The ladies recommended a soup and I saw something interesting in the lunch menu so got both- since I was starving. Peruvian Calamari over fish is great even though I'm not much of a calamari person. The Aji sauce is like a delicious curry. The piping hot soup has different seafood in it. That recommendation is just OK to me. It's not bad and OK. They both come with white rice so I love it. I do carbs.

I noticed it after the first bite and couldn't eat the rest. She ordered a quesadilla and it came with chips and a capri sun. The have kinda minimal decor inside. Some Pica papel (I think that's right) which is kinda standard. They have paper menus right now and I think it's cause it's very new. I am kinda sad the tortillas taste like they are from a package. It they used the right quesadilla cheese which was great. You go and order then take a seat. They food came out fairly quickly. I noticed they used a sandwich press to make the quesadilla which honestly is pretty cool. They have a good variety of food and they do have breakfast that is served until 12 pm. I definitely recommend giving them a try. This place can only get better.

If you're trying to decide if you should eat here, just do it for the shrimp cocktail! LOL…read moreThe shrimp cocktail is the best Mexican style cocktail I have had in the United States. You can't get this anywhere else in the country, trust me. I have lived in Washington state and Tennessee. I have also vacationed or have traveled to every state for work. This shrimp cocktail is by far the most authentic. The sauce is slightly sweet and thinner in consistency than most cocktail sauces , which makes it very light. The flavor of the sauce deliciously blends with the onion, tomato, cilantro and avocado. Once you try this you'll be hooked. They serve it with lime and crackers. However, I don't eat mine with crackers...I eat it on chips because it's lighter and pairs better together, allowing you to experience the flavors and freshness of the cocktail. They also have a tasty Michelada. They make their own mix and I would have to say their mix is my favorite I've had so far. It's very light, not tomatoey (is that a word LOL) and full of flavor. If you ask me what else I've eaten here I would tell you nothing else. So, I can't comment on the other dishes because I love their shrimp cocktail so much..that's all I get! LOL I live in League City and drive to Baytown just for the shrimp cocktail. Can you tell how much I love it? LOL I've even tried to reverse engineer the sauce but, can't get it right. LOL The atmosphere, as you can see by my picture is nothing fancy but the restaurant is always clean. They are typically a little busy during lunch but, never on a wait. The day I came it was about 3 so, it was only me and 2 other tables. I sat in the booth against the wall. They have booths along the walls with tables in the center of the restaurant. Their prices are reasonable as you can see for yourself, I posted their menu. I'm giving them 5 stars for their shrimp cocktail and Michaela.

However, I recently passed by on my way to my mothers and the exterior of the building had been repainted, cleaned, and overall looked much better. I decided to invite my mom here for breakfast and I'm glad I did. They place was absolutely clean, very nicely decorated, quaint, and the menu was extensive. The food was absolutely delicious and the price was great! The only issue we did have was that they were very low staffed, with one waitress left to tend tend a full restaurant. I had a cup of coffee and the chilaquiles plate. They have red and green options. My mother had the combination plate which had samples of entrees offered at the restaurant. Once fully staffed, this place will get my 5 stars.
