Had Horrible experience at this place. Owner (I assumed he was owner at the counter), was talking with one of my female friend regarding deal. Suddenly I saw him really animated, so I went towards counter to check what happened and the first words I heard from him was "Tum saale Desi Cheap Log!!" (Basically calling us cheap). I was shocked to hear but I calmly asked him, "Excuse me, what happened?" He shouted at the top of his voice to me and directing towards my group, "Get out you Cheap Desis!!" with all the *swear* words you can think of in Indian language. Now this is limit for anybody. We asked him repeatedly to calm down and get handle on things. But he kept swearing and in no time owner challenged one of us to take these things outside to settle. It was really stupid to carry on things after that. Even if customer is demanding alternate ways to redeem deal there are other polite ways to deny it. I am not surprised why many people said in the reviews that Owner / STAFF is rude. One of the staff member tried to calm things down but it seems he hardly had any say in it since the other guy who was fighting with us was Owner / Manager. Owner / Manager really needs to get things together if he wants to run his Business well. I would highly recommend people to try some other place if you want to avoid such similar encounters in future at this place. read more

First off Adam the game attendent was awesome. I'm not the type of person to write bad reviews unless it is well deserved. My friend planned this evening for a bunch of us for Sunday evening because she lives in the area. We were a group of 9 so we split up into 2 teams. Nobody else was there so we got to play against each other. It was my first time and I'm sure a bunch of our friends first time as well. So we were super excited to get our scores to see which team won so that whoever had the high score would be the new team captians in our 2nd round and come to find out that we couldn't get our scores. We didn't know until the end of the game that one of our players vests was malfunctioned and he had to get a new one and because of that we couldn't get our scores. The owner or manager on duty didn't care and said it wasn't his problem that the vest was malfunctioned and there was nothing he could do because we played the whole game. I'm sure if there was some kind of announcement during the game we would have all stopped and started over so we would get our scores. Really the game isn't just to have fun its about competition too. I will say that this is the first and last time that I will be going to this establishment. read more

Been coming here for years. Always had a very good experience. Went in recently with my 12 year old daughter and her girlfriends for her birthday. The first time through it was just our group. For the 2nd round, they let a group of boys a little older come in with them. One of the boys in the group purposely tripped my son and injured him. Other boys in the group said disgusting sexual comments to the girls. Upon exiting, the kids told me what happened. I immediately went and told the manager what happened. I asked if they supervise the games as they go on, he said yes, but obviously they were not supervising that day. The manager did apologize and said that he was going to refund the boys money and not allow them to play their second round. I saw the manager have a conversation with the boys. I then left but my instincts told me to come back. I did come back only to see the manager let the boys stay and play their next round. My wife then called to complain and the manager admitted that he let the boys that we complained about continue on. We won't be back..... read more

Sam at Laser Tagging was extremely rude and unprofessional. My sons baseball team was having their year end party there and he displayed horrible customer service. We rented the room available and was told we only had one hour to use it from the time he turned on the lights. Although it was 7:30pm and the place closed at 9pm and no one else was there, he was yelling at us that we only had until 8:10 to use the room. The kids were there standing and watching as he tried to prove his point. I would not recommend this place. read more

I just held my son's 13th birthday party here with 20 boys and a few adults and everyone had a blast. We enjoyed two rounds of laser tag and the laser maze. OMG how fun this is!!! I would have never thought I'd find myself laser tagging. The staff was so friendly. I had no idea what I was doing. I got the hang of it half way through the 20 minute game. It's more fun the more gamers there are. After we all took a few turns in the laser maze - kind of a "mission: impossible" maze. You can watch on a monitor outside while people go through. My tip is to where white to be seen easier. They have video games and air hockey and a private room for birthday parties. Young or old, this is a guaranteed good time. This place is brand new -- and it shows, not in a good way. The place is essentially a barren office lobby, and it just breaks the feel of the game. The actual lazer tag: just a plywood maze with black lights (seriously, I got a splinter). Even the lazer guns are lame, they look and feel more like those cash register price guns. No one even has any idea who they are, because you don't get to choose your name: you get a number, and after the match you find out your name was "Venus" (or "Vader" or "Kicker" -- WTF?). And to top it off, while the management is friendly, the entire thing seems more like an office building when you first come in, with polished wood floors and men in suits and ties. Not a place for a birthday party. Recommendation? Stay away from this place, and head to Lazer Quest in Mountain View. It's a drive, sure, but the place is slick, the guns feel more real, and the maze itself has gratings, hiding spots, and literal smoke and mirrors, in addition to a second floor that blows this crappy place out of the water. On top of that, it's fun and is easy to get immersed in. Go to Lazer Quest, and your child will thank me later. I wish my parents had. read more

