I've been here for other events where they've had mechanical bulls and all sorts of different activities. It seems like there's always something fun going on. The bartenders were friendly, and while there was a bit of a line to get drinks, it wasn't too bad considering how crowded it was. My one complaint is their strange ID and wristband system. Instead of checking IDs when people walk in, staff periodically come around to groups that are already sitting down and hanging out to check IDs and hand out wristbands. I understand they transition to a 21-and-up bar later in the evening, but the system just feels a little awkward and disorganized. Overall, Axelrad is a really fun bar with a great atmosphere, plenty of seating, and a good selection of drinks. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it as a sports bar since there aren't many TVs, but if you're looking for somewhere to hang out with friends, enjoy some drinks, and maybe catch an event, it's a great option.
