Hush puppies.....great side dish.

This is a great hidden spot on Robinhood Road I. The same parking lot as the YMCA. They have a great lunch menu and have a daily soup of the day special. You order at the counter and take the #to your table. They bring the meal to your table. Drinks are self serve fountain sodas, unsweetened & sweet tea. They also carry different flavored ice cream. Most orders come with your choice of standard sides like fries, sweet potato waffle fries, fruit, etc. my wife got a fish sandwich on pita. Decent sized fish, she loved it. I got the French Bo Dipper. It comes with a small cup of Au Jus that was the perfect dip for this sandwich. I also used it to dip my fries in. Overall it is a really cool little spot to relax and eat either inside at a booth or table or outside in the fresh air. Either way is relaxing. Employees are all friendly and attentive.

Apparently I've been sleeping on Bobo's. I called in a salad when I was on that side of Winston last week and went through the drive through to get it to go. The salad was delicious and loaded down with goodies. It was very fast service and I was in and out in no time. There are a few wraps on the menu that caught my eye as well so I'll have to go back for those. I got the green goddess dressing and it was very tasty.

Hot Italian Sub

On this visit I wanted to try an item that I'd never had here, the Italian Sub. There is ham, salami, pepperoni, melted smoked gouda, lettuce, tomato, onions. It is served hot on a toasted, 8"hoagie roll with Italian dressing. It comes with a side and goes for $11.29! I love Italian Subs, and have tried more than 2 dozen in the area. This is a solid sandwich, with a flavorful, crunchy roll that is well filled. While the meats are of decent quality, they do not meet the quality of some of the other such sandwiches in the area, and I felt the Italian dressing was on the weak side, not doing much to enhance the flavor. And even with a side (and it is a small side), the overall price is on the upper end of subs I feel are overall better. As built, the combination of the melted cheese and the Italian dressing makes this a rather messy sandwich - I would advise some care in consuming! Another point, the onions on this sub are of the red variety. Ambiance - 3 Food - 3 Service - 3 Value - 3

Service was great. The menu had many options. I ordered the Asian Spicy Chicken Salad. Had to ask for the sweet tea dispenser to get refilled. I give this a 3 out of 5. The place had a decent amount of seating space inside and out. Could be a-lot cleaner. Not too impressed.

We came here about 9am on a Saturday morning. We were looking to grab something to eat in the area and found this place in our bookmarks, so we thought we would finally check it out. This is a casual deli where you order and pay at the counter, have a seat and they bring the food to you. We went to the counter and decided to grab menus and sit at a nearby table to check out the menu. They offer a variety of sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc. We decided on our food and went back to the counter to order. The interior looks to be clean and well taken care of. We could not help but notice the similarities to another deli we frequent in Winston but after inquiring we were told they are only connected to another business in Kernersville. Our orders arrived quickly. My wife chose the Chef Salad and I ordered the Gus Burger with fries and both looked delicious. We both really enjoyed our meals but kept talking about trying their hot chips. So, my wife went and placed an order for them. They also arrived quickly and were tasty but the order was pretty small for two people. Maybe there are different sizes which we didn't ask about. There were many people coming and going, most were eating in but there was also a steady stream of people picking up takeout orders. Overall, a good stop and great local joint in the Robinhood area.

We have been looking for a good classic sandwich shop in Winston since we moved here and I think we finally found one at Bobo's! Sometimes all you want is a classic Philly cheese steak, Reuben, or Italian sandwich and it's not always easy to find! Here at Bobo's they have an amazing selection of sandwiches and the quality does not disappoint. This time I tried the hot Italian and everything about it was perfect! Stacked with layers of flavor between two soft pieces of bread, not much more to ask for.

Really great food and low key atmosphere! They had tons of options for lunch like sandwiches, burgers, salads and tenders. The place was also decorated so well for Christmas. The food was well seasoned and filling and was brought to the table fairly quickly after ordering

From the minute we walked in, we were greeted promptly and seated at our reservation time. They even had handbag clips to put on the edge of the table so we didn't have to put our purses on the floor - loved that! Everything we ordered tasted so good! We got the Rice Paper Tacos as appetizers. They came out looking like art on a plate and they were very gracious to tell us that there's not a wrong way to eat it. I got the Korean BBQ Beef as my entree and it hit the spot! My friend got the Modern Tuna Nicoise as her entree and it looked too pretty to eat, but she said it was delicious! For dessert we got the Passion Fruit Panna Cotta. It was the best way to end the night. We enjoyed our meals and the service was top-notch! Ambiance was nice-we sat in the outdoor area and they had a nice simple table display with a small table lamp that I was intrigued by. I'd never seen one so small but what I liked about it was that it didn't take up space on the table. Usually, the displays take up more space than the food sometimes, so I appreciate the little details. If you've never been to Betty on Burke-you must! I was very pleased with my experience and will definitely come back. PS- they validate parking so you don't have to pay the 3rd party parking system in their lot- HUGE plus!

