Purchased a hair laser removal package "Memorial Day sale". It cost me $3900 for 8 sessions. I went ahead and trusted the sales woman that only 8 sessions is needed. ABSOLUTELY NOT! It's been a year this June and barely see a difference!!!! Staff is nice. Every time I went I did mention I haven't been seeing results as I was promised. YES THIS WAS A WASTE OF MONEY. I came for treatments, not a personality test. 3/ And the Botox? Yeah... completely ineffective. I was promised results, but nothing. Nada. Zero. Because it sure feels like it. 5/ Consumer alert: if you're going here, document everything. Save receipts, take screenshots of your credits, and maybe bring a friend for moral support. I hate to say this, but please be cautious if you're considering CoolSculpting. I had the procedure done here at the end of 2022, and I believe I developed PAH (Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia). At the time, there wasn't much discussion about this potential side effect like there is now. If I had known then what I know now, I would have never gone through with it. All I know is what my stomach looks like now--which is exactly how it looked a couple weeks after the procedure--is worse than when I went in. If it's not PAH, then I don't know what happened. You can even see the bottom line where the machine was applied. They say the chances are low, but I truly believe it happened to me--and it's incredibly frustrating, especially after spending so much money and having to see the results every day. That said, the staff at this location were great. The space was clean, professional, and well-maintained. I'd still recommend them for other services--just be very informed and cautious when it comes to CoolSculpting. read more

Very nice staff. But I waited in a very hot room for over an hour. Then I was told that my face and what I wanted was going to be over $400.00 more that I was told during my long phone call prior to setting up the appt I paid $200.00 it was going to be over $1,000 for the cost of botox. Then they switch the botox to 30 units of xeomin for my discomfort during my time there. It's a good place but please get it in writing via email what exactly the cost and more importantly what you want done at that price you saw in their advertisements read more

I came to my appointment on time after speaking with a customer service representative earlier in the day. They told me the wrong time and then blamed me for missing my appointment. They then became extremely abrasive and said they did not have time for me or any questions. Yet, no person was in the facility. When I tried to ask another person a basic question, the same abrasive customer service told me I was not allowed to talk to anyone? I actually feared for my safety. I then asked for the card or information for a manager, which they refused to give. I have never been treated so abusively by anyone. I will never recommend Laser Away to anyone! read more

Botox - they will give you a range as an estimate, make you buy the top range ahead of the appointment and they will use all units - application was OK- I did get bruised but nothing insane. I'll report back on results next week - payment is more than complicated. I started my laseraway treatment for my underarms in Burlingame, CA and moved in New York in middle so I had started to come to the Upper West Side location to finish my treatment. I liked my experience here at the UWS much more than in Burlingame! The ladies at the front desk here were so welcoming and bubbly. They were happy to chat with me and give me lots of food recommendations since I was new to New York. This was the kind of fun and friendly atmosphere that I had expected at the Burlingame location since the sales representative that helped me decide to start my treatment at laseraway told me to expect friendly and chatty staff (which was clearly not my experience at the Burlingame location lol). All I have to say about this is the same as usual... EMMA IS AN ARTIST. Honestly, If anyone wants their lips done, ask for her or find a way to book with her (she's now only per booking, but I'm glad she'll be only a text or email away from me to have her) On top of helping you feel as comfortable as you can be, and listening to your every concerns, she remembers all the work she's done on you and the concerns you always have without you having to remind her. I myself have a scar on my lip and every year I come to her to camouflage it with fillers, and time and time again she sculpts my lips to perfection. I'm always constantly getting compliments on how full and shaped my lips are and I always happily say I have fillers and get my lips done "by Emma at LaserAway on the UWS'' On my last visit, I had mentioned how there's a LaserAway in my new neighborhood of Astoria, Emma jokingly said they'll be taking me away from her. I have requested a refund and stop payment on my Universal Account Servicing for Laseraway Med Spa. I have sent three emails so far yet no one is willing to reach out to me from corporate. My services were falsely advertised for tattoo removal as I was guaranteed the process would remove my tattoo, but this statement was retracted after I signed up for Universal Account Servicing monthly payments and received a few of my treatments. I was then told the services provided may not remove my tattoo as promised after a handful of sessions. With that I also had another doctor take a look and do a test tattoo removal treatment. One treatment from him did more than 9 seasons of coming to Laseraway. Thus, the agreement I entered into was false advertising and I want my contract terminated. I was told I have 10-12 treatments to do and now Laseraway is telling me I did all my treatments. I have also requested my legal medical documents of treatments from Laseraway, which have not been sent and I am now considering this a legal matter. I have contacted the Board of Cosmetology to begin a case against laseraway and have a lawyer ready to begin the legal process if this contract with UAS and Laseraway is not terminated. I look forward to your resolution to this matter. read more

Not happy with the results. I purchase a package of 8 sessions at first I saw a difference but towards the end you don't really l see a huge difference at the end I still need to shave. I also did not like that fact that I couldn't rebook the same nurse for the next session. The incident that made me request my refund on the maintenance package I had purchased was when the store manager gave me attitude "what do you want to do?" And rolled her eyes while another client was present. I was expressing my frustration of my appointment not showing on the system. She stated, "it was a glitch on the system, what do you want to do?" This review is long over due. I forget how many appointments I had (maybe 10? More or less). Each technician who worked with me was great except for one. I don't know if she's working at this location still and I won't say her name here but the experience I had with her was....strange to say the least. I found her unprofessional as she pointed out some of my scars and asked "Did your cat do that?" They are quite obviously not scars inflicted by a cat. The comment caught me off guard and I kinda laughed it off and was honest with her about what they were. Coming from a professional, and a trained nurse at that, I found the inquisition unsettling and upsetting. Like I said, every other technician was great but do they go through some sort of sensitivity training? I'm giving 4 stars because I found this particular individual to be unprofessional. I've been coming to LaserAway (primarily this location and then one or two others) since 2013 or so and I've always had a positive experience. To date, I've gotten 4 areas of laser hair removal, 1 area of CoolSculpting, and 1 area of baby botox which is still ongoing to this day. In all these years, I have had only one instance where LaserAway double booked and forced me to reschedule my appointment. For botox, Vanessa is incredible with knowing exactly how many units you need to 1) create a subtle and natural difference but also 2) give you long-lasting results. My treatments typically last 4 months before I need another session. LaserAway is professional, knowledgeable, and flexible with schedules to accommodate the fact that we have to return for multiple sessions in order to get full results. They frequently have promotions for different services so definitely give them a call and see what special deals going on! One pro tip: try to always schedule your next session as soon as you finish one. They book up crazy fast (almost a month in advance) so snag that time slot. This is especially important if you're a CoolSculpting customer who needs a bigger block of time. read more
