Went in the afternoon on a Wednesday. It was completely empty- so we were worried at first. But we stayed because I didn't think the yelp reviews could steer me so wrong. Chips and salsa were delicious. My mango margarita could have used some flavor and tasted like a bland smoothie. But that was the only thing I would say was not up to the reviews I read. Everything else my family and I ate was flavorful, just the right amount of spice and wonderfully seasoned. Definitely will be back if we are in area again!

So this is the smoked marlin. I thought I was getting actual fish

What I received was chopped up meat on a plate Instead of guacamole they sliced up some avocado! Very disappointing

I love this place. MUST ORDER: taco gobernador, camarones zarandeados, enchiladas, langostinos & mejillones haha. Everything I've tasted has been delicious. The service is great, it's a new location so I can't wait to see it grow. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good music, good food, good service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We ordered the grilled artichoke to start, which was delicious. It comes with a Dijon dipping sauce that I loved. I ordered the macadamia nut crusted halibut that's on their current seasonal menu. It comes with an orange ginger sauce. The fish was firm and flaky, the mac nut crust gave it some nice crunch, and the sauce was flavorful. The fish comes with two sides, but I opted for a double order of the grilled zucchini. My husband ordered the sea bass that's also coated with a crust and comes with a lemon butter sauce. We tried each other's fish and we agreed they're both tasty, but mine was a bit better! I liked the lemon butter sauce on his fish a lot. Despite being busy, service was great! Our drinks stayed topped off, our waitress was ready with the check when we asked, and overall it was a nice relaxing dinner.

I visited King's Fish House for a celebratory lunch and was deeply disappointed by the starkly…read morecontrasting treatment I received compared to my guest. The poor experience began at the host stand. I had a reservation for 1:15 PM but arrived early and was sat at 12:56 PM. Despite my active reservation, when the host led me to the table, she asked if the reservation was under "M." When I got to the table and asked who "M" was, she dismissively replied that they "just put down an alphabet." I told her my name was Will, but she didn't care to acknowledge it or correct her mistake. This cold shoulder continued throughout the meal. When asked about drinks, I said "water for now," and every time I said "thank you" to our server, I was met with complete silence and zero acknowledgment. Once my guest--who is white--joined me at the table, the dynamic shifted entirely. He received 95% of the server's warmth, eye contact, and attention. The only time the server actively engaged with me was to take my physical food order. Even the food had issues--our first crab cake was served overcooked. Because my guest was the one who pointed it out, the manager came over and addressed him to replace it. While the manager's interaction was a bit better, the server's dismissive attitude toward me never improved for the rest of the meal. To top it off, I was the one who paid the bill. When the server returned my credit card, instead of handing it back to me, she chose to place the presenter book directly in the middle of the table. As a business owner, I understand how critical customer service is. The selective attentiveness and dismissive attitude I experienced today felt incredibly biased and completely ruined our lunch. I will not be returning to this location.

