On our way home, my wife and i were looking for a quick, and easy dinner, as well as something that could provide a day or two of meals. It had been a long time since our last visit, but considering, we were in the area, we decided to grab a few pizzas from Papa Murphy's. If you've never been, this spot a bit different than the other pizza places in the area. They will build you a custom pizza, with whatever toppings you'd like, but they don't cook it. It's a take and bake situation, so you bring it home, cook it in your own oven, to your liking. There is a bench to sit and wait if it's taking a bit, but no tables for dining in. Dining in is not an option at all. My wife wanted a peperoni pizza, so we ordered on with a thin crust, i wanted a thicker crust, so opted for their original crust with a ground sausage and onions. The staff was friendly, and quick to get our pizzas assembled. It wasn't long at all, and we were on our way with 2 pizza's ready to cook. They provide very clear instructions for cooking, and once we got home we put them in the over...about 20 minutes later and they were cooked to perfection and tasted great. It's rare we're in that part of town, but whenever we are, and get their pizza, we are always very satisfied with the price, options and quality. I had to call to let someone know I was present for curbside pickup but otherwise it was a good experience and I got my food in a timely manner. I was traveling and we were waiting for them to open after they'd come to get me from the airport. Since I can't have this in NYC and you can get the pizza with whatever toppings you want on it (I got my signature pizza), I had a happy few days eating this despite suddenly getting a cold. Also worth noting that you will still get adequate cheese on this pizza without having to ask for extra cheese. My getting to go depends on where my family travels but I definitely like the brand and would go again if I had the opportunity to do so. read more

I know it's a pizza chain restaurant, but Papa Murphy's is GOOD! The concept of the place is pretty simple - take 'n' bake (so make sure you have access to an oven at home). I decided to try the new cheesy stuffed crust they have been advertising in a Papa's All Meat pizza and the garlic monkey bread. When I picked up the food, the staff were very friendly and directed me to their pick-up area. Baking the pizza is very easy. They give you instructions exactly how to make it and you can keep it in the tray it's picked up in. The monkey bread has garlic in every bite so I was a big fan of it. The pizza was also wonderful! I prefer cheese stuffed crusts (the more cheese the better), but my husband does not. The Papa Murphy's stuffed crust wasn't overly cheesy, so it was a great compromise for the two of us. However, #SuperHubs and I agree that we will be back and soon. Upon entering, we were greeted kindly and, when told we were newbies to PMP, one of the staff explained the entire pizza making process to us. Here it is... 1) Choose your crust (original, thin, pan, stuffed, or gluten free) *If you choose gluten free crust, make sure you let them know if you have an allergy or if its just a preference. Staff said the pizza making process is different depending on the reason* 2) Choose the size (medium, large, or family size) 3) Choose your toppings (create your own or choose from the menu). It's that easy! Through the glass partitions, watch them make your pizza just the way you want it. They measure out the cheeses & toppings and add them with care to your pizza. Then, when it's ready, they wrap it twice in clear plastic, placing the heating instructions between the layers. Take it home, bake it, and enjoy! Lobby & prep area was clean and sanitized. Staff was masked up for our protection. There was no waiting in a long line, but we went on a Thursday evening. Manager said their big sale days are Tuesdays and Fridays, so if you call in an order on those days, be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes. After pizza was baked, we noticed the crust wasn't greasy, the toppings and sauce were full of flavor, and was packed with cheesy, stringy deliciousness. I'm sorry I didn't try this pizza sooner. I got a coupon for a free pizza from a friend and decided last minute to use it one day. I didn't know it was take and bake, but seeing it only took 10-15 minutes to bake the pizzas I ordered, it was not a big deal. On that note, I find it funny that a previous review says she didn't know it was take and bake either, which I'll give her that. But then she says it was too late to bake it so she ordered Dominos. I don't know about her but Dominos cannot get to my house in 10 minutes, and this pizza was much better than Dominos. Anyway, I ordered a supreme and a gourmet veggie with thin crust pizza. Like I said earlier, the pizzas took between 10-15 minutes to cook. Topping went all the way to the edge. And the pizza was fresh and tasty. I was highly skeptical of a take and bake pizza place when Papa Murphy's was first recommended to me, but I'm glad I gave it a try! This is by far the best fast food style pizza in the area. The ingredients are super fresh and the pizza is not greasy. I really like the original crust. I bake it for ten minutes as directed and then place it on my pizza stone for the last eight minutes--the crust comes out perfect! Love this place. The restaurant is very clean and they have an easy online ordering process. Some toppings are $2, while others are $1 or free, which you can see when you choose them online (if you create your own). They also have deals posted on their website. The pizza itself was So. Good. Love this place. Pizza and toppings are Fresh. Very Subway like. Has great specials and coupons( if you are local via mailers). Try the Stuffed if you like a lot of bread, or go for the Delite for something a little lighter. Always ask for the seasoning at the end. Store manager is a snot. Not nice and didn't like how she treated her employees. The nice employee named Sheldon was an absolute doll though. He greeted me as I came in and was extremely nice to every customer as he wrapped and finished each pizza - even though they were slammed busy. He was on his game! I almost gave up on take out pizza until a coworker told me about this place. I absolutely love it! I always get the hearty marina sauce for a base and just go from there! The butter crust is so addictive I never got it again... I ate an entire pizza in one sitting just because it tasted good! One day I walked out with a large Papa's Favorite, a 2 liter Mountain Dew, and Oatmeal Raisin cookie dough for $12! So definitely pay attention to the text offers! People that walked in and ordered there got their food before I did, and the manager was less than helpful. When I get home and try to cook my smores pizza, there are no instructions as to what temperature or how long to cook it for. Papa Murphy' s now advertises "that they now have Gluten free crust and it tastes good too". This crust must be for the consumer who is "only" interested in buying the crust. I went to order pizza today thinking that the staff would be competent enough to tell me what ingredients had gluten and which does not. I realize that fresh ingredients do not have gluten, BUT they could not even answer if the cheese or the sauce was Gluten Free. Honestly, I don't even think that they know what "gluten free" means. Since I was not interested in just buying crust I left without my purchase or the purchase of the real deal pizzas that pappa murphys sells. I'm not sure why you would just purchase GF crust? I can not give a review it it tastes good as advertised. My suggestion to this establishment and its employees....EDUCATE YOURSELF ON THE PRODUCTS YOU SELL. My suggestion to papa Murphy's... Please make sure that if you are going to sell a products that your employees are adequately trained and that your sauces and cheeses are gluten free as well.