We came here because it was rated highly on Yelp and near the old interstate we were driving on. Why not:)!? Korean barbecue bowl was good with some nice chilled cucumbers. Salty for my taste. Wedge salad was not really a wedge and our retweet for dressing on the side didn't work out. Also salty. Rice paper tacos looked good but were very hard to eat. Thank you Yelp for the recommendation. Not my favorite place ever but very solid.

Here's what we thought: **Goat Cheese Butternut Squash Ravioli** Delicious but my Dad thought it was a little rich. The couple of bites I tried were excellent! This was his favorite out of the three meals we tried! **Prime Rib** I had to go all in and got the 12oz. It's the best prime rib I've had in years! They serve it with au jus and creamy horseradish. That creamy horseradish is exactly the way I like it, the au jus was a nice addition and the steak was cooked perfectly! I will definitely order again! This was my favorite out of the three entrees we tried. **Crispy Brussels Sprouts** We weren't as thrilled about these as everyone else. I thought they were dry and needed something more. Maybe they didn't add enough jam and/or balsamic this time? **Chorizo Potato Soup** Very nice! The sausage wasn't too overpowering and I like the creamy broth. I kept going back and forth on what I wanted to rate this place, but I think 3 stars fits right. No apps were ordered, but I got the fried flounder and shrimp plate with the sweet potato casserole and fries. My wife got the pecan salmon dish (she swapped out the chicken fyi) & her sides were the same casserole and Mac n cheese. Starting with hers, the salmon was perfect....crispy skin that was seasoned very well. It didn't need the glaze that came with it honestly. Was also moist....honestly, it was the best thing we ate all night after I got a taste myself. For mines, the shrimp breader was tasty and the shrimp was cooked pretty decently...wasn't tough or overcooked. The flounder left alot to be desired. It was cooked quite well, but there wasn't any breader or seasoning for that matter.....no flavor at all. Their tartar sauce was decent too...it did taste like it may have been pre packaged, but it was good. The sweet potato casserole wasn't a casserole at all. It was basically sweet potato mash. Which isn't terrible and it tasted ok. However, I was expecting something completely different so that was a letdown. Their fries were good, however.....had some sort of seasoning salt flavor to them and they were crispy. My wife wasn't too fond of the Mac n cheese. In her words, it tasted like "microwaved pasta with cheese tossed on top". I didn't try it since I'm picky about Mac n cheese myself. I barely order it off anyone's menu so I dodged another disappointment with that one. Regarding the service, our waitress was ok. Nothing that honestly stands out. She was nice, but it seemed their whole wait staff may have been busy since it was dinner rush time. Their prices were decent too, esp in this day and age. All in all, if we do go back, I'd try different things. The place was packed and it appeared everyone was somewhat satisfied with their food. There wasn't much of an ambiance there. The place was pretty full....seemed more of a family style restaurant....it was also kinda cool how they had some sort of video games and stuff in a side room location. I'm not sure if they'll be added to the rotation, but we may consider them again just based on the salmon alone.

When we first walked in, it was busy and we heard the hostess tell the couple in front of us they would need to wait over an hour for a table - Lucky for me my wife made reservations and we were seated immediately! It was a bit on the noisy side but not so bad we couldn't have a conversation. Our servers, Thomas, was fantastic start to finish with good recommendations, attentive service without being overbearing, and a great personality. Good staff make a business shine! We started with glasses of wine and were impressed with how generous they poured. Perhaps it was a visual illusion, but they felt like very large glasses of wine and made it feel like a very good value. They have a good selection of wines to choose from along with a full bar. Appetizer was the Crab Cake Egg Rolls, something I don't think I've seen anywhere else. They're cooked in Beef Tallow which gave a very savory flavor and crispy texture. They were a bit on the oily side but overall flavor was delicious, and I really liked the dipping sauce which was like a very herb-heavy tartar sauce. For entrees, my wife had the Filet and I had a New York Strip. I don't have the words to describe how delicious and perfectly prepared both of these were. I didn't even bother asking for steak sauce because the perfectly tender and seasoned steak didn't need it. Nobody wants to pay high prices for a steak and receive something low quality, and I was thrilled with the quality of the steaks here. Surrounding tables likewise had great looking meals and I overheard them voicing pleasure too. As sides go, the baked potatoes and salads were excellent too. I got the hot bacon vinegarette dressing and was surprised it was actually served quite hot. It had a really rich and slightly tangy flavor that was unique and I really enjoyed on my salad. I have no complaints here and will absolutely be back. Of course it's on the pricey end, but this is the type of establishment you reserve for a special night out, not your average Tuesday night.
