Great food and mean all of it not just the pizza!! Very reasonable prices and great service. Hard to get in an out of parking lot and to locate a menu so I took a photo of current one while at my last visit in March of 2024!

    Average and underwhelming Sicilian!
    Michael S.

Perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing? Perhaps I didn't and the pizza is just average? A good pie is hard to find at times when you're a few hundred miles from the epicenter of good pizza! I'd heard good things about Mama Ginna's and their take on Italian. Looking for a good Sicilian, that's exactly what I got, but it comes with mixed feelings. The dough is certainly chewy like you'd expect from a good pizza crust of that style. However, the center pieces were really thin and not the consistency of the outer slices. The sauce used is just kinda there and lacks much flavor or pizzazz! While giving them credit for a really good average rating, I'm just wondering I'd I ordered the wrong thing? Perhaps I'm right and it is just...there?

For starters, our lunch cost $50 for 2 adults and a child. That seems a little bit wild in my opinion and for that price, I expected more from the food. My niece had a single slice of pizza for her meal. I had a chicken cheesesteak from the lunch menu, meaning it was 8 inches. My mom had an eggplant sub also from the lunch menu. Both of our sandwiches were primarily bread. The chicken in mine was mostly scraps/edges of chicken. There were no bites or strips of chicken and 80% of my bites were only bread. I don't think I will be coming back.

My favorite pizza is the margarita but we have ordered every pizza off of this menu and it has been fantastic every single time. Stromboli also highly recommended! They give you bread, oil with spices, and butter as a complementary appetizer but honestly, I don't really love their bread. It's too dense. I feel like it needs to rise longer or something. I am not an expert by any means but I don't love the bread. My favorite thing about this place...During the winter, I absolutely love sitting right in front of the fireplace. Kind of disappointed whenever they don't have it going. The ambiance is amazing. They always have a good game on the TVs at the bar, which can be seen from pretty much everywhere you sit in the restaurant. We also love that. Service is always really good. The servers here have a desire to please the customer, and it is always felt. Love this place!

I've been driving by this place for years and wanting to try it but never getting the chance…read more Luckily I finally did. The pizza is very good and a really good go at NY style. It has all the things you look for in a NY style - specifically the crust is spot on: firm enough to support the pizza but without too much crunch and just a bit of chewiness. The lunch specials seem like good deals and the bar is very well stocked. This is a very good pizza-pub type of place where you can get some good food and good drinks.

First off, we have gotten delivery several times and the pizza is just good and it has been a…read morerelatively easy process, but the pizza is not beyond just above average and certainly not good enough to overcome the incredibly rude service. Delivery in the past and it worked fine however, the last time I tried to order, it was a debacle. When you try to order on their website, it shoots you off to a 3rd party site. This time the site said that it offered a 10% discount when placing the order online, but then would not allow me to make the topping modifications I had always been able to make before. After trying and retrying several times, I decided to call the restaurant directly. When I mentioned the issues with the site, the manager said that I should contact the 3rd party site that their website was making me order through because it was not his problem. When I asked that he honor the 10% ordering discount because I tried to do it the way they wanted and the site was not working properly, he got angry and said I could not make dictates to him. I was just following what his business advertised they would do whether on his site or the partner site they sent me too. Since my family was hungry after a several hour long road trip home, it was a Sunday night so options were limited, and it was getting late, I decided to place an order with the manager anyway who treated me like I was wasting his time. After, placing the order, he said it will be 15-20 minutes. I asked how he would deliver it without my name or address which he never asked for. He then got angry again saying "you want this delivered? You never said that!" Delivery was the whole reason I was trying to order the pizza through their website in the first place and I stated that up front, but he was not listening because he does not value his customers. So, he blamed me for not telling him, when he never asked if it was delivery or pick up. At that point, I told him to forget it and found another place to order from. First, if I were running the business, I would want to know when my business or my partner site was not working properly and would thank the customer for sharing that experience so I could get it fixed. Instead, he got angry and displaced blame on his partner and me the customer . Second, if there were an easy fix like honoring the promised one time discount so I could keep a loyal customer's business for years to come, that would be a no brainer decision. H failed that test, too. Third, talking over and blaming the customer for his inept order processes is never a winning strategy. While no pizza is worth this hassle, this barely above average pizza certainly is not. Ultimately, they lost what had become a loyal customer because they were convenient. When they stopped being easy to give my money to, there was really no reason to ever come back. It is sad that they choose to run their business like this.

It had been a long time since our last visit, but considering, we were in the area, we decided to grab a few pizzas from Papa Murphy's. If you've never been, this spot a bit different than the other pizza places in the area. They will build you a custom pizza, with whatever toppings you'd like, but they don't cook it. It's a take and bake situation, so you bring it home, cook it in your own oven, to your liking. There is a bench to sit and wait if it's taking a bit, but no tables for dining in. Dining in is not an option at all. My wife wanted a peperoni pizza, so we ordered on with a thin crust, i wanted a thicker crust, so opted for their original crust with a ground sausage and onions. The staff was friendly, and quick to get our pizzas assembled. It wasn't long at all, and we were on our way with 2 pizza's ready to cook. They provide very clear instructions for cooking, and once we got home we put them in the over...about 20 minutes later and they were cooked to perfection and tasted great. It's rare we're in that part of town, but whenever we are, and get their pizza, we are always very satisfied with the price, options and quality. I wish there were one closer to High Point, but will continue to give them future business when I've got the opportunity.

Also worth noting that you will still get adequate cheese on this pizza without having to ask for extra cheese. My getting to go depends on where my family travels but I definitely like the brand and would go again if I had the opportunity to do so.
