Super asada, alpastor, and quesa taco birria. No consume. Not sure if it comes with it or not
Yaya G.

I ordered 3 tacos: asada, pastor, and birria. The tortillas were handmade and the tacos were a good size. The meats had great flavor, the asada was juicy and sliced in strips, and the birria was super tender. But a few things threw me off. The salsa had no flavor, and the pastor wasn't trompo meat like advertised. They didn't include any sides :( no lemons, jalapeños, radish, grilled onions or even napkins. Small things, but they matter. I had high hopes based on their IG, but overall I wasn't that impressed. Might give it another try in the future, but this visit left me wanting more. Love how clean the truck was and the looks. It is at a small liquor store now they changed location and there's even space to eat outside which is nice. The service was ok as well. Maybe I'll be back soon.

Azteca chilaquiles was bomb
Mari M.

I was driving by Lander Ave when I noticed this taco truck and all the vibrant colors. I was hungry so decided to give this place a try. Noticed this place is owned by Agave Azul in Hughson. You know its going to be good when the restaurant has good food. I asked what they were known for and server told me a few options. I went with one of their popular dishes: Azteca chilaquiles with chicken and 2 over easy eggs. It was one of the best chilaquiles I've had in town!!! The azteca sauce was bomb!!! I almost finished this well served dish. Can't wait to try their other items on the menu. Definitely recommend this place!!!

They have a fun drink menu, and do mimosa flights with unique flavors. I tried their red sangria and enjoyed it, it's not too sweet and more tart. My friend had the lemon drop, and at first it wasn't the proper color of one it was more orange than yellow. We had an accident with the baby and he knocked over the drink and water and they were kind enough to remake her the cocktail and the next time around it was the correct color and tasted better. The food menu also had unique items, I was intrigued to try a few things! We started with the ceviche, I really liked it! Typically I always go for chilaquiles so I was torn but I decided to be different and since it is a crepe place I went with the mushroom and bacon crepe. The sauce they use on the crepe is decently spicy, so if you're spice sensitive I recommend getting it on the side. My friend's daughter had the breakfast crepe and it also had the same sauce and she had to eat around it, but she trooped through! My girlfriend ordered the steak bowl and she enjoyed it, it came with a lot of steak!

The staff was super accommodating about it, which we really appreciated. This was our first time here and let me just say... it's so cute! The outdoor area has great lighting, pretty setup, and perfect for pictures. We started with a mimosa flight and some steak fries to share (10/10 combo btw). The service was a little on the slower side, but our server was super friendly, and honestly, it worked out since it gave us plenty of time to catch up and take more photos. For my entree, I got the salmon and let me tell you, I was gagged. It was amazing! The sauce was so yummy and full of flavor, the salmon was perfectly cooked, and I left feeling so full and happy. If you're looking for a cute spot with good food and good vibes Loza is that place. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Turlock!

We were visiting from out of town and decided to stop by because of the excellent reviews this place had received. When we first walked in, one of the employees asked what I wanted. I explained that I was waiting for my husband before ordering. She responded by saying, "Oh well, they're waiting," referring to the customers behind me. I immediately replied, "That's fine, go ahead!" so the other customers could order first, but her reaction afterward felt dismissive and somewhat annoyed. We later placed and paid for our order. Shortly after, my husband decided he wanted a Biscoff latte instead, so we politely asked if the drink could be changed. Another employee kindly stepped in and said she could do it, which we appreciated. I specifically asked for the drink to be changed to an iced Biscoff latte. Unfortunately, when the drinks came out, mine was still hot instead of iced. I went back up respectfully and let them know there had been a mix-up. Both employees looked at each other and chuckled in what came across as annoyance. I even apologized for the inconvenience, but the first employee responded by saying, "We are just too busy." I completely understand that working in customer service can be overwhelming, and I always try to be patient and understanding. However, at the time there were only a couple of seated customers and just the two of us waiting for our drinks, so the comment felt unnecessary. By that point, the interaction from the moment we walked in had already made the experience feel uncomfortable. We ended up grabbing our drinks and leaving disappointed. I usually enjoy leaving positive reviews, especially for small businesses, so it was unfortunate because we came in excited after reading such wonderful things about this place.

Nice portions of food were you can take home. Since I was hungry and my boyfriend had already eaten, we decided to share the 1/2 sandwich and their soup of the day-a bowl of chicken n rice, DELICIOUS. Wonderful friendly helpful waitresses, who are attentive, great customer service, inside and outside seating-weather permitting. Right of Fwy 99 and Main St., in Turlock. Opens at 6:00 am and closes at 3 pm everyday- its a diner, and casual atmosphere! I would highly recommend my family, friends, and new comers. The waitresses are so friendly in Turlock and the cook is so cool. They are all off of Fwy 99 in Hilmar, Ceres and Turlock off of Main St nearby the freeway and and you will see McDonald's on your right side and Hot Rod on your left side facing the freeway. ENJOY! UPDATE: Went again a week ago, and yes the soup was delicious! We learned today that they have a variety of soups of the day. Even the lentil soup was delicious that we decided to take a bowl home to share or not.

So after church…read moretoday we decided to try the one in Turlock, thinking we'd experience the same quality food and service. We were sadly mistaken. Entering the restaurant, the first thing that caught our attention was the dirty floor, littered with food and paper products throughout the restaurant. Coffee and water came out quickly but never had a refill on the coffee until I had finished my meal. Not because I didn't want any, but our server was busy with other tables and didn't get to us until we were almost done. My wife's meal was mostly ok, but the English Muffin was hard enough to use as hockey pucks. My chicken fried steak had a weird flavor and not sure if it was on the gravy or the seasoning used on the meat. But it was just so-so, nothing to write home about. Best thing was the eggs, done perfectly and hashbrowns were pretty decent. Biggest complaint was the slow service, probably due to it being grad weekend and they were pretty busy with families (according to the cashier), and the extremely dirty place. The bathroom was also dirty, obviously nobody had cleaned it for quite a while. I blame management for not planning ahead and having at least 1 or 2 extra servers/busboys on hand to handle the larger crowd. We decided to return to the Ceres location and call that our home for Hod Rod Diner food. As another recommendation, I suggest taking the carpet out and just having a plain floor; much easier to keep clean than a carpet.