Took my son and his two friends down today to check it out and they played two games. They absolutely loved it. The owner, Kevin, is very friendly and the place is clean. We had a tour of the maze and laser tagging area a couple of days ago when it was empty and the laser tagging area is huge - also double story with lots of corridors and corners. I want to give 5 star review for two instances which made us feel so good.. Okay so I have two toddlers and they could not reach one of the arcade games table - height wise. I do not know what you call it, there is a flat disc that one shuttles between the two ends of a smooth table and one can goal. Anyways since they could not reach the height, we placed the two kids on the table on the two ends and they played a game sitting on the table. Now I am sure other places would have asked us to get off but they did not. That WAS so awesome. I really appreciate their support Second, there was a birthday party from 3 to 5 but they did not force or kick the birthday people out at sharp 5, like other places do. The birthday people were there till 6 and there were no issues from management. Very good service. read more

Had a birthday party for my daughter here. All the staff are professional and accommodating. A few of our guests were late so we couldn't start playing as planned and therefore we were in our party room a little longer than planned. Also a few guests left a few minutes early before we played the final maze so they allowed they remaining guests to go thru the maze twice. I thought that was very thoughtful. :) I thought the price was a tiny bit high, but after all was said and done I do have to say that it was well worth it. My daughter had a wonderful birthday. We highly recommend Laser Tagging Inc in Newark, CA. This place is guaranteed to entertain your children the best ways possible. We have had a couple parties here for end of soccer season and recently a birthday for our ten year old girl. The staff here is awesome and always on hand to answer questions and to help the party to run smoothly. The laser tag experience is the best around and kids come out excited and well exercised too. It's pretty basic, I've never been to any other places to compare but it has adequate amount of space and with the right people it will be fun regardless. They have ramps and enough walls to hide behind although I don't suggest you run in the ramps , ran into walls a couple times with the bruises to prove for it.. Good venue for grade school kid parties - my kids have "graduated" from bounce gyms and its nice to have this as option. Came here for another kid's party and there was a private room for the pizza and cake party, but not a private time slot for laser tag. I guess you have to pay more? My kids got creamed by older kids in laser tag. A private time slot would have been ideal. read more

What a hidden gem! I didn't even know this place existed even after driving around the area daily until a friend invited us. When you walk in there is a good sized arcade to keep you busy while you wait for your game(s) to start. Wednesday night special was $5 a game after 5pm so we purchased 3 games. The first one was a free for all with strangers and the second was team. Both were really fun. We ended up leaving early and the guy working there was considerate and understanding. He was really helpful and funny while setting us up. Highly recommended laser tag arena! read more

Can't say enough about how positive the entire experience was. We booked our son's 8th birthday party here which took place on a Saturday morning in March at around 11:00am. We booked a month in advance to ensure that we could secure our date. Worked out fine. Gill and another man were our primary points of contact up until the actual day of our event. Prior to the event, Gill and the other man were able to clearly address any and all questions/concerns I asked them over the course of a few phone calls. Everything was very simple and well organized come the day of the event. Our party organizer was great (and I am so sorry for forgetting his name at this moment in time), and helpful in rounding up the children, and ultimately, keeping everything on track so that we could move through the time we were there smoothly. The pizza was okay and made in-house...overall it was flavorful and full of toppings. Adults and kids alike enjoyed it. As in most cases, the kids could've cared less how the pizza tasted because they wanted to keep playing! Prior to entering the laser tag, thorough instructions were provided as the kids were suiting up into their gear. Upon entering the maze, one of the kids was a bit intimidated by everything and wanted to exit. An employee was inside the laser tag area the entire time and escorted him outside. This was handled very well. The second part of our party entailed the the laser maze...which is way too cool. The kids really enjoyed being able to go through the maze twice and try to better their first score and also compete with the others. All of our guests seems to enjoy themselves thoroughly and I would definitely recommend them to anyone with lots of energetic children who have never experienced this before. Staff is extremely friendly and does a good job quickly working us into games (which are otherwise dominated by birthday party groups). I went here today with a bunch of my old co-workers and we all loved it! We were kind of iffy on playing 3 games of laser tag, because it is pretty pricey for 15 minutes of running around shooting each other. Per person playing, it is $9.99 for 15 minutes, but my group got $20.00 for 3 15-minute games. I liked the laser tag facility- it was huge, and I really wasn't expecting anything too fancy, but it was great. 15 minutes is definitely a good amount of time for each game. By the end of it, everyone ends up so sweaty. What's cool is that they print you out your stats so you know which players you hit most, which players hit you most, your accuracy, and the amount of times you've been hit. It was a fun workout, and I for sure want to try the maze next time I'm here. read more

