The food was not good. The ambience was not good and they had one server who spoke little English which is fine but someone has to be able to speak English. There were two other people eating in the place and I saw two people come in for carry out and this location has been at that corner for years.... Always wanted to try .... The parking lot was empty that was the first sign... ordered nachos.....Asked my husband where was the cheese? I ordered with ground beef it's easier to eat but I also ordered a steak burrito to share with my husband and I swear it was the same meat. The salsa with the chips was warm which I like but too spicy so the cook made me pico de gallo fresh which was nice. I guess. What a great location what shit food read more

Terrible service because there was no service. The guy in the kitchen saw us waiting to be seated and he didn't inform anyone or he didn't come to get us seated. Oh, there were no other customers either in that place We called out for them twice and no one bothered. Worst place ever and worst service ever. read more

I recently ordered five tacos, a large drink, and chips for $28--pretty steep. I requested well-done tacos, but they were overcooked. The steak was chewy, almost like dog kibble, as another customer mentioned. There was no onion or cilantro, despite my request, making it feel like I was just eating meat in a tortilla. The waitress was kind, but the "Taco Tuesday" promotion was misleading--no steak, only barbacoa. read more

Usually when I drop in a Mexican restaurant I'm somewhat hesitant to go out of my comfort zone of eating tacos lol. I thought I'd live a little a try something new. When I was served my chilaquiles, the presentation was great. As I started to dig in I noticed how stale the corn tortillas were as well with the chilaquiles. I couldn't even finish the huge portion. It was also full of onions - more than just the usual. Turns out I got food poisoning from eating here. I gave this review 3 stars because the service was great! Friendly people, they just need to make sure the food they're serving is fresh. read more

Didn't realize this was a chain restaurant. But we stopped one night before going to the game. Tacos were good! However. Found a little bug in my lettuce which threw the food off after that. Doesn't seem like they clean their produce too well. That was disappointing. read more

I ordered the Chapala. Steak was nice and tender. Shrimp was amazing. I would have thought they would have more of variety of drinks. Service was good it was slow for it being a Sunday. read more

Torta ahogada is where it's at. If you're not familiar, think Italian beef sandwich only this is a Mexican style French baguette with shredded carnitas "drowned" sandwich That's because the sandwich is submerged totally or partially in a sauce consisting of vinegar, cumin, and a dried chili pepper called chile de árbol. I recommend the Less spicy versions of the sandwich, made with a tomato-based sauce and add the fire sauce to your liking. read more

Food is great! Estilo Guadalajara. I really enjoy their Quesatacos and how they prepare them. Both the visual presentation and its taste. And let's not forget about their Micheladas! Customer service is also 5 stars. I have never had any issues and the servers always have a smile on their faces and are very attentive. Overall great Mexican restaurant vibe. read more

I enjoy this place! The tortas ahogadas are just like the ones from Guadalajara. I haven't been after covid but i definitely recommend it

Picked up a order to go 3 taco dinner, the beans were cold and the rice looked and tasted dry and the steak tasted like kibble and bits dog food. The girls at the front could not speak english at all awful service,if u want mexican food please pass on the resturant no care in the food at all read more

Absolutely the worst place I've ever been to the service was awful and they still had audacity to add a $20 gratuity to the bill like you absolutely did not do any service but bring out food, when we needed anything we would have to get up and get there attention. We had 3 orders of tampiquena and they come with fries but they took it upon themselves to bring one small plate for 3 orders like no wtf!! It's 3 separate people why only one plate. The salad looked old already browning. The horchata tasted like powder Horchata. If I could give no stars I would. read more

I came to get pizza next door and I thought I would give them a try. The food is good, sadly not great. Today I went in for their Taco Tuesday menu with tacos being $2. Sadly, even though it's still advertised on their inside menu board they made a decision to not have "Taco Tuesdays" anymore. I pointed it out to the waitress that it's still on their over head menu board. Obviously not her fault but it didn't start the meal off well. The experience became awkward. I sat down already and was given chips and salsa. After not having Taco Tuesday anymore I felt was kind of forced into getting their burrito at $7.50. A tad bit pricey for the food received. Mind you I have paid $14 for an AMAZING burrito before but this was definitely a smaller sized burrito for a grander price. Sad because I would have loved to write this place up and give them a great review. I can't justify that. So, good (not great) food. Small portions for the price and, sadly, a bad personal experience that made me rate the place lower than I wanted to. I always hope that my reviews help management to see possible errors and fix them. Here's hoping this place gets better! read more

Come here at least once every week or two. There tacos never disappoint. I would recommend to a family or friend. Tacos always on the spot.

