I then tried the bacon, egg and tomato on toast. The flavor was popping and sooo good. It came with a mild buffalo sauce on the side. The price was lower than I expected considering how good the sandwich was! When you walk in the restaurant it has a very cute set up. Very nicely decorated with a second level overlook. They serve food, coffee, beer, liquor and sodas. This is the perfect hangout to relax and enjoy a drink. They also have a few TVs in the building for entertainment. The art on the walls are very cool to look at! Definitely recommend this place any time of day! The staff and owner are amazing and super kind!!

I built my own turkey sandwich and added sides of pasta salad and chips. Water to drink and it was about $14. The sandwich was good! The pasta salad was a bit too juicy for my taste. It's an interesting space with lots of art happening. They do have a bar and are open late. There are signs advertising 21+ after 8p with a 20% gratuity after 10p. It's a solid location on Liberty with street parking. I'd stop again!

(4.25) O'Brien's is the kind of classic deli every city…read moreshould have. It's a small space - a few tables inside and a few tables out - but don't let that or the line you are likely to encounter deter you. They crank out sandwiches quickly here. Said sandwiches include about two dozen hot and cold offerings as well as the ability to build your own. The meats are Boar's Head, but the desserts and soups are made fresh in-house. Check out the display case for salads and sides that might catch your eye. O'Brien's prides itself on its Reuben, and so I went with the "mini" version (a quarter rather than a half pound of meat) with a pickle for my first visit here. Ordering at the register was a breeze, and I was fortunate enough to snag one of the tables for dine-in. Though I was a bit skeptical that the Reuben would match the hype, it delivered. I don't know that it is without a doubt the best version I've had, but it is definitely up there. The grilled rye was nice and crisp, and I appreciated that they used both mustard and Russian dressing. That, plus the meat, kraut, and melty cheese, made for a very satisfying bite. At $10, the sandwich proved a good value, too. Unpretentious and nostalgically comforting (for Northern transplants, at least), O'Brien's is a well-oiled sandwich-slinging machine. Though that Reuben will be hard to top, I look forward to giving one of their other offerings (maybe a Cuban, maybe a Spicy Italian) a try.

It's not their fault parking is set up the way it is so won't dock any stars for it. The breakfast menu is pretty small, but if you can find something you like then you're in for a treat. I got the Bacon, egg, and cheese on Texas toast, which was a nice change up from the traditional bagel. I wish the toast was more toasted though. Texture was it felt like I was just eating warm bread as it didn't have a crunch. I loved everything about the fillings. The bacon was so crispy, the cheese was melted and gooey, and the egg was so thick and fluffy. Overall a very solid spot for breakfast.

It's on the first floor and there's a good amount of seating available. Kind of a no-frills but clean and open space. There is a small merch section with some ceramic mugs and other stuff available! The owners are very friendly and helpful. We ordered a decaf americano, mocha, and blueberry muffin. We sat at the back table on the couch and the owner's wife explained how to play one of the cute little table games with the mushrooms. The drinks were good, blueberry muffin was ok, they did heat it upon request. They have good books, games, and magazines around. Parking around here is confusing and difficult - we parked and walked about 5 mins away because the adjacent lot said no public parking (but take a ticket to get validated at Truist?) and the immediate street parking was cash only, no change given. Shorter service hours, 7a-3pm M-F, so not open on the weekends. I think the owner said they are limited by the building hours. Overall, good new addition to Winston. Wouldn't mind walking over again when it warms up a bit! @azfitfoodfun

The chicken is always cooked to order, fresh, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The copan bun is soft and flavorful, the pickles add the perfect bite, and the cucumber salad is crisp and refreshing. Every part of the meal is consistently excellent. I come here once or twice a week to grab food to go, and it's always spot-on. Reliable, flavorful, and truly some of the best fast-food chicken you can get in Winston-Salem. A solid five stars.

Happy to say I am upgrading my review score here, because I went back for the "Hot Thighs Sandwich"…read morethat I said I would in my original review, and that scratched all the things that I felt my original sandwich lacked. It was crispy, supremely juicy, and the combo of hot sauce, ranch (instead of mayo), and pickle was just right. It was a really nice size portion of chicken, and the fries were excellent, as was my Arnold Palmer. There is no doubt that you can pay less for chicken sandwiches elsewhere in the area, and you'll get a few really good ones. This one is amongst the best if I am not taking value into account. Every bite was finger licking good as they say, and I found myself wanting another one. I didn't take that leap right then, but I will soon. I should also mention, the restaurant was spotless when I came in, and I received tip top customer service at the register. Everyone was engaged and ready to make me a great meal.

And as for a double curse, at most of these spots, the prices go up as the portions tail off. I have found Jason's to be flying against these trends, consistently providing stable value and consistent flavor from a menu that is large and varied - with their full salad bar providing one of the very best values at any restaurant, national or local. On this visit, I was again picking up several items for a small family group. We chose fully loaded containers from the salad bar, a bow of chili, and a full sized Reuben sandwich. Once home, we split the items up for all to enjoy - nothing disappointed! This was a first try with the chili, and it was quite nice - plenty of well seasoned ground beef, no beans or onions, but was well topped with cheddar cheese! The Reuben contained 8 ounces of hot, tasty corned beef, great cheese, plenty of kraut, marble rye, and lots of 1000 Island Dressing. It was cut into the required pieces, and the additional dressing was shared - a bit messy but delicious in total. The center piece was the large amount of variety in the salad, and when well covered in the dressing this was great - not especially healthy with the amount of dressing I added! I'll be back soon as I noticed they are offering Beef Stew for a while - gotta try that.
