Las Gloria's took me by surprise! My friends and I ended up here on Cinco De Mayo because the wait was too long at another restaurant. Not only were we immediately seated, but our waitress came followed closely with chips and salsa and asked if we wanted drinks. The staff was both friendly and quick and the food came out much quicker than we anticipated. I pretty much order fajitas at any Mexican restaurant I visit and these were just as good as some of the other local spots. And they didn't skimp on the sides or tortillas! They brought me 8 tortillas...normally I have to ask for extras anywhere else. I would totally come back to Las Gloria's again!

Large Combination platter with Chile verde

This is by far one of the most authentic and delicious Sonoran Mexican food establishment in the basalt Lake Valley. Their Chile verde is incredible amongst a plethora of dishes available including combination platters, fajitas and tacos. Everything spot on, you can't go wrong. Today we stopped in mid-week and it was extremely slow so service was a little slower than usual and our sides of flour tortillas were obviously not super fresh, a little hard.. yet we didn't complain as this was a small aberration in the usual! With so many options in the south valley area, I hope this little gem thrives!!

I'm hoping I just came on a bad night. The restaurant was pretty packed, our waiter was nice, but we also ran out of water twice. We went through probably 4 rounds of chips, because it took about 40 minutes to get food. It was a really long wait. When the food came out though, it was hot. My beans were literally sizzling on the plate, and in a freezing cold night, it was nice to get some hot food. But it really was not great. I ordered chicken enchiladas, and there were 4 cubes of chicken sprinkled on top, and the inside of the enchilada just seemed to be sauce and cheese. My whole plate was a soupy mess. I spent a minute just searching for the enchiladas in my plate, and I wish I was exaggerating about that. When I finally cut it open, I was disappointed to find more sauce and cheese, and no more chicken. I ate what I could because I was starving, but man, what a disappointing meal.

We adore Las Gloria's, our favorite spot for Mexican food for almost ten years. Their Chile verde is delicious and full of flavor. We love the Nachos ala Gloria, with their crispy homemade chips and tasty toppings including that yummy chile verde. The carne asada tacos are juicy and satisfying, while the smothered breakfast burritos are hearty and comforting. And the fajitas are always a treat, served sizzling hot and bursting with flavor. Sometimes waits are long and food is slow coming out when the restaurant is packed, but it is always worth the wait. Las Gloria's is a true gem that never lets us down!

A solid 3 star... its ok bit nothing special. Service was fine. The pork in the chili Colorado was a blah as can be, they must have boiled it first

Had this food for the first time today. Holy cow! So amazing. The beef chimi was to die for. What a hidden gem of a restaurant. Wow.

I enjoy the food here and I enjoy their takeout that lets you make your own tacos or enchiladas from the package they give you.

La Hacienda Draper -- 12434 Minuteman Dr, Draper, UT 84020…read moreDate: September 21, 2026 This was my first visit to La Hacienda, recommended by some colleagues I was meeting with during one of my regular trips out to the Salt Lake City area. I ordered the 2 Smothered Burritos with Cheese ($13.99). Unfortunately, this one just wasn't for me. The burritos were filled mostly with beans and had very few pieces of chile verde pork. I was expecting much more of that chile verde flavor and meat, so I didn't care for the dish at all. That said, we also ordered the Super Nachos with grilled steak ($12.99) for the table, and those were excellent! I'd honestly return for the nachos alone. I also had a Michelada ($8.99 each), which was VERY good and another highlight of the meal. Our table tried several other items, including 4 Asada Tacos ($10.49), 2 Chile Verde Enchiladas ($13.49), Bean & Cheese Burrito ($11.49), 2 Chicken Enchiladas ($13.49) and another order of 2 Smothered Burritos with Cheese ($13.99). Soft drinks and iced tea were $3.30 each. Despite being disappointed with my entrée, I'm giving La Hacienda 4 stars because the restaurant was very busy, the service was great, the place is nicely designed, and the nachos and Michelada showed me there are definitely some winners on the menu. I'll absolutely return and try some different options next time -- but those Super Nachos will definitely be on the table again!

Unfortunately, I did not like the veggie burrito. It was mostly rice and some beans. Of course, that's what comes with the burrito. I believe there was guacamole inside the burrito as well, but do beans and guacamole make a veggie burrito? I've had way better veggie burritos. If it wasn't for the service, this place would get a 2.

However, for the last three out of four visits my pork carnitas have contained giant globs of uncooked pork fat. Gelatinous and nasty, and commingled with the nicely cooked lean pork. Normally, all pork is delicious, tender, crispy, and dry...and goes perfectly with the rest of the meal. But these three instances of having some of these globs of pork fat is too much for me...especially so many times this year. I thought that management there at Gual's should know about this. Not sure if it is customary to have these fat globs mixed it to the lean meat, but wow, it really detracts from what was supposed to be a wonderful meal. We're going to give Gual's a break for awhile. Maybe come back next year..and hopefully the kitchen will address this issue. Two Stars for some rather odd surprises that really ruin the carnitas plate.

Wow, excellent service. The guy came out to my window after I left, he noticed that I didn't get any salsa. I mentioned that I had never been to the restaurant before, I think he wanted to make sure I got salsa if I wanted some. That saved me the frustration of getting home to find that I didn't have what I needed. Another thing that was nice that they did was ask how far I was going, I got it to go. He realized that the tortillas would get soggy, so he put them on the side. I love a new restaurant because they do everything they can to make the experience the very best. Of everything we tried, the Cheesy Pastor Tacos were the clear standout. The birria, asada, and chorizo were all good, but the pastor tacos stole the show. Next time I'll probably skip the variety and just order those. The only thing that caught us off guard was the seating policy. They wouldn't seat our table until everyone in the party had arrived, even though the people we were waiting for were literally pulling into the parking lot. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did feel a little unnecessary and inconvenient. Overall, the food was excellent, the drinks were refreshing, and the experience was a good one. Pineapple-infused meat with occasional onion brings the taco to life and body slammed my taste buds. I ended up going twice in two days to get the same thing: tacos al pastor. The rice and beans that accompany the entree are not bland and are fluffy and tasty. Chips are made throughout the day and get scooped out of the oven and into your bowl, something that is not only fun to watch but guarantees warm chips. Served with three salsas (the mild red one has tiny bits of carrot in it, which I loved). The horchata here is not overly sweet (thank goodness) and the agua fresca flavor collection is extensive and yummy. My personal favorite is melón (cantaloupe). Mexican Coke available as well.
