasive and refused to help get to the bottom of their errors, saying I would get a call back later in the day, but never calling back, then saying Giau was working on my case and would contact me that afternoon (that never happened). I was told other times by staff that Giau would call me right back the same day or the next day, only to find out later that she was on vacation for the whole week; how is it that their staff does not know when each other is on leave!? Turns out after much back and forth that they had to admit to having erroneously closed my account and had proof in their system the entire time that I had multiple services remaining, but instead of owning up to the gross error, tried to put the blame on me for not having finished the package sooner despite their "no expiration" policy. Seems the policy is just a false promise and ruse to get one to buy more, for since then I have read similar reports from other clients of their accounts being closed and being denied prepaid services because of errors committed by LaserAway.

As a note, when I get gel-x at Ibiza Nails in WeHo, or Nail'd It in Glendale or Pasadena - those aprex gel-x last me 4-6 weeks, even when I was moving and opening boxes. My experience with Dr Refresh was utterly appalling. The owner not only provided horrible service but also resorted to gaslighting when I voiced my concerns. Instead of addressing the issues, they blamed me for problems that were clearly their fault, making me question my own experience. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. The ambiance during my hydra facial which was done by Amy, was super relaxing and she was very informative of all the amazing products the spa provides sells and uses in house as she applied them to my skin step by step. I arrived on time and was left waiting for almost 50 minutes, only for my appointment to suddenly be CANCELLED . The explanation I was given was honestly shocking. I was told I could not receive the laser facial because my moisturizer "contains acids" (which actually don't) and that I would need to wait TWO WEEKS before being treated. The cream in question is a basic barrier repair moisturizer containing ingredients like hyaluronic acid and fatty acids, common hydrating and skin barrier ingredients found in countless moisturizers, including products often recommended after cosmetic procedures and laser treatments. Calling these ingredients "unsafe acids" showed a very concerning LACK OF EDUCATION and professionalism from someone performing cosmetic laser treatments! And if this truly is their policy, then clients should absolutely be warned BEFORE the appointment that they must stop using products containing hyaluronic acid or similar ingredients for two weeks. Most skincare products and moisturizers today contain these ingredients, so this is not some unusual or rare situation. None of this was mentioned while booking, during confirmation, or even while I sat there waiting almost an hour. The entire situation felt extremely disorganized and honestly more like an excuse for running behind schedule than a legitimate medical concern. There are many professional laser clinics in Los Angeles, and unfortunately this location did not inspire confidence, professionalism, or trust. I will definitely not be returning.
