I am used to eating all the Italian items from Franks but today I tried the Tuna Salad. The food was ready quickly and tasted very good. The staff always treats me well and keeps the restaurant clean. I will eat here again.

Many restaurants in rural areas seem to be closed on Monday. We headed out to a different place but found it was closed on Monday as well. I looked for another food option that we had not tried and found Frank's. Looks like they are more geared for takeout but there is seating inside. We shared a calzone and enjoyed it with leftovers to take home. It's a relatively small place with 5 booths and maybe 4 tables inside. There's a picnic table outside as well. There were several other folks eating although it was afternoon. The drink station is self serve. They offer coke products and iced tea. Food is made to order so there's naturally a short wait. I probably wouldn't make it a destination but would stop in if we were in the area.

Philly Cheesesteak lunch plate, mmmm...

Unassuming place with steady customer flow. I never eat Philly Cheesesteak but could not resist as it looked great. Very tasty and will buy again. Pizza is quite good too. I'm hooked!

I am an Italian nut so anytime I get to go to an Italian place I jump at the opportunity! I passed by this multiple times on my way to work in Rural Hall as I go to King and was always curious about it so today I made the leap to try it! Frank's is this hole in the wall Italian restaurant that located in the corner of this abandoned plaza with a discount furniture market as one of the only remaining stores in that area. It's definitely an older place as you can tell by the squeaky chairs and chipped off pieces from the furniture, but it is clean, and very quiet which I like as well. They have specials written in a whiteboard at the front of the register, and they are hung high as well. The menu is posted up on this wooden door before you get to the register to order so you will have an idea of what you want BEFORE you get to the beginning of the line.. I opted for the Philly cheese special which was a cheese steak that came with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, mayo (at request) and a LARGE amount of melted provolone cheese which entirely made the sand which!! It was creamy and thick! The sub roll was toasted all around and the flavor was great! I got fries as my side item as it was $1.75 charge to substitute fries for their hot chips. Again, the cheese is what makes this sub as after one bite it's clearly easy to see why! It was all really good and my waitress was really Nice as well! I would come here for lunch anytime! The hole in the wall places tend to have the best food food and this is no different! I'll be back here again for sure!

The first time happened at Christmas. It was ordered Christmas Eve to be picked up before you closed and we get there. Nobody had any idea and they couldn't place the order because they were close to closing!!! Second time a couple weeks ago, my mom ordered at the drive-through..pulled up and they informed her they were all out of personal pan pizzas!! Third time was today my mother placed an order before church went there to pick it up gets in line.. lines not moving.... She goes inside for a 6:15 pick up. Nobody has any clue about it being ordered and they ask if she wants to wait of course she says no that was the whole point of ordering it AHEAD OF TIME!! I'm not sure if it's incompetent Management or that the people working there have no idea what they're doing, but this is ridiculous and we never get any kind of compensation!! This establishment should be embarrassed! We plan on telling all of her friends don't bother going there!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

The visit got off to a slow start with no one around to seat customers. It was shortly after 2p so the buffet was closed and perhaps the rush was over with the staff taking a break? Don't know. But after a few minutes I went back to the kitchen area and finally got the attention of a gentleman who was there working on some of the equipment. He offered to locate someone who was working. After another few minutes a gentleman came out and asked what he could do for me. I commented that we were there for lunch and would like to be seated. Seriously, you can't make this stuff up. In the interim a homeless man came in and started taking the pizza off the buffet table. My husband felt bad for him so he gave the man some money so he could pay for the food. Anyway, I digress. We were seated and given menus that appeared to be xerox copies and difficult to read. There were no prices on the menu and we asked the price of a medium pizza the waiter said he didn't know until he rang up the order. Hummmm.... I took a chance and ordered a medium pizza, hand tossed crust with 2 toppings. My husband ordered a medium supreme pizza with thin crust. When I ordered tea the waiter said he would have to make some so that would be a few minutes. Really. Then he circled back by the table and said that he was leaving to go get lunch for the crew and someone else would be taking care of us. I thought..really.. you have to go get lunch somewhere else? What's wrong with the food here? At that point I seriously thought about leaving. However, after a reasonable amount of time my pizza and tea came out. The pizza looked great so I was relieved. I took a bite and honestly, I don't remember the last time I had pizza that good! I gave my husband a slice and he totally agreed. Shortly afterwards his pizza was served and it looked great as well. I didn't try his because I just don't care for many of the ingredients that come on that one. We finished the meal and were ready to leave but it appeared that the employees were all sitting in a booth enjoying the lunch brought in from elsewhere. I stood up next to the table so they could see we were ready to go. Our waiter got up and brought us the check along with carry out boxes. Will we be back? Very undecided on that one. The unknown pizza prices turned out to be a total of $40 for 2 medium sized pizzas and one tea. We agreed that if we do return we would just order one medium sized pizza and share it. The pizza I ordered was absolutely delicious which is the reason for the rating in spite of the overall odd experience.

