Torta de steak

This place is amazing! One of the best tortas I have had here in DFW! Service was amazing and everyone was super nice and attentive! I also had the chance to try the aguachiles and fajitas, everything tasted flavorful and so fresh! Definitely going back and I definitely recommend this place!

Our server was very attentive and gave us great recommendations for drinks. The food was delicious and came out quickly. We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was not busy so we had some fast service. The vibes overall are very inviting and the place is clean. A great experience!

The food and service were fantastic last week we decided to come back and sample another meal. I went with the carnitas street tacos this time, and they were delicious. The green salsa is very hot and was great. The owner came out and we had a five minute conversation with him and he is local to Richardson. We did make a reservation for this visit.

This is a quaint upscale Mexican restaurant. The restaurant's coziness warmth and lighting relaxes you and puts you at ease. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Since it is a newer restaurant there did seem to be a bit of confusion with our waiter. Not sure if he had too many tables to wait on, but he was not as attentive as he could have been. Overall the food was flavorful and well seasoned. Their happy hour had a variety of food and drinks. Good selection for a happy hour. It definitely helps to offset the prices. With a few tweaks this restaurant has potential.

A friend referred me and it did not disappoint. Everything tasted fresh. I had a birria taco and sour cream chicken enchiladas. I went for a late lunch so they weren't too busy and I was seated right away. It took about five minutes to get my food. I'll be back when in the area.

Service is top notch! The food was pretty good. There are a lot of options ranging from authentic Mexican to Tex-mex to steak. I'd love to go back and try more of the items. The food arrived hot and the presentation was beautiful. The prices are a bit more than we expected so just know that when you plan a night here. It wasn't busy at all when we came in. I'm sure the weekends are busier but I liked it because we were able to get a seat at the bar and interact with the bartender who was super friendly and helpful. Our server that was also helping us was extremely nice and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back to sample more items. I do recommend this restaurant.

Pollo en mole dish

We came for a date night on a Friday and we were seated immediately. Amanda was a great server, very attentive. Right away you get chips and salsa until your food arrives. The food was delicious. I ordered the pollo en mole which comes with rice and beans, and had Jamaica(hibiscus) for my drink. All was very good. We will be returning.

We were very pleasantly surprised. It's even better in my opinion. The people are very warm and friendly. The food is really delicious. I love that they bring not only good salsa with their fresh hot chips, but also a tomatillo sauce and a black bean dip. We've now eaten there several times. The taco meat has a nicely charred flavor. The tamales were very good. (I'm picky about my tamales. I've tried their ranchero sauce, chili con carne, and sour cream sauce. None of them disappoint. Their rice isn't dry like it is at many other Tex-Mex places. And their $5.00 all day frozen margaritas are worth it. We usually go for the lunch specials that run until 4:00. They don't have mole on the menu, yet. I'm looking forward to their future specials. In this day and age where it's hard to keep a restaurant open, I really hope this one survives. It's not fancy, but the food and service make it worth it. And I'm a picky person when it comes to spending money on food I don't make myself.

A red salsa which was mild and has some nice acidity from the tomato. Then there was a creamy green salsa that had a nice spice. Then finally my personal favorite a great black bean dip. The poblano sauce was creamy cheesy and delicious. There was a nice spiced shredded chicken super tasty. Overall a fantastic restaurant with great service too !

It has gray interior, tables, and chairs. We ordered strawberry margaritas while waiting for 2 more people to join our party. The first margarita was not bad. It had decent strawberry flavor. After the 2 joined our party, it took quite a while to get the servers' attention to order more drinks and food. I ordered another strawberry margarita and the Fernando Tex-Mex platter. This margarita had so much strawberry mixer in it compared to the first one. It made it too sweet. The Fernando had plenty of food, and the beef enchilada was my favorite. The meat could have been seasoned more to give it more flavor.

Every order is served on a little tray with chopped onion and cilantro on the side along with a little cup of charro beans. I've had the trompo (al pastor), barbacoa, and carne asada, and they were all incredible and VERY generous on the meat. Elote was decent and (as a fun fact) they have a self serve sauce and cheeto/takis dust area that you can top it off with. The restaurant is directly connected to a dessert shop with an expansive dessert menu and freezers full of $1.50 paletas (I suggest the rice flavor - kind of like a horchata on a stick).

My husband and I visited for dinner on a Friday night and it was pretty packed! There was no line to order at the counter, but many of the tables were already taken (though we did manage to get a table for the two of us). We tried a variety of items on the extensive menu, and my favorites were definitely the trompo tacos and the quesabirria tacos! The carne asada taco was good but I personally always prefer trompo / al pastor, and the volcanes was interesting to try. Unfortunately, the chicken taco was very bland and flavorless. Furthermore, the other thing that makes me hesitate to return is the fact that there was quite a bit of fat on the meat in the tacos, which made it more difficult to fully enjoy.

At no point did my server tell me that there would be an additional $2 charge for the substitution. Had he told me, I simply would have kept the rice and beans that came with the meal. When the bill arrived, I noticed the extra $2 charge and questioned it. Instead of simply acknowledging that the additional charge had not been communicated to me when I ordered, the server sent the manager over. The manager ultimately refunded the $2, but his attitude was unnecessarily rude. He told me that the menu explains there is a $2 upcharge. Regardless of what may be printed on the menu, when a customer specifically requests a substitution that carries an additional charge, I believe the server should clearly mention it when taking the order. This wasn't really about $2. It was about communication and customer service. A simple, "Just so you know, there's a $2 upcharge for the vegetables," would have prevented the entire issue. Instead, I left feeling like my concern was treated as an inconvenience rather than a reasonable customer-service issue. I will not be returning because of how I was treated.
