I typically do not write bad reviews, because normally a business would apologize and the issue would be resolved, however, the way I was treated on 3/1/24 by CLEAPATRA, the front desk, was very unprofessional and concerning. I have been a returning customer for over 2 years buying multiple services. Clea was very unpleasant and far from professional. I had a C&B booked for a month now, and I was called 25 minutes before my appointment time by Clea, stating that they double-booked my appointment and could no longer accommodate me. I had stated I am already here; her response is that she had called the other client and they had already confirmed to come. I had confirmed a week before my appointment, two days before, and the day before; how was this not caught? I was also in the clinic 2 weeks prior for another treatment, and this was never brought up. I was on the phone with her at the time, and I asked to speak to the manager; she put me on a 5-minute hold and never talked to a manager. I went inside instead since I was 15 minutes before my appointment at this point. I asked her why this other 'client' was put before me, and Clea said that she had already confirmed with the other client that she was on her way, and because she called her first, therefore, she was given the slot. She did not offer accommodations, she did not apologize, she did not offer to book me at another site, which other Laseraway locations have offered me in the past (UES), and I was really appreciative. I stated I am here now, and the other 'client' never came. While discussing the appointment, she was smirking and not offering any solutions aside from cancellation. It was 4:52 pm at this point. She went into the backroom, came back to the front, and said, 'Take a seat we will call you in.' I was called in at 5 PM. Now I am questioning if there was a second client ever booked, if I was called in right at 5 PM. After my session was done, I stopped at the front desk. Clea did not acknowledge me nor apologize. I initiated the conversation as the front and asked if I could make the next appointment for the next month. Again, she did not acknowledge me, stayed silent, and did not attempt to make an appointment. Because there was a couple of minutes of silence, I said, 'It's okay, I will call and make the appointment.' I left feeling really uncomfortable, especially since I have spoken to her before in February, multiple times. I was never rude to her, and if there are cameras at the front desk with audio, they can listen to it. The manager that was supposedly called again for the issue never called me, so I am assuming she left me on hold and never called a manager. I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. I am assuming she wanted to leave early and wanted to cancel my appointment. Appointments here are very hard to get, which is why my appointment here was booked a month in advance. In the future, since scheduling is up to the clinic, don't book anyone at 5 pm if you may not want to stay after or want to leave early. read more

I heard about this specific location from a friend and I had been looking for a Botox spot for the past two years but always felt nervous. I made the trip from PA because of her recommendation and had to share my experience. As soon as I walked in the door Karen greater me as if I had known her for years. She gave me the rundown on how the entire appointment would go, and set me up with my pre screening. The front of house is so cute, and CLEAN. Karen guided me to my room where Athina greeted me at the door, It was so seamless. Athina took over and explained each step of what to expect, and asked me every necessary question (not overkill, but also enough to let me know she cares/knows what she's doing) Athina took into consideration that I live in PA, and wouldn't be able to come back for monthly or bi monthly touch ups, but also didn't want to look like a mannequin. My only issue was staying still as I had such a great time with Athina I kept laughing and talking. Athina informed me on all the aftercare notes, and then escorted me to the front where I was greeted again by my new best friend Karen. We talked about next appointments and even got a Valentines candy (something my husband didn't give me LOL) I can not rave about this experience enough, can't wait to bring my Philly friends with me for my Bday touch up!t read more

Since it's a corporate issue I am posting at all locations to try and save you your time and money. I'm incredibly disappointed with my experience at LaserAway. After spending around $3,000 on treatments for my legs, bikini, and underarms, completing every session in my package, and diligently following all the guidelines and aftercare instructions, I saw absolutely ZERO results. When I voiced my concerns the girls at the location were very kind and helpful, however, because the tech saw how much hair I still had, it has to be sent to corporate. Corporate reached out and instead of addressing the complete lack of outcome or offering any kind of solution, they tried to SELL me MORE packages!! What they don't tell you upfront is that their packages are designed to keep you coming back, making you believe that once you finish, you'll only need one or two "maintenance" sessions. It's clear they DO NOT guarantee results and don't stand behind their services, which is infuriating after such a large investment. The lack of transparency and care isn't worth spending another penny on this company. I would NOT recommend LaserAway for any of your laser hair removal needs. read more

Fantastic! All of the ​staff were VERY friendly! I switched locations since this one was closer to where I live, so I was unsure if I would be met with the same atmosphere as the other location. In fact, I felt more comfortable at the Astoria location. Kelly, who was my nurse for the recent session. Was extremely thorough, clean, and engaging during the treatment. She lasered at a good pace, with short breaks so I wasn't enduring one whole section. And since I am covered in a bunch of tattoos near the treated areas, she helped me cover them without covering up too much of the areas that needed to be treated. But not too little where my tattoos could've been exposed to the laser. Overall, although it was my 5th session. I've had 5 different nurses laser my body. And each did it a little differently (which makes me feel a bit concerned bc I want to make sure all areas are treated consistently each visit). I feel as though Kelly was the most thorough nurse. I have had facials all my life but they have always been the traditional kind, massage and a mask let dry rub it off apply something else let set take it off etc and i absolutely love them. My daughter got me a LaserAway clear & brilliant facial and i was skeptical but i tried it last week and wow was it different. They put on a numbing cream and 15 minutes later started the facial with a laser wand. It felt a little weird at first and wasn't really painful but took getting used to. It ended with a nice cold (from the refrigerator) face mask that felt heavenly. My face was red and patchy when i got up and i was asked to stay out of the sun and keep my face hydrated with some samples they gave me. a week later and all my friends are like what have you done your face looks great and i do feel great and my skin is so smooth. i'm saving up for another one soon :) Bina A read more

So I decided to get Laser done after so many years and I couldn't be any happier with the seevice I was provided. Rodeka provided exception customer service, was super friendly, funny, outgoing and she can get you to buy a house. She offered me water, coffee, I felt well taken care of. She's that good!!! I ended up adding more things to my package. Overall, everything being offered was a great promo! NOW, let's talk about Crystal the technician. I cannot believe that for one year I did not know Laser Away opened a location in my area!!!! I loved the Tribeca location but the commute to the city after work was a bit much and honestly I got lazy with maintaining my appointments. But this location is a game changer for me. The moment I walked in Sabrina and her coworker were so energetic and welcoming! oh wow!! at first I was very afraid to do laser hair removal due to reviews about it being very painful and can easily burn darker skin tones if the right type of machinery isn't used! BUT laserAway put me at ease about this. Geneva is awesome! I spoke to her on the phone for more than an hour on where I would like treated. she's very patient and friendly!!!! I had a great first experience here at LaserAway Astoria. staff at the front desk were super friendly, patient, and accommodating. Geneva answered all my questions with ease. Azemina, my nurse, made me feel extremely comfortable during my first ever botox appointment. I began to feel a bit lightheaded from neves after the procedure and she immediately assessed me and calmed me down. I went Laser Away in Astoria, Queens, NY for my first time today and I was not disappointment. The front desk agent, Gab was sp pleasant and welcoming from my entering to leaving the facility. My clinician, Val, was so reassuring and did a very great job when applying the laser treatments ensuring that I was comfortable throughout the procedure.