My friend got the Baleadas with eggs and he said the meal was as it usually is absolutely positively scrumptious! I got the pupusas and I got two that are Loroco, which is a vegetable that is akin to to collolard greens and two with beans and cheese. They were huge and filled with fresh white cheese and other yummy ingredients. I also asked for an avocado that I ate with my meal as well. The coleslaw was also very flavorful that had some little spicy Ish peppers in it. There was a live band playing music in the background. The police had a pleasant lively, Spanish vibe, and the service was excellent! The servers repeatedly came and asked us if we needed anything else and how the food was. The prices are also very good. If you haven't tried those Primos I recommend you come by and give it a try!

Throughout our dinner, we saw others do pick up orders but no one else sat down for dinner. Once we sat, the hostess asked if we wanted anything and pointed to the menu on the table that listed desserts. After further clarification, we realized there were some appetizers on the back that was upside down. We ordered the cheese dip and she asked if we wanted chips and salsa and we said yes. When it came to ordering drinks, I asked for sweet tea but she checked and they didn't have any. I ended up ordering Dr. Pepper and she asked if I wanted the can or the bottle. I had seen a drink machine so I had assumed that was where the drink was originally going to come from, but I asked for a bottle. I also did not see an alcoholic drink menu though u saw a bar area. The salsa was heavy on the tomato flavor with a bit of a kick. My husband was not a fan and the chips were average. The cheese dip was not warm and severely lacked flavor. It was a good consistency, but I was disappointed. As we waited for our dinner, the hostess did not check in to refill my husband's water or see that we were low on chips. When looking over the menu to find dinner for my 4 year old, the kid menu options only showed Italian meals. I ended up ordering a cheese quesadilla with rice and beans for him. The cheese in the quesadilla could have been melted more, but there was a ton of cheese inside. The beans were very liquidy and lacked seasoning. Rice was good. I ordered the ACP with steak. The steak had a good flavor and the rice was smothered with the cheese sauce. I did appreciate that as someone who likes cheese sauce, but their cheese sauce was lacking flavor. When I ordered, I had asked for added grilled onions that were left off my order. I did not ask for them to fix my order though. I also got a side of tortilla shells which is a first when I have ordered ACP in the past. The dish overall was not very warm or hot at all which I expected with us being the only ones in the restaurant. My husband ordered the Quesabirria and it came with 4 and a side of beans and rice. My husband did not touch the beans because they did not look appetizing to him. He said the Quesabirria was okay, nothing special. It was warm, not hot when it arrived and the cheese was not really melted on the tacos. I would say overall my experience would not intrigue me to come back. There may be better items on the menu to try or a better experience with the staff at a different time of night that I am not aware of. However, I was left not thrilled and would go to another local Mexican place. It was also a bit weird to have Mexican and Italian dish options. Their Yelp page is not claimed, their facebook is not updated and their website doesn't seem correct. If I was someone just looking online to determine if I would try this place, I would be very hesitant since there is not a strong online presence that is needed in today's world.
