Getting to this area from Pearland is much easier than heading into Houston so I was more than happy to come here. I've been here a couple of times and the most recent visit brought me and a party bus full of friends here on a Saturday night. The place gets busy but parking hasn't been an issue on any of my visits. It's a narrow bar that may seem tight, but it keeps going towards the back with more seating as well as a spacious patio. Customer service is always great and the bartenders know their stuff here. They have a pretty extensive drink menu here and there is something for everyone's preferences. They have a long list of cocktails and they can make you anything you want as well. The staff are experts here. They also have an impressive bourbon collections with about 200 kinds to choose from. Along with their cocktails, they have a long list of martinis. I love a good martini and here they have so many options. You can't go wrong with my favorite espresso martini, but the one that wowed me here was the Cucumber Patch. Cucumber flavor profile is not typically something I seek out, but I was in the mood for something refreshing and this was suggested to me. Get it and thank me later. As far as food goes, they have a separate BBQ business on site that sells some food. Don't sleep on the Bay Area if you are looking for a nice cocktail. This place will quickly be one of your favorites. I will surely be back.

I've driven by a countless number of times, and you'd never really know it's there. But walking in, you immediately get that local dive bar kinda vibe in the best way possible. I met up with some friends here for a chill drink after work, and to our surprise it was karaoke night! I have to applaud the regulars here because they can really SING! But don't be shy if you can't, they were welcome to everyone going up for a song. As far as drinks go, I had the Alimony. I was sold on it because it's gin, guava juice and elderflower liquor. Balanced, not too sweet, and had a little bit of sparkling effervescence. Pair that with a shot or a beer, and we were having a great time catching up with old friends. I don't remember our bartender's name, but she gave us great service. Overall 10/10 recommend the Davenport Lounge Clear Lake if you're looking for where the locals go, trust me they know best.

If you're flying out of Hobby and want a spot that actually feels like a place to hang (not just…read moresurvive), The Rustic Houston Hobby is such a solid find. The bar space is perfect for getting work done, grabbing a drink, or just easing into travel mode. Comfortable seating, plenty of outlets (huge win), and an overall vibe that feels more like a real restaurant than an airport stop. Music was also on point! Food-wise, it definitely exceeded expectations for airport dining. I ordered the spicy salmon Caesar and fries. The Caesar dressing was the standout-super flavorful with just the right kick. That said, I actually think it might be better with chicken instead of salmon. The fries had a great consistency and texture crispy outside, soft inside, but weren't anything super memorable. Service was great, which always makes a difference when you're traveling. Friendly, attentive, and efficient without feeling rushed. Overall, a really great pre-flight spot that I'd happily return to-especially for the vibe, a drink, and that Caesar dressing.

I've heard mixed reviews about the other Rustic locations but we both decided to give it a try. We were able to sit right away. Service was great- our server was awesome and so accommodating. We started off with the jalapeno spoon bread which was just ok. I probably wouldn't get it again since it was mushy and just not that good. I had the spicy salmon Caesar salad, and my mom ordered the cedar plank salmon. My salad was bomb. The fish was cooked perfectly, and you can't go wrong with a good Caesar. My mom did not care for the cedar plank salmon since she thought it was a bit plain. It didn't come with sauce, so she asked for lemons to add some flavor. Our server suggested we try their shakes for dessert. We got the banana pudding shake and the peanut butter shake, which were good but so rich. Probably could've done without them too but it was good in the moment.

This place is a seafood lover's dream! The seafood was cooked to perfection, everything had good flavor, the sauces were thick and held onto the seafood well, and there were a ton of options no matter what seafood you like to order. They even have good options for non seafood lovers, there's something for everyone. We had the Medium Feast(a seafood boil), an order of wings, and the Texan Platter which is a mix of fried shrimp and fish. Delicious... seriously. I'm going to come back and just get wings at some point, they were fire. I can't decide what was my favorite. I also really liked that they give you plenty of lemons and butter with your order, and each table has a nice setup with ketchup, Cajun seasoning, and paper towels. For the seafood boil we ordered Full House seasoning at the hot heat level, it was nice and spicy and had good flavor too. If we wanted to sweat we could probably go up to the next spice level, but will probably stick with that flavor as our main. There is plenty of parking at the restaurant and it is near a movie theater. The restaurant was clean and the employees were very attentive. Our server Lexi was great, she had a lot of tables but she paid such great attention to us and we never went without. She was awesome and was a big part of the reason we had a fantastic experience. I can't recommend this spot enough! We went for dinner last night and I had to talk myself out of going back for lunch today, it's the real deal.

I wasn't overly hungry, but I certainly ate my body weight in complementary chips and salsa. You are given a basket, red and green salsas, and refills for both. The green was especially delicious The exterior looks to have had a facelift over the years, and the interior is well decorated. There's also plenty of parking. We didn't have to wait at all for a table, and it was fairly busy As I mentioned, there are the majority of classic mexican delicacies on the menu, and some TexMex adjacent dishes, but again, I'm not the expert. I was in the mood for tacos, and that's what I went with. There are several proteins to choose from, and you can order tacos à la carte. I wasn't sure how big the tacos were (if they'd be street tacos sized), and I chose flour tortilla instead of corn tortillas, and the tacos were much bigger than I expected. My friend was in the mood for breakfast, and they offered that menu even though it was in the afternoon There is a full bar, but we didn't have any alcoholic drinks. They have jarrijitos and other drink options Everything tasted great, and I was surprised just how affordable my meal was. I think I walked away paying close to $8 for my 2 tacos Some tips: This is NOT TexMex. If you're a fan of Mexican delicacies this is a great spot for you. It also helps if you have someone who speaks Spanish. You can get by in English, but the majority of servers speak Spanish, and it definitely adds to the authentic ambiance Cheers!!
