Found out later that it was formerly Watami. I recognized the window view from the inside. Arrived a few minutes before our reservation, and we were seated right away at a cozy corner. The place had several tables occupied, and it looks like we got there at the right time. Drink and appetizer orders were taken, and we had a little time to look through the menu. A bottle of wine and a couple of cocktails came out and entree orders were taken promptly. I had looked it up ahead of time, and had my sights set on the Paella Valencia. We also got the Grilled Octopus (perfectly grilled and seasoned), empanadas which were smaller than I expected, but delicious (Might have been too much if they were bigger). we also had the seafood-stuffed jalapenos, and calamari for appetizers, and others in our party got the lamb chops, stuffed sole, and salmon for their mains. I finished my entire pot of paella, it was fantastic. I always like when the chef comes around to see firsthand how the guests are enjoying their meals, and Chef Nunez did just that. I think we'll bring other people here next time, there were many other items that caught my eye that reminded me of our time in Spain.

Turns out there was a Christmas party happening in the back, must have been quite the rager. We were referred here by some locals that seemed to know most of the wait staff so that seemed promising. The drinks were average the food was SUPERB. We were a fairly large group (maybe), there were 8 of us. The food presentation was that of a high end restaurant, and it was definitely not my typical menu so that was a nice change of pace. Don't expect a Chilis menu or some other basic chain menu. One downfall, one of the dinners came out about twenty minutes after everyone else's. The manager took care of it which was the decent thing to do, maybe it was mixed into the party room, idk. Overall a great experience.

From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel genuinely welcome, like you're a regular even on your first visit. The food is absolutely outstanding fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. And I have to talk about that green sauce they serve on the side... whatever magic is in it, I could seriously put it on everything. It's that good. To top it all off, I tried their tres leches cake and it was perfection, moist, rich, and not overly sweet, just the way it should be. Amazing food, wonderful people, and flavors that keep you thinking about your next visit. Highly recommend!

It looked great. But, it was way way overrated, like the cook is in love and doesn't pay attention…read more while salting the food. Kid said it was saltier than the ocean. Also we went at night and the food was dry-ish, plantains were not fresh and yammy as u love them. Oxtail was dryyyy. Yukka (for extra $2) was dryyy. From the meat options we got the best was chicken, chicken in my (super salty) soup was perfectly cooked. Grilled chicken was great too, juicy with crunchy skin. Beans were cooked perfectly. Too much rice in every plate and not enough beans though. I really do t know if during lunch time all that food was freshly cooked and juicy and just got dried up by dinner time. I might give it another chance if I am in the area and super hungry, cos it was generously served.

First time here and it did not disappoint! We were lucky enough to get a nice day for cinco de mayo…read moreso we arrived for lunch and ate outside. It was super quiet which was nice. Chips were swiftly brought out to our table as was our main dishes: cheese quesadilla, skirt steak and a burrito. Everything was absolutely delicious. The marinade on my steak was perfect and was cooked perfectly. We ordered chocolate fudge cake to top it off. Highly recommend!

The salsa had good flavor. To drink I had a blueberry margarita and my fiancé had a watermelon margarita. Both were great and not overly sweet. For an appetizer we shared the chori- fondue. The menu stated it was served with a side of tortillas, which we didn't get. Not a big deal..we dipped the chips into the fondue instead. For my entree I had the Baja shrimp tacos. They started off with good flavor but then in my first taco one shrimp still had the shell on it. I know that sometimes the shell is left on for flavor purposes, but not in tacos that one is bitting into. I then saw the shell was on another shrimp in my third taco. This was definitely a poor oversight and poor attention to detail as it wasn't on every shrimp. Eater beware. My fiancé had arroz con pollo which he enjoyed. The serving was quite large and he has atleast another two meals for later. Service was alright, but our server never came back to check on us. Overall, I'd say it was just okay and average.

We asked the bartender if we could enjoy the Happy Hour at one of the tables, he said, No. Only at the bar. Something that was not spelled out on the menu nor the website. We sat at the bar. The menu listed the house gin at $5. I asked which Gin did they use as House Gin. The bartender said, I can give you Tanqueray but the price is not $5 like the menu says, it's $7. He said that menu was from Milford, not Westbrook. Weird...so I get a glass of wine, which did ring at $6 like the menu said. We ordered a few "tapas". Out of the four that we tried, the best one was the turnover (empanada), then the meatballs (tiny meatballs), then the fried calamari (which tasted and looked out of a frozen wholesale fried calamari bag) and last the pork medallion (not tasty at all). When the bill came, two of the tapas had the wrong price (higher than what the menu said)....I had to ask the bartender to rectify, which he did.....Poor people the ones that do not check their bills....they can easily be overcharged here....Big time..... Not recommended....not coming back.