Had a party there guy was and hour late had our party waiting in a semi empty lobby with all our guest, tried switching the room we chose when we booked 2 months in advance!!!!!! Promised us an extra games then tried charging us extra... Not to mention Rushed us out of the party room and told then next party WE were running late did not say anything too them about walking in the room saying rude comments, and still charged us for extra time. This past Saturday was my son's 9th birthday party at Laser Tagging. Both the Birthday Boy and his parents (us) give Laser Tagging a 5 star rating. The kid's review: I interviewed my son about his experience. His very first word was "Awesome!" I asked him what was awesome; he immediately replied, "The game play." I asked him to elaborate and he gladly did so: "There were lots of places to hide, snipe, shoot, and make good alliances. It was a blast!" I thought he was done, but a few minutes later he added: "Mom, there's one word that is all you need to describe it: EPIC." The parents' review: En route to the venue, about 30 min away, we got into a car accident on the freeway. While dealing with the aftermath of the accident we called Laser Taggng several times to let them know our status. Their response was always, "Don't worry, just let us know how we can help." By the time we finally found a replacement driver and car to get the kids to Newark it was way past our scheduled time. Still, the staff said that we should come and they would take care of it. Take care they certainly did! The party guests ended up being over an hour late but the staff, Drew and Kevin, still made my son's party happen, and helped out in every way. They even conveyed messages between me and my husband when I couldn't reach him on his cell! Oh, and my husband also reported that the laser tag itself was "super fun!" I had my son's 10th birthday party on a Saturday evening. I acknowledge that this is place is still starting up and that the owners still have a few bugs to work out. However, we had a great time there. The owners/staff are very nice people and only aimed to please. They were always checking to make sure that our party was going smoothly. Also, they were much more flexible with timing for the laser tag/maze games than at Laser Quest in Mountain View. The laser maze game is cool. My son and his friends loved it and wished they could just keep on going. Heck, I'm (barely) over 40 myself and I thought it was cool. (I could almost hear the Mission Impossible theme going on in my head.) Lastly, you can't beat the price. I believe they're trying to drum up business, so if you buy one game, they charge you 50% for the second one. Also, they were offering a 2 for 1 on the laser maze. My son and his cousins/friends walked out of there with smiles, and I walked out of there with money still left in the bank! read more

Thank you Kevin and Drew for the great service! I'm giving them a 4.5 because of my complicated requests and how well they have accommodated our party. Still a few things to better the place, but overall a good experience and would most likely return for more fun and games. First of all, our party was set up for a Monday from 7-9. When we first planned it, we didn't realize that the Giants would be playing game 7 that day. So instead of cancelling, Kevin offered to accommodate us. He made sure his tvs would play the game, he let me order extra pizza, they provided the clean up, all the plates, utensils, drinks, and worked with us timewise. Both Drew and Kevin always checked up on us. Whenever I needed something, either of them would immediately grab it for us, no hesitation whatsoever. The place has hardwood flooring and is clean, more of a modern feel. As for previous bad reviews, I was hesitant at first, but it seemed that they have really stepped up their customer service. There were complaints before about vests not working but they emphasized to us that if our vests were blinking, it doesn't work and to come back and get a new one. My complaints (more like constructive criticism, hoping that it can help improve the place, because it is nice having a decent laser tag arena in the East Bay). I was debating on Laser Quest vs. this location and they both have their pros and cons. I think if Laser Tagging Inc made it so instead of having numbers on our score cards but rather our code names like how they do at Laser Quest, it would be an easy choice. My favorite part about playing is finding out who shot you the most or who you shot the most, and with numbers, you really don't know who is who. Cost is okay. Just make sure that when you reserve your party, that that is what you are booking and you can't change it after that (miscommunication, I thought we would figure it out the day of but he said he booked me for 2 games, which I asked if it was an option but I knew not everyone would play two games, so I didn't confirm it..it still worked out but I kinda forced everyone to play twice). If you say two games for ## people, stick to it, but I'm sure going for a more expensive package or more players won't be an issue. Their arena is very spacious and open but there isn't much hiding spots. We had 20 people playing and it is hard for me to imagine having more people play. I think any more people would make it less fun because then you would constantly run into players. It was still a decent size for our party. So maybe more walls to hide behind? Fun place for a youth B day party. Had our sons here along with 15 kids and adults. Ordered pizza to be delivered, brought in a doughnut tower for a cake as my kid isn't a fan of frosting. We hosted our son's 10th birthday over the weekend and everyone had a great time! We were allowed to arrive a half hour before the party to set-up, decorate the room, and prep for the guest's arrival. Considering it was it was super busy on Saturday afternoon, Kevin and his crew made sure to check in on us and were always attentive to our needs. They were very easy to work with. They helped guide the timing of all the activities from the first game, to eating pizza, to playing the second game, and finishing off with the birthday cake. Each laser tag session lasted roughly about 15 minutes with 5-10 minutes in the beginning for instructions and to gear up. The kids came out sweaty and excited from the first game and were ready to run back in for the second session. Had a blast here - affordable rates, the arena is a two-story shooting gallery with open walkways, makes for very interesting shooting matches across and from above and below. The light gun is modeled after the phasers in Star Trek, instead of your "traditional" gun (think handle in front, not in back). Once in a while some shots won't register and that seems to be the case across all laser tagging places...you take what you can get. read more
