Great locksmiths, skilled and knowledgeable. I have been coming to Larry's in South Salem for as long as I can remember. They make copies of keys for me, rekey deadbolts, even came out to my new home and rekeyed the entire house for me. They are insured and bonded ... and surprisingly affordable. They also stand behind their work, so the few times I have had an issue with a key or lock, they have made it right, every time. I collect coin operated machines, and they were able to make copies of odd and uncommon keys, for fireboxes, gum ball machines, slot machines, safes, lock boxes and assorted vending machines. I've used Larry's for years and always been 100% happy. this time was not a good experience. James came out and put a new door handle with a lock on my door at my place of business. the next day when I came in to work I couldn't get in , the keys didn't work.. when I called to let him know he blamed me for doing something when trying to unlock door....He said he's really busy and would call when available.... it's been 2 days and no call.. I finally had to get in my room so had to pay another company to get in my room and had to put a new handle on because something was wrong with the one Larry's locksmith put on....this was horrible.... read more

This place has ways completed my needed tasks quickly and in a friendly manner. I have use them on multiple occasions and most recently having a lock and deadbolt rekeyed. We had different keys for the from and back doors so I took one set and a key in to get them to all match. My daughter wanted to borrow our travel trailer to camp in. I was concerned about lended it because keys might get lost. After going to stores with key cutting kiosks that didn't have the ability to copy the keys, the last store recommended Larry's Locksmith Service. When I entered the store I was greeted right away. I gave them my keys to copy & they had a couple sets completed within a couple minutes! I was so impressed. I checked the keys with my trailer locks and they worked like they were the originals. When my ding-dong of a husband locked his keys in his car while it was running in the driveway, I'll admit I was hesitant to call Larry's based on the less than stellar reviews. However I'm glad we did. They were the only company we called (and we called several locksmiths and towing companies) that offered a wait time of 25 minutes or less. Everyone else said 1-2 hours wait time and when the car is running in the driveway and my husband is late for work that's not going to cut it. We didn't go into the shop (so I have no advice on that) but the guy on the phone wasn't rude. Larry's arrived within 15 minutes and had the doors open in a matter of minutes. Record time. The tech was friendly and helpful. We have no complaints about their customer service or the work that was done. I think the price was fair for the job, I'm not happy we had to pay it (but that's my husband's fault for locking his keys in the running car) but I don't feel like we got ripped off. The last time this happened (yup, not our first rodeo unfortunately) we paid much more than this, but it was a small town so my point of reference may be off. Either way it was less than I expected. Needed a Key for my 95 F350 and got it in 2 min. Great place. Good service good people.

Today I tried to spray lubrication spray in the lock in the back of the shell on my truck. The lock seemed to be jammed up. The key would not turn all the way. After spraying the lock I still could not get the key to turn & the door was still stuck locked. I took my truck out to Larry's Locksmith in S. Salem, Or. I was had no idea how or what could be done. The shell is clamped onto the truck. With the door locked shut, I had no idea how we would even get into the back of the truck. The man at Larry's Locksmith came out and worked on the lock and doors. He was able to fee the lock and able to unlock the doors. When he opened the doors a jug of water fell out of the back of my truck. The back end of my truck was full of things we take to the Corvallis Saturday Market. We sell Cotton Candy & Sugar FREE Cotton Candy from 10am - 1pm An extension cord had gotten tangled in the lock parts on the inside of the doors. This is why the key had trouble opening the lock. Now that the doors were open, I asked him how much do I owe you? He said NOTHING. WOW Thank You! Becky. read more

After me and my girl being long time customers and happy with the service and keys we have gotten in the past. Today i can say I cannot recommend nor ever again send someone to Larry Locksmith. I walked in and was told i couldn't get the key I already had cut for my 2015 Ford F350. So i asked why? The response was we only cut keys we sell. Okay well how much is the key 150$ to cut and program it. Well with a 2015 F350 you have to hook up a computer system to program a key properly. To which i asked are you gonna correctly program my key for me and get into my rig? The response was "Sure?" His answer was shakey and unsure that he didn't know anything about the key or how it's programmed. Honestly i don't like to be lied too and I don't like to be taken advantage of. This is what was felt like was happen. Price gouging for a key thats 20$ on Amazon and then not actually providing the service you said you would is just not okay. read more

At Larry's Lock and Key this morning. Me: will you make 2 keys for me? Larry's employee: Sure. He takes key from me, walks to the machine, then the Phone rings. He spends 5 minutes on the phone and totally ignores me. When I ask: could you make my keys? He says he's on the phone. Uh, I'm a customer standing in front of you and you would rather talk on the phone? So he abruptly hands my keys back to me with the attitude, GO someplace else. Shocked, I left. Very poor customer service. What a jerk!!! I would have no customers in my business if I treated them like that. It's inconvenient but some other lock business is getting a new and loyal customer and it won't be Larry's. If I knew the owner, I'd give them this feedback directly but I don't and not sure they care. read more
