The food was not good. The ambience was not good and they had one server who spoke little English which is fine but someone has to be able to speak English. There were two other people eating in the place and I saw two people come in for carry out and this location has been at that corner for years.... Always wanted to try .... The parking lot was empty that was the first sign... ordered nachos.....Asked my husband where was the cheese? I ordered with ground beef it's easier to eat but I also ordered a steak burrito to share with my husband and I swear it was the same meat. When I was served my chilaquiles, the presentation was great. As I started to dig in I noticed how stale the corn tortillas were as well with the chilaquiles. I couldn't even finish the huge portion. If you're not familiar, think Italian beef sandwich only this is a Mexican style French baguette with shredded carnitas "drowned" sandwich That's because the sandwich is submerged totally or partially in a sauce consisting of vinegar, cumin, and a dried chili pepper called chile de árbol. Absolutely the worst place I've ever been to the service was awful and they still had audacity to add a $20 gratuity to the bill like you absolutely did not do any service but bring out food, when we needed anything we would have to get up and get there attention. I came to get pizza next door and I thought I would give them a try. The food is good, sadly not great. Today I went in for their Taco Tuesday menu with tacos being $2. Sadly, even though it's still advertised on their inside menu board they made a decision to not have "Taco Tuesdays" anymore. I pointed it out to the waitress that it's still on their over head menu board. Obviously not her fault but it didn't start the meal off well. The experience became awkward. I sat down already and was given chips and salsa. After not having Taco Tuesday anymore I felt was kind of forced into getting their burrito at $7.50. A tad bit pricey for the food received. Mind you I have paid $14 for an AMAZING burrito before but this was definitely a smaller sized burrito for a grander price. Sad because I would have loved to write this place up and give them a great review. I can't justify that. So, good (not great) food. Small portions for the price and, sadly, a bad personal experience that made me rate the place lower than I wanted to. Tiny joint but huge servings. Very friendly people and fast service. Got the chicken enchiladas and the plate was covered. Great flavor, chicken was moist and the red sauce is awesome. My only complaint is that they said they don't normally do separate checks. I was with a work associate and we pay our own way. I've noticed this at several other restaurants around the area. I made a order for my office of $200 and when the order was placed the restaurant said the order will be ready in 15-20 min. We went to pick up the order at the time given and waited a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes for my order. This is a unbelievable that my staff are not going to be eating due to the inconvenience estimated time that was given to us. We are essential workers and with the pandemic going on this is horrible service. I do not appreciate it. They said that they were going to give us a free can of pop and they actually charged us that "free can" to our order. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I was there today. I ordered a steak burrito suizo, chicken burrito and two chicken tacos to go. The burrito suizo was for me and the chicken burrito and tacos was for someone else. I took my friend their food at ANOTHER home When I arrived home I was looking forward to eating my "steak burrito suizo" (I have had them before from here and really enjoyed them). When I cut into my "steak burrito suizo"......it was chicken NOT the steak that I ordered. (I don't eat chicken). I contacted the establishment and was told "the cook said he made a chicken and steak burrito but couldn't remember which one was a suizo". I was telling her that he made the wrong one a suizo. She wasn't able to offer a resolution and said she would call the manager and call me back. Daisy (the person I spoke to) didn't call me back so I called back. I was told that Daisy had left for the day. The lady I spoke to stated "the cook said he made a steak burrito suizo and a chicken burrito". Something totally different from what Daisy said the cook said. The lady I was speaking to then told me to call back in twenty minutes to talk to the manager. She refused to provide her name. I received a call from "the cook" about ten minutes later. He stated that he made the order correct. I informed him that it wasn't and that I wouldn't be calling if the order was correct. He stated that he would make me a steak burrito suizo if he see that I was given a chicken burrito suizo. Another stipulation was that I had to bring it back today and TODAY ONLY. Told him that my schedule does not permit me to go back to the establishment today but would be able to do it later in the week. He stated that if I couldn't bring it back TODAY there would be NO refund or exchange and was adamant about that. This is not about the money for the burrito. Have you ever had your tastebuds set for something and you get home and you don't have what you ordered. Ive been going all around oak lawn trying the different Mexican restaurants and I hit Las Picosas today. I walked in and the music is blaring lol. I did not enjoy that. But the girl taking my order was a sweetheart and I got a burrito and 2 tacos. The tacos- holy hell theyre good. Their pastor is incredible I wish I got more. The burrito, perfectly rolled and they were not cheap. I loved it. The salsa- This was tdisappointing because I wanted the hottest salsa in the world and they claim theirs is very spicy. It was little heat but DAMN it tasted good. I literally drank it from the cup when I had no more food. All in all I liked this place a lot. I wish the salsa was as hot as they advertise, though :(. Awful!! My first time at this restaurant; I ordered chilaquiles to go and they are the most dry and sorry looking chilaquiles I've ever had. They come with beans, rice and egg. The rice was super dried as well. I ordered extra sour cream and more on the side. Not only did they not have sour cream but they forgot to include the extra sour cream I had ordered. I couldn't eat it, it was plain bad. Honestly, I would recommend just driving a few blocks north to find way better Mexican food. read more

Chicken enchiladas were really good!! Liz had a chicken taco and a plate of guacamole. She likes the guacamole without jalapeños! The food was fast, the right temperature and also a good portion!