The worse food ever! Don't go there! Food taste cold and super dry. I ordered the 3 taco dinner and the rice & beans looked like they were left overs from two days back. The tacos were were cold and the tortillas were stiff not soft. The meat was dried out and very small portions. I spend $15.35 for nasty food. I called to complain and they said they couldn't do anything about it because I called to late. I ONLY LIVE 5 blocks away. Food shouldn't get cold and hard after 5 blocks!! Don't waste your time and money there!! read more

Tiny joint but huge servings. Very friendly people and fast service. Got the chicken enchiladas and the plate was covered. Great flavor, chicken was moist and the red sauce is awesome. My only complaint is that they said they don't normally do separate checks. I was with a work associate and we pay our own way. I've noticed this at several other restaurants around the area. Must be some goofy Chicago thing. read more

I made a order for my office of $200 and when the order was placed the restaurant said the order will be ready in 15-20 min. We went to pick up the order at the time given and waited a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes for my order. This is a unbelievable that my staff are not going to be eating due to the inconvenience estimated time that was given to us. We are essential workers and with the pandemic going on this is horrible service. I do not appreciate it. They said that they were going to give us a free can of pop and they actually charged us that "free can" to our order. UNBELIEVABLE!!! If anyone is trying to order food during there lunch time I do not recommend it. read more

Sour tasting Chilaquiles Verdes! The crazy part is we ordered two of the same thing only one tastes completely fine while the other tastes sour. The beans have no flavor, rice is ok. We have ordered from there before and this is the first time we've been disappointed. Maybe they have new cooks? read more

I was there today. I ordered a steak burrito suizo, chicken burrito and two chicken tacos to go. The burrito suizo was for me and the chicken burrito and tacos was for someone else. I took my friend their food at ANOTHER home When I arrived home I was looking forward to eating my "steak burrito suizo" (I have had them before from here and really enjoyed them). When I cut into my "steak burrito suizo"......it was chicken NOT the steak that I ordered. (I don't eat chicken). I contacted the establishment and was told "the cook said he made a chicken and steak burrito but couldn't remember which one was a suizo". I was telling her that he made the wrong one a suizo. She wasn't able to offer a resolution and said she would call the manager and call me back. Daisy (the person I spoke to) didn't call me back so I called back. I was told that Daisy had left for the day. The lady I spoke to stated "the cook said he made a steak burrito suizo and a chicken burrito". Something totally different from what Daisy said the cook said. The lady I was speaking to then told me to call back in twenty minutes to talk to the manager. She refused to provide her name. I received a call from "the cook" about ten minutes later. He stated that he made the order correct. I informed him that it wasn't and that I wouldn't be calling if the order was correct. He stated that he would make me a steak burrito suizo if he see that I was given a chicken burrito suizo. Another stipulation was that I had to bring it back today and TODAY ONLY. Told him that my schedule does not permit me to go back to the establishment today but would be able to do it later in the week. He stated that if I couldn't bring it back TODAY there would be NO refund or exchange and was adamant about that. This is not about the money for the burrito. Have you ever had your tastebuds set for something and you get home and you don't have what you ordered. On top of that being accused of lying and told that my only resolution was to come back TODAY to resolve it. Poor Customer Service read more

Ive been going all around oak lawn trying the different Mexican restaurants and I hit Las Picosas today. I walked in and the music is blaring lol. I did not enjoy that. But the girl taking my order was a sweetheart and I got a burrito and 2 tacos. The tacos- holy hell theyre good. Their pastor is incredible I wish I got more. The burrito, perfectly rolled and they were not cheap. I loved it. The salsa- This was tdisappointing because I wanted the hottest salsa in the world and they claim theirs is very spicy. It was little heat but DAMN it tasted good. I literally drank it from the cup when I had no more food. All in all I liked this place a lot. I wish the salsa was as hot as they advertise, though :(. That's why I gave it 4/5. read more

Awful!! My first time at this restaurant; I ordered chilaquiles to go and they are the most dry and sorry looking chilaquiles I've ever had. They come with beans, rice and egg. The rice was super dried as well. I ordered extra sour cream and more on the side. Not only did they not have sour cream but they forgot to include the extra sour cream I had ordered. I couldn't eat it, it was plain bad. Honestly, I would recommend just driving a few blocks north to find way better Mexican food. read more

This used to be my fave spot. But man have they've been slacking lately. I ordered the "torta" de Pierna and got what looks like hoagie bread (Posted picture above) Super disappointed... I got charged the same price if I would've gone to another Mexican restaurant with real actual, double the meat, tortas. Next time, ill just go down the street where there's plenty of other Authentic Mexican restaurants. I mean come on, they didn't even have Agua de Horchata!
