(We had no napkins or silverware). Two plates of food (2 of 8) came out within about 30 minutes of ordering. We then asked for silverware and napkins and about 10 minutes later the server came and dropped a pile of silverware on our table and 2 napkins for us to share. The rest of our food took another hour to come out... after we asked twice for a status update. The waitress did apologize and said she was going to give us a 15% discount for the wait but failed to actually apply the discount to our ticket. They also charged us for 2 extra sides at $4.50 each that we didn't get. We didn't say anything because we just wanted to get out of there. Do not recommend.

Okay, so I just HAD to tell you guys about this amazing spot I found the other day called Las Hefas. Seriously, if you're craving some good Mexican, Cuban, or just general Latin food, you HAVE to check this place out. First off, the vibe is just right. It's open and clean, which I always appreciate, and not too dark - you know, you can actually see your food! The prices are totally fair, which is always a win in my book. But let's talk about the FOOD. Seriously, everything was excellent, but the queso fundido? Oh. My. Goodness. It was absolutely amazing. I could have honestly eaten that all night and been perfectly happy. And the service? Seriously a 10/10. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Our waitress was super cute and really made the experience even better. Honestly, there's not a single thing I can complain about. If you're looking for a delicious and fun night out, Las Hefas is the place to be. Go check it out - you won't regret it! Seriously, get the queso fundido! You can thank me later. read more

I had a really great time at Hefas Latin Cuisine!!!!!!! I don't usually write reviews, but this place truly knocked it out of the park for me. The food was amazing with flavors I've never experienced before in Kansas, and the modern decor was both cute and inviting. I wish I had taken pictures of my dinner before I snarfed it all down! One small suggestion for improvement: while my server was very enthusiastic, I found her approach a bit too loud and pushy when making recommendations. A more subdued and less insistent approach would make the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, though, I had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back!!!!!!! read more

Incredibly delicious and authentic food, clearly made with lots of love. From the owner to the hostess, bartender, wait staff, etc. all were amazing, friendly, and very accommodating! What an amazing addition to Hays! I am a student at FHSU, and Las Hefas food makes missing moms cooking a bit easier! Their homemade tortillas are to die for! My friends and I were welcomed by their amazing staff, and our waitress did an outstanding job!