AMBIANCE 5.5/10…read more After spending way too long trying to decide what to eat, we finally settled on seafood boil and landed on The Big Catch because of their all-you-can-eat option. Walking in, our first impression wasn't great the building looked a little run down. Once inside, though, the vibe improved. It had a rustic sports bar feel with TVs everywhere, an open bar, and a seafood station. Nothing fancy, but not terrible. EXPERIENCE 7/10 The service was one of the better parts of the visit. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and recommend a few items. The food took a little while to come out. BTW there's a 90 minute limit after we were seated and the second round of our seafood took 30 minutes to come out (they apparently forgot our order) and they proceeded to tell us we had last call right after our second round of food barely got to the table. Not sure if that's done on purpose but we really didn't really appreciate that. Overall though, the staff definitely made the experience better. THE FOOD 5/10 Here's where things started to fall apart. The first all-you-can-eat platter came with two snow crab clusters, 1/2lb crawfish, 1/2lb mussels, 1/2lb peeled shrimp, plus unlimited sides. One thing that caught us off guard and maybe we just missed it on the menu is that after your first round, you can no longer order the snow crab or peeled shrimp. That was disappointing since those ended up being the best seafood options on the table. The snow crab was solid, and the peeled shrimp were surprisingly good the texture was crunchy and we didn't get any fishy smell or flavors. Everything after that... not so much. Round two included whole shrimp, clams, and scallops. The portions were noticeably smaller, and almost everything tasted like it had been frozen for too long. The crawfish lacked freshness, the whole shrimp had the same issue and were mushy without the initial crunch additionally the shrimp was hard to peel which makes us think that it was POSSIBLY reheated, and the scallops were tiny with a strong fishy flavor that made them hard to enjoy. Even the House/Cajun seasoning didn't do much to save it. It was too oily and honestly just tasted like salt, there was no spiciness either and we got the hot flavor. Ironically, the sides ended up carrying the meal. The cucumber salad was fresh and crunchy, which balanced out some of the heavier seafood, and the sweet potato fries were honestly one of our favorite things we ordered. And one last thing... somehow even the water tasted off. What We'd Order Again Snow Crab Clusters Peeled Shrimp Fish Taco Sweet Potato Fries Cucumber Salad Sausage Corn Skip These Whole Shrimp Clams Mussels Scallops Crawfish House/Cajun Seasoning Cajun Fries Cajun Wings Boiled Egg Water Final Rating If you're going for the all-you-can-eat seafood, don't expect premium quality. The first round is decent, but once the crab and peeled shrimp are off the table, the meal drops off pretty quickly. Would we come back? Definitely not. We ended up paying 90$ for 2 people which you can argue is good since it's an AYCE seafood meal but afterwards after speaking to the waiter we found out the shrimp and crawfish was indeed frozen that along with all the other disappointing food doesn't make us feel like it was worth the money. Overall Gassington Rating: (5/10)

I went all out with a seafood boil loaded with crab legs, shrimp, sausage, and potatoes. Everything was flavorful and seasoned just right. The cucumber salad was fresh and refreshing, and the garlic noodles were a must-try--garlicky, savory, and full of flavor.

The appetizers and side dishes were good, and we enjoyed the fries, noodles, and calamari. The only disappointment was the special sauce that comes with the crawfish and shrimp boil. The flavor wasn't what we expected and tasted more like a tomato-based sauce. Compared to places like The Boiling Crab or Kicking Crab, it lacked the buttery, garlicky, and savory flavor we were looking for. Unfortunately, the sauce was the main reason my kids and I didn't enjoy the seafood. Since the sauce is such an important part of a seafood boil, it really affected our overall experience. The food itself was fresh, and the service was fine, but we would probably choose The Boiling Crab or Kicking Crab next time.

With Diane in tow, we were pleased that a large parking lot was directly across the street from the restaurant. And as we entered and were seated in a booth in the bar area, an elegant but understated woodsy ambiance greeted us. Wanting to sample a cross-section of offerings, we began our dinner with soup and salad. Diane liked her bowl of orange-hued Lobster Bisque, and I enjoyed my bowl of hot and angry-red Garden Tomato Soup and salad of Field Greens with multi-colored Grape Tomatoes. Flatbread smeared with Herb Butter was very good, as well. A few Grilled Sea Scallops were warm and sizable enough as an appetizer, in addition to a side skewer of fairly large and tasty Grilled Shrimps. And Diane and I both raved about our chosen entree of Ginger-Sesame Glazed Chilean Sea Bass. The fish was flaky and cooked perfectly--in the league of the best we have ever had. At first I was disappointed that the restaurant was out of requested Tartar Sauce. But it soon became apparent that none was needed. A bed of Rice Pilaf served as a soft base for the fish for me, and Diane had Yukon Mashed Potatoes fulfill the same purpose for her chosen main. Specially requested French Fries were also gladly prepared by the chef. The skin-on variety, they were soft on the inside and okay overall. Throughout the course of the meal we received excellent multi-person service, led by our principal server, Marie. We expect to return for more of that wonderful Sea Bass. XXXX-1/2 stars overall for this initial outing!
